@Nosejug i just remembered as you are the closest date to me ..I can’t remember everyone else’s dates etc .. it’s very confusing as so many .. I think there is only 1 person later than me ? I think that everyone else is infront of me ?! Might be wrong, Awh I can’t wait for bigger movements .. hopefully in the next week it will happen ✨🙏🤞🏽💛

@pastelheart oh cervix kicks .. hope it’s not too sore, I know from my last scan the placenta is sitting nearer the back so that’s good, I’ll hopefully feel more soon .

Sara237 · 11/02/2026 12:02

Have any of you signed up for or are doing nct classes? With my son we had a free local group at our children's centre and I made a great group of friends who met up once or twice a week on outings or to each others' homes for playdates. That course is scrapped now so looking at nct as local to me but it's £290 now and I'm only really wanting to to get my 'village' in place...my previous group are all long done with babies now so I'm a bit of an anomalie! Is it worth it?

magpie234 · 11/02/2026 12:13

@Sara237 Starting Bump and Baby in a couple of weeks which gets good reviews as a more modern take on NCT. They are all hosted in pubs which drew me in 😂

Sara237 · 11/02/2026 12:30

@magpie234 Thanks, I don't have a local one unfortunately I thought they looked really good. Enjoy!

zirafica · 11/02/2026 14:03

We just had our 12 week scan so I suppose it’s official now!! Hit me like a ton of bricks!
We had a lovely friend reach out today and ask us if we wanted basically anything we’d ever need (and more) from her soon to be 1 year old, so things are getting so real.
due date: 21st August, C section most likely to be a week earlier!

SamVan · 11/02/2026 14:48

@Sara237 we are doing happy parents happy baby and the classes are very geared towards making friends so they might suit you.

@magpie234 i’m getting what I think is pelvic girdle pain as well. It’s the worst when I try to turn over in bed but also some pain when walking/ breathing etc. Sometimes I’m just stuck unable to get out of bed cause it hurts too much. 😭 I wonder is this is gonna continue till the end.. what does yours feel like? I also have some rib pain - I might have pulled something when I sneezed. I also peed myself a bit. Delightful!

pastelheart · 11/02/2026 15:06

@magpie234 aw thank you! Yes a little boy, although I don’t think he’s that little tbh! The pram was so easy to put together, took me about 10 mins (I didn’t even have to read the instructions) it took me longer to get the box open lol

@Nosejug I don’t tend to listen to him anyway… hence our bedroom currently resembles a baby shop show room 😂

@dubkitten this makes me feel sooo much better and the kind of positivity I need, he’s out all day today……….

@Sara237im half temped to go and buy a doll from the shop and put it in the pram and go for a walk 😂 I haven’t looked at any groups yet, would you recommend doing them before baby gets here? I didn’t do any of this with my first son

@AmberRose26 not sore as such but they do make me jump! Yeah I think my placenta is near the front so it’s been good that I have felt strong movement already.

@zirafica congratulations on the scan. Were you shocked at how much baby had grown?

x

zirafica · 11/02/2026 16:21

@pastelheart honestly not so much, got a heads up from a friend it'll be very different. the midwife was showing us everything and the only thing i was interested in was if things were where they should be and if it was healthy. i was more shocked at the fact that this is actually it and it's not gone badly and now i'm actually going to be a mum in 6 months and what on earth am i supposed to do with that now, i am not fit to be a mother??? i keep telling myself meth heads have babies you will be fine, but somehow it feels VERY overwhelming all of a sudden!

SarahAndQuack · 11/02/2026 17:25

Goodness, it's such a horrible day! Hope everyone is ok in the grey.

@Nosejug - oh, I can't be cross they stored it outside; they won't have space otherwise and TBH I didn't even know if they'd hang onto it to give back. I am now slightly worrying about spores given what @Sara237 says, which is a good point. But it'll all be fine!

@FancyGoose I hope you're having a better day today!

@Sara237 - no, I'm still struggling on with my pre-pregnancy jeans, but they are not comfy when I'm weeding! Did you? I am living in leggings atm as they are so easy.

I am also thinking about classes so very glad to have recs for other things as well as NCT. I really valued my lovely NCT group when DD was tiny, but I'm also a bit worried about feeling out of place not being a first time mum. Thanks for the recs @magpie234 and @SamVan !

