Welcoming all those who have received their BFPs for a November bubba - congratulations to all!
I felt terrified as not really TTC #2 but thanks to support from the kind ladies of MN I’ve decided to embrace and be excited.

34, baby #2, probably keeping it a surprise(?!) mum to a 7yo DS, hoping only 1 in there as only 3 weeks today and heft symptoms already

Just joining in to say I have a stepson who is 13 and my little boy (2.5) adores him! He’s pretty good at entertaining the little one for a minute while I put a wash on or dish out tea too!

Ahhh congratulations!! How exciting 🥰

Med9 · 16/03/2026 08:26

Could I join too please?
@lhun3 I feel similar to you but we’ve been together 10 years and tried for 7. IVF round 2 and first positive. I believe we will be due end of Nov too ☺️

Sarah268 · 16/03/2026 09:44

wow some lovely messages to read @lhun3 @Med9 !! Very happy for you both!

I am 7 weeks today and finally starting to get some nausea but still not loads. Woke up this morning feeling rough (at 5.30 thanks to my 14 month old). He is also teething so let’s just say it was a tough morning before nursery!

I want to book an early scan this week but I’m wondering if 7 weeks is too early and i should wait til next week? Anyone know anything about this? I’m not blessed with patience so I don’t want to wait too long!

WonderfulSummer · 16/03/2026 10:05

I'd also like to join please! Very early days as EDD not until November 25th but cautiously excited. This will be baby number 2 for me - first will be just over 3 by the time this one comes around.

Ooh, that'll be lovely.
I had one at 7+5 last time, and I've seen friends who had scans at 6+4 or so all get pictures and heartbeats, so I think it can be lovely :)
I think you the pics get clearer later on, but there's usually something to see at 6 weeks I think x

Med9 · 16/03/2026 10:11

@Sarah268 thank you 🥰
congratulations to you too. I’m sure 7 weeks would be ok as with ivf, the first scan is booked for 7 weeks. I have seen on some occasions that people have reported being a few days behind on the scan so they had to go back 2 weeks later though. Maybe ask when you call and they can advise what’s expected at 7 weeks?

BrimfulofSacha · 16/03/2026 14:08

I'm almost certain I'm about to join you all but I'm too scared to test.
I'm 8 days late, felt nauseous all last week, DP commented this weekend "Why are you're boobs so big" and I've become so clumsy. I fully faceplanted the floor on the way to the office this morning. Had to be helped to my feet by four people like some frail old lady.
The reason I haven't tested is a baby was not in our plan. I have a DD(16) from a prior relationship and was ready to push through exam season to freedom. DP does not have kids, used to think he wanted them but is scared at the state of the world. We don't live together currently, he works in the city which is too far to commute from mine, I don't want to move DD at such a critical point in her schooling.
I "know" I'm pregnant but I'm scared to be proved correct. I'm not ready for that conversation with DP. I don't think I could end the pregnancy. But this was not in our plan at all. DP is the most wonderful person but I don't want to 'trap' him to a life of nappies. I could afford to do it solo if I have to, but that would still be unfair to him knowing he has a child out there if I go through with it.

I know I just need to take a test and be brave and talk to him

YourGreyDuck · 16/03/2026 15:43

I had some bleeding last week and thought it was going to be a negative experience. I am not long back from EPU and saw a heartbeat. Measuring just under 6 weeks. I got progesterone to start and back for another scan at 8 weeks.

I am excited I have saw a heartbeat today as I have had 3 consecutive miscarriages.

wishing everyone the best.

CSR721 · 16/03/2026 18:12

Anyone else struggling with fatigue? 🥱🥱 was exactly the same with my first except I didnt have a toddler to run after!!! No nausea just horrible exhaustion 🥱 just wish I could stay in bed all day 😅

Took a test after work. Turns out I know my body. EDD 14th.
so one scary thing down. Another to go.

