Welcoming all those who have received their BFPs for a November bubba - congratulations to all!
I felt terrified as not really TTC #2 but thanks to support from the kind ladies of MN I’ve decided to embrace and be excited.

34, baby #2, probably keeping it a surprise(?!) mum to a 7yo DS, hoping only 1 in there as only 3 weeks today and heft symptoms already

Welcome!!! Mine are 13 and 9 (I'm 36) so I'm in a similar boat of starting all over again 😬😬😬 x congrats! X

Thank you! Omg, it’s daunting isn’t it? I feel like I’ve forgotten it all, praying pregnancy doesn’t do me too dirty now I’m older as generally found it easy back then.. I feel like it’s going to humble me this time round, I’m already knackered 🙃🙈 congratulations to you! Xx

Congratulations!! I’m with you on the starting completely over my DD will have just turned 17 when I’m due. I’m 37. Honestly no idea what I’m doing I feel like a first time mum. Worse I was totally oblivious first time around at 20. This time I know the rules have changed but no idea how.

Thank you, congratulations to you too!
Oh my word- tell me about it, im exactly the same. My sister was pregnant recently and everything seems to have changed so much! Apparently we self refer to midwife online now, I haven’t yet as it does say to wait until week 5 of pregnancy. How are you feeling? X

Oh my gosh same!! I woke up this morning, stumbled for a wee and was half asleep on the loo. I was thinking oh my gosh i don't think I can go back to the sleepless days again! What have I done! 🤣🤣🤣 X

Just wanted to say that that’s the exact same age gap between me and my sister and we’ve got a great relationship 🥰 even better now that I’m older and she loves being the young cool auntie to my 3 year old lol X

ScaredPigeon · 20/03/2026 10:09

Made it 5w today so only 2 to go until first scan!

Im just telling my side whenever, told msot already as I'll 10000% need support if it goes wrong again, and I'm not sure any time will feel "safe" so no point waiting! My partner isn't fussed about telling his side just now though.

ScaredPigeon · 20/03/2026 10:09

@BrimfulofSacha hope telling your partner goes well today x

Thank you so much. I'm on a 10 hour countdown. DD has decided she isn't going to her party so that's going to make it a little more difficult. But it needs to be done. I've been keeping it to myself since Monday!

theotherfossilsister · 20/03/2026 10:27

Please can I jump on? I just got the positive test anda while technically due December I definitely won’t be allowed to go to term after placental failure and emcs. I’m forty and it’s unexpected and I’m scared. How is everyone else feeling? I was quite poorly last time but I want this to work.

was told by previous gp to go on progesterone as soon as I’m pregnant due to history but current gp says that isn’t necessary, which is confusing. Anyone know anything about this? Might go to epu as that’s what the group I’m in for my son is recommending.

I’m shaky, scared, excited. My son is three and a half so a big age gap.

Think this time I’ll be under consultant care very quickly. My son is asking me to play with blocks. I have to work. Very overwhelmed. Will read thread now and try to get to know people. Is there a WhatsApp group? I had a very supportive one before.

Hey, just about progesterone... I had 5 miscarriages before my now 9 year old DD. After the 5th miscarriage, the GP told me I must stop trying whilst I get referred for secondary intnfertility
I read a lot about progesterone and ordered a cream. I actually fell pregnant a few weeks later and started using the cream until 22 weeks and had my little girl.

3 years ago I rang my new GP (relocated) to say I'm pregnant and prone to miscarriage, could the prescribe progesterone or check my levels. They told me no. Said unless I have bleeding or pain they don't do it and won't refer to EPU. I never had bleeding or pain and went on to have a missed miscarriage needing surgery at 13 weeks.

I emailed my GP this time again and told them last time they refused. They refused again!! :( :( so I've started the progesterone cream again myself. Praying it helps x

Don't let them fob you off ♥️ it's scary how easily they do x

theotherfossilsister · 20/03/2026 11:19

@Supercornishstrawberry wow! Thank you for this, please can you send me a link to the cream? I’m very scared

There's a few! Serenity wellsprings which is good but more expensive, and source naturals progesterone cream (white and dark pink/purple tub) I'm using at the moment, 1/4-1/2 a teaspoon rubbed in to my wrist/inner arm/inner thigh alternating xx

Purrrrr · 20/03/2026 15:33

Are you able to contact the EPU directly? I’ve found them much more helpful than speaking to my GP directly (currently on 200mg progesterone twice per day).

This is mad! They prescribed me progesterone even though I didn't necessarily want or need it. Why wouldn't they just prescribe it? 😭

watermelonsugarx · 20/03/2026 18:01

Hi ladies! Can I join? I got my positive test yesterday, well 5 of them actually because I couldn’t quite believe the first one 😂 I’m 4 weeks today I think so I’ll be due end of November. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything progresses well ✨ x

theotherfossilsister · 20/03/2026 19:46

Thank you, so tempted to lie and say I had spotting to get the medicine.

I think my due date is 24th November

ScaredPigeon · 21/03/2026 05:48

This insomnia is so bad 🥲 ive not had more than 5 hours sleep each night for over a week.
Awful waking ip at 4am and just knowing thats you up for the day!

BrightLemonQuail · 21/03/2026 06:40

@ScaredPigeon i am in exactly the same boat, i have had 2 and a half weeks of waking at between 1 and 3am every single night, thats before i even knew i was pregnant. I am knackered permanently.

excitedemmi · 21/03/2026 06:58

Hi all! Joining after lurking a few days. Got positive tests on Monday (and the few days before). I am 5w1d now and so nervous as we've been trying for 5 years. Have an early scan through the IVF clinic in a couple of weeks. I'm taking a lot of progesterone (even injections!) and I am shattered!! Wishing everyone the best.

excitedemmi · 21/03/2026 06:59

Oh the facebook link only takes me to the homepage btw

PepperPot88 · 21/03/2026 07:46

@excitedemmi
Welcome! I’m in the exact same boat via ivf. On lubion injections, oestrogen tablets and cyclogest pessaries. After a few years of hormones being pumped in continually, I’ve got used to disturbed sleep.

The best part is that there’s a little embryo now so I’m very grateful even though we’re still entitled to moan!

Same here! Not helped by the fact I continually need to go to the loo every flipping hour or so 😅

CrazyKJ · 21/03/2026 17:32

Hows everyone getting on? 😊

We had our scan at the EPU this afternoon and everything seems okay. There’s definitely only one in there and all in the right place and measuring exactly as expected with a heartbeat ❤️ they also said it looks like I’ve got a corpus luteum cyst on the side I ovulated on which explains the pains I’ve had. Feeling cautiously optimistic X

Luckyducky468 · 21/03/2026 17:40

@CrazyKJthat’s amazing news! So pleased for you 🫶🏼 I’ve been struggling with nausea today really badly 🥹 I just keep telling myself it’s a sign of a healthy pregnancy and that’s getting me by. Jacob’s crackers coming to bed with me tonight 😂

incognito1991 · 21/03/2026 18:49

Hi all, congratulations to everyone! I’ve just got my positive, I have a 2 year old and I sadly had a stillborn in September so I’m very excited but rather scared too