@zirafica yay for the scan! I know that feeling exactly. But you have got this! You're going to be great, and it's going to be the best thing.

I have just established from my MN June babies group that all of us are feeling tearful and crap today, so we have concluded that weeks 21-23 are for feeling rubbish. I am really reassured to find it must be just some kind of hormonal shift and not me losing my mind!

On the plus side my brother and his wife are coming up at the weekend with their gorgeous snuggly toddler daughter, who gives me enormous hope, and <whisper it>, it is supposed to be sunny.

AmberRose26 · 11/02/2026 18:28

Oh, bit off topic but just while in my mind, I think the thread get full after 1000 posts - usually around 40 pages .. we’re on 36 pages 800 odd posts, so still a bit to go .. but just wanted to say incase we want to continue on the group we may need to create another one soon ish .. 😉

pastelheart · 11/02/2026 18:37

@dubkitten ahahaha 😂😂 I’m deffo gunna build our bedside crib and then put all his stuff in there!

I have ordered a breastfeeding pillow, that also doubles as a pregnancy pillow today. Was only £15 on amazon and has good reviews so going to try that first and see how it is and if it’s rubbish I will look into the spenny ones. I only have a couple more things on my list now!

@AmberRose26 ah yeah I have been keeping an eye on our post count. Honestly when I started this thread I thought it might only be me and @Backtotheicsi chatting for 9 months! I never thought we would get to almost 1000 posts and made lots of friends and had such a lovely place to vent, moan, share and ask for advice 🩷 and just chitchat obvs.

@zirafica you are 100% fit enough to be a mother and the fact that worry crossed your mind proves it. You will be the best mum 🫶🏼 x

Maybe someone can take responsibility for starting the new thread (thread closes at 1000 posts) and they can gather everyone’s due date and put it in the opening post? I’d offer but wouldn’t have the time unfortunately

pastelheart · 11/02/2026 20:29

@dubkitten you are so clever!!

everyone send me their due dates and I can do it xx

Oh yeh .. good idea .. my due date - 3rd July 🤞🏽✨🙏.. awh love love love the baby cuddles pic 💕.. thank you for sharing .. soooo can’t wait for this 🥰💛

Sara237 · 11/02/2026 21:38

@pastelheart 24th June though think if have elective it'll be a week earlier. Xx

zirafica · 11/02/2026 21:48

@SarahAndQuack @pastelheart thank you both so much! I feel like we don’t talk about the weird feelings enough, and I’d feel ashamed admitting this to some people in real life so really appreciate it. I’ve now also broken out in some sort of rash, it’s not itchy at all and ChatGPT says it’s hormonal but honestly AT WHAT POINT DOES THIS GLOW KICK IN CAUSE I AM READY FOR SOME POSITIVES HERE please?
Love the idea of a fresh thread with a post with everyone’s due dates so we can keep on top! My due date is 21 August/ elective cesarean probably 14th August!

I broke out in a rash just under my jaw line and it was put down to hormones too, got an antihistamine cream and it cleared it up

magpie234 · 11/02/2026 23:05

@pastelheart Thanks! My official due date is 1 May but I am having a c-section and was told today it would be at 39 weeks or so. So maybe put 24 April? Gah writing that down makes it feel so soon! Having a girl 🩷

Nosejug · 12/02/2026 06:32

Due 27th June, obvs I’m unlikely to make that but for gestational age comparison I imagine due date is best!

FancyGoose · 12/02/2026 08:29

Wow, can't believe we have nearly filled up the thread. So nice to have so many people to talk to who understand pregnancy after IVF. My due date is 28 March but currently scheduled for C Section on 24 March 🥰

SarahAndQuack · 12/02/2026 08:32

YY, @FancyGoose, this thread is wonderful. Thank you so much for starting it, @pastelheart.

My due date is June 19th.

I am getting really fed up with pregnancy insomnia now. My sleep is rotten anyway and I'm really groggy this morning. I have to go prune fruit trees and pretend to be awake. At least it's one of my favourite clients. Tomorrow I'm digging out a new border and planting it up and I hope I sleep a bit better!

magpie234 · 12/02/2026 09:35

@pastelheart Maybe we should just call the other thread IVF Pregnancy Club so others due later feel they can also join when they see it? I agree with @SarahAndQuack - thanks so much for starting it. It has made a big difference to me knowing other women have arrived here after a tough fertility ride too.
