Welcoming all those who have received their BFPs for a November bubba - congratulations to all!
I felt terrified as not really TTC #2 but thanks to support from the kind ladies of MN I’ve decided to embrace and be excited.

34, baby #2, probably keeping it a surprise(?!) mum to a 7yo DS, hoping only 1 in there as only 3 weeks today and heft symptoms already

@BurningOutt I think I started being sick from 5-6 weeks my other pregnancies, but it's hard to remember as it was so long ago. I feel pretty normal today, was nauseous last week and I too resulted in a constant stream of carbs in the afternoons. I'm tired, but that's normal with a teen, a house to keep and a stressful job and long commute. It's an hour each way on a good day, and it's rarely a good day. Struggled to keep my eyes open last night. Was in bed by 9 and asleep before 10. But my body is waking me at 5.30 every morning.

ttcnumero2 · 18/03/2026 11:16

@BurningOutti am the same, was on Cariban for my entire last pregnancy. Just feeling slightly nauseous at the moment but nothing major. But looked back over texts and it was week 7 when I started being sick last time. I'm currently 5+5 and eating everything in sight before I can't even look at food again. Feel like I'm just waiting for it to hit.

This sounds like a great plan. I lost a stone in the first three months with my daughter from sickness because I just couldn't eat anything. As much as I don't want to put on weight I definitely don't want to lose it again either. Although I was 20 then and I fear the metabolism of a 37 year old is somewhat different

Supercornishstrawberry · 18/03/2026 12:17

No sickness here yet either! I'm 5+2. The odd wave but only happened twice. I want to eat everything though!!! Rotten cold today too which always seems to happen.

When did everyone get there cravings and aversions in previous pregnancies? I went off chicken with my last 2 so I'm waiting for that...!

Hope sickness holds off, I go abroad in 2 weeks ! 2 days after my first scan xx

Luckyducky468 · 18/03/2026 16:24

Hi lovelies! Joining you as a Nov 26 mama. I am 6+2 today and super nervous! We were trying for 3 years and in that time I was diagnosed with PCOS. We get married in summer 2027 and decided around Christmas time to stop obsessing over ovulation tests, pregnancy tests, tracking every little symptom and just let nature decide what is right for us. So the last 3 months we weren’t really trying but weren’t preventing either. I got my BFP on 28th Feb after a week and a half of painful and tender boobs that just felt different to me! We had an early scan this week as I had some pain on my left hand side (felt like pulling/pulsing sensation) so was worried about ectopic but baby is in the right place with a visible heartbeat. We’re over the moon!
when is everyone telling close family? I’m desperate to tell parents and siblings but DP wants to wait until 12 weeks which feels like a lifetime away!!
congrats to you all and wishing you all the best on your pregnancy journey ❤️

Lovely to see so many people joining! 😊

Weirdly this is the first pregnancy I’ve had really strong cravings that started around 5 weeks, absolutely loving salt and vinegar Pringles and anything bready lol. My sickness and nausea has started ramping up this week. It feels like I’m eating loads though as it’s the only way to keep myself from being sick 🙈
Fingers crossed the nausea stays away for your holiday! X

CSR721 · 18/03/2026 19:41

@Luckyducky468 congratulations!! With our first I was too excited, we had an early scan on Mothers day at 7 weeks and told our families. I had already told my best friends as soon as I got the positive test 😂 Im trying to hold off this time mainly because we have 3yo to think about, ive told work as I need a risk assessment but thats about it. Its sooooo hard though 😂

Luckyducky468 · 18/03/2026 19:52

@CSR721awww amazing I’m so happy for you. What was your families reaction like? Hope it was everything you dreamed of! I’ve told my boss at work too because I also needed a risk assessment but nobody else. I’m dying to though 😂 I’ll need to make another attempt at influencing DP 😂

Purrrrr · 18/03/2026 20:38

I’ve told my parents and sister as we had a late loss in December and would want their support if anything went wrong, plus I’m also going to ask them to help with minding our toddler for appointments. I’m not going to tell anyone else until baby is here if I can help it 😂 I’m also actually on maternity leave so not sure how to even go about telling work!

Excitement, and shock - my sister in law had only announced earlier in the week 😂😂

LPR16 · 18/03/2026 20:50

@Purrrrrcongratulations! I had a late December miscarriage too, so know how you feel about being pregnant again.
I also work in HR so if you need any advice with work let me know ☺️

Luckyducky468 · 18/03/2026 20:54

@PurrrrrAww I’m really sorry to hear about your loss. That must have been awful but so glad you have your parents and sister there if you need their support - hopefully won’t be needed though! You could tell your employer when you are due back. There’s probably nothing they would do until you’re back at work anyway

@CSR721that is brilliant!! Wow - 2 babies due at the same time in your family!! That will be amazing and hopefully helpful to see them grow together and you can bounce off of your sister in law when you need to.