🎇 Due November 26 🎆
LPR16 · 16/03/2026 20:02

Firstly congratulations @BrimfulofSachait’s wonderful news, even if it feels a bit daunting right now.
I’m sure it will go ok telling your partner, sounds like he’s more worried about world (aren’t we all) than the immediate reality of being a parent. Hope it goes ok 🥰

LifeByTheSea123 · 16/03/2026 20:05

@BrimfulofSachathe thought of telling him is probably the scariest bit, he might need some time to process but I think whatever our journeys we are all still processing at this stage! Hope it goes ok xxx

Sarah268 · 17/03/2026 11:21

@CSR721 yes the exhaustion has hit me like a train this week. Could literally have stayed in bed all day yesterday. I forgot about this from last time 🤣 I am also ravenous! Like need a constant stream of carbs. I thought this time I would try not to put on quite as much weight but I think that plan is going out the window 🤣

@BrimfulofSacha that’s stressful for you, I can definitely appreciate that! Hopefully when you share the news with him it will alleviate some of the pressure on you. Life does sometimes go in unexpected directions which is no bad thing x

Booked my scan for end of next week. I went for 8+5 to give the chance of the best view of the little bean 🤞

Hope everyone is doing ok this week. My focus at work is at zero right now 😬

SlightlyAmusing · 17/03/2026 13:47

Can I join? I'm about 7 weeks pregnant (est due date around 2rd Nov) with a very surprise baby. It's been a very stressful few weeks but we are beginning to come around to the idea. We were done as we already have 3 wonderful children (and we are old!) so it has been a lot to get our heads around, we spent the first week or 2 deciding what to do, but decided in the end to leave it up to mother nature and it seems to be continuing. I've already had an NHS scan last week and there's thankfully only 1 in there, with a heartbeat.

I still feel disbelief despite seeing it on a scan!

BrimfulofSacha · 17/03/2026 13:55

Thank you all for the kind words.
I haven't told DP yet. he works in the city in the week so stays at his house, this isn't a conversation to be had by phone or text. I am hoping DD still plans to go to her party on Friday night so we can have a couple of hours privacy.

Symptoms mostly feeling good today. I had terrible sickness the two other times I have been pregnant., I know there is time but I so far only have that hard metallic taste and very very mild nausea. Boobs are still a bit tender but nothing a good bra can't help. The side effects of relaxin are kicking my butt though. Last week I spilt multiple hot drinks, yesterday fully fell over, last night broke two glass Tupperware boxes. I did manage to get out for a 6km run at lunch, my legs were like spaghetti for the first few km's. I seem to have no control of my knees. Heart rate is definitely higher than usual too. I was training for my 4th Ultra marathon before I my bfp. Not sure if I should just try and stick to my training plan as long as I can. It will definitely help with energy levels to do some training. I'd be 25 weeks at the race, so not impossible, but probably unlikely.

I hope everyone is well

Wow @BrimfulofSachafor the ultra marathon!! I am a Hyrox girl but I was advised against any HIIT during IVF and then pregnancy, so I’m hoping to return once the baby is born!

I'm a bit of a jack of all trades. The ultra running came with the relationship with DP. before that I did OCR, I still do OCR and had some events booked but it is safer to knock that on the head and just keep up running, swimming and a bit of strength. I was not a fitness girly when I was pregnant with my DD and I was so sick I couldn't have done anything anyway. We will play this one by ear...or rather stomach.

Have you been able to do anything on your journey? I have some friends that are Hyroxer's I haven't been brave enough to dip a toe yet. I'm not a crowd person.

Kathi154 · 17/03/2026 15:21

Hi everyone, tentatively joining! I’m 6+3 with my first. I had some strong one sided pains early on so have already had two scans. They didn’t find anything wrong but said it’s quite hard to see clearly because I have a few fibroids. They didn’t seem too concerned, but I feel like the progress looked a little bit slow for 6 weeks. They’ve booked in another scan for 2 weeks time. So I’m trying not to let the anxiety take over too much, but I’m definitely spiralling!

Bluebellsfortwo · 17/03/2026 23:56

I can't believe I am saying this but I have just had a positive test. My first was conceived through IVF and we were literally just about to pay our deposit to do IVF round 2 abroad when I got the shock of my life today. A natural pregnancy of all things! We have previously been told we have a 1% chance of natural conception due to severe male factor infertility and diminished ovarian reserve. I never thought this could ever happen.

Still only about 3 weeks but just had to blurt this out somewhere as I'm not telling anyone else just yet!

BurningOutt · 18/03/2026 09:10

Congratulations @Bluebellsfortwo! I’m 4 weeks today I think and just used up my last test - very strong dye stealing line. But I feel if anything great - no symptoms and loads of energy. I had quite bad sickness in my other pregnancies (constant nausea rather than vomiting) but I can’t remember when it kicked in - for those with mornings sickness, when did it start?

Ive always gained loads of weight in the first trimester as the only thing to stop the awful abuse is eating carbs, so really hoping to avoid that this time.