I’m on annual leave this week from work and I’m struggling so bad with nausea and fatigue. Hope it goes before I’m back at work on Monday. I need to be in the office too so I’ll need to be careful I don’t give it away 😂

BrimfulofSacha · 19/03/2026 16:44

Got to the last page on the maternity referral form on the NHS website this afternoon and then chickened out of submitting it. I haven't actually said it out loud yet and I haven't tod DP yet. He will be home tomorrow night. It feels like I'm sneaking behind his back submitting the form given he has no idea and this wasn't planned. I know it's just healthcare. Tomorrow can not come soon enough. I'll be 6 weeks. It's just so surreal. Thankfully no sickness yet as DD would totally have guessed. I'm so scared this will change the dynamic between us all. I love our little life. I love them both so much. and I feel so loved from them both, but a baby isn't exactly a compromise type situation is it.

That was with my first haha, I havent yet told them Im pregnant again! The kids are both 3 now and thick as thieves 😂

Luckyducky468 · 19/03/2026 19:26

@BrimfulofSachaawww bless you! I wouldn’t worry about submitting the NHS referral if you would feel better telling your partner first. 1 day won’t make a difference - just do what you feel is the right thing to do. I’m sure your partner will support you either way ❤️ my sister in law felt the same when she fell pregnant with her 2nd but now they couldn’t imagine life without the two kids. You’ll all have even more love to give and receive with a new little baby too. It’s normal to have so many emotions though - I think you’ll feel better once DP knows ❤️

@CSR721ohhh I am with you now! That’s amazing can imagine the chaos they cause together 😂 do you know roughly when you’ll tell your family this time round? DP still not keen on telling anyone until 12 weeks 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

CSR721 · 19/03/2026 19:39

@Luckyducky468 we are going to wait until 12 weeks this time, only because I dont want to tell my 3yo too soon but want him to know first. We have a family party early may so hoping we will be able to tell before then as people will deffo question why im not drinking and im running out of excuses 😂

Luckyducky468 · 19/03/2026 19:49

@CSR721that makes total sense. I’m with you on the drinking excuses.. I’ve ran out but thankfully only one more event in a few weeks to get through without drinking before we announce. It’s torture trying to come up with lots of excuses 😂

Supercornishstrawberry · 19/03/2026 19:54

I'm 5+3 and I'm a really slim frame size 6 UK usually flat belly and oh my gosh I look so pregnant with the bloat?! Third baby. I go on holiday in 2 weeks time and my husband said 'how on earth are you going to hide that?!'. I'm hoping to hold out until 12 or 13 weeks before I tell my mum and as long as I can before my children. After my missed miscarriage a few years ago, I want as much time to pass as possible but this bloat has other ideas 🤣

Oh bless you. Hopefully the bloating will go down a bit. I hope you have a lovely trip. It’s probably an excellent time for a break as long as you’re not too nauseous. A little holiday bubble where this amazing pregnancy can be enjoyed just you and your husband before the world knows

BrimfulofSacha · 19/03/2026 20:06

@Luckyducky468 such kind words thank you. I’m definitely letting myself get so worked up. Getting upset over conversations that haven’t even happened yet. The hormonal water works are already here. I cried at work today for absolutely no reason. Thankfully nobody saw. I need to pull myself together 😂

Luckyducky468 · 19/03/2026 20:09

@BrimfulofSachaaw it’s so easy to let yourself get so worked up though. Just remember and be kind to yourself. It’s not easy growing a baby and having all those thoughts running through your mind too. You’ll be absolutely fine and remember DP loves you as you are - pregnant or not. You’ll work through it together im sure ❤️

CaffeineAndChords · 19/03/2026 20:59

Evening ladies. Congratulations all! Looks like I’m joining you 🥰 4w pregnant today. Got these 2 days ago! I have two older children, 11 and 8 (gulp, been a while since I’ve done this pregnancy thing!) and I’m 31 now, little nervous as I’m sure we all are in these early stages, but really happy. Due date currently 26th Nov.

Well, me and the hubby and two very energetic children 🤣🤭 I'll have to tell them I've eaten too much food. Thank you so much ♥️ xx

Congratulations!! I’m with you on the starting completely over my DD will have just turned 17 when I’m due. I’m 37. Honestly no idea what I’m doing I feel like a first time mum. Worse I was totally oblivious first time around at 20. This time I know the rules have changed but no idea how.
