Hi!

Just thought i’d start a thread as I know a few of us have found out we are expecting! Would love to hear everyone’s stories to start us off as I know December feels soooo far away yet!

I’ll go first, I already have one child, he is 6 years old Smile Totally did not plan to have anymore once me and his dad split, I was one and done. However, years on met my current other half and I just knew straight away I had a change of heart. We started trying 18 months ago with negatives every month, later finding out there was infertility on both our sides. We moved in together January this year after deciding we would give IVF a try once we were settled in new GPs etc, only to find out we were pregnant! This came to an abrupt end 3 days later where we had what’s known as a chemical pregnancy. Absolutely heartbroken I had half given up, what were the chances we would fall pregnant again so soon after so long of nothing?

Well, here we are, after only 1 cycle later, pregnant again! Hopefully this time is different for us, it definetly feels different! Grin

Me again! Now 7+3. The nausea has hit hard this last week I’ve found nothing so far that helps it. We’ve decided to book a reassurance scan in for Thursday evening 🤞

ILoveSleeping · 29/04/2025 17:11

Hi everyone! I’m 7+1 today. Panicking a little as I’ve been feeling really sicky and rubbish the last few days but today I’ve woken up feeling fine. Boobs still hurt which has been my main symptom but now I’m worrying something is wrong.

How you’re feeling is exactly how I’m feeling too and we are at a similar stage. I’ve done nothing but worry so I’ve booked an early reassurance scan for Thursday evening. Hope you’re doing ok

@Loum85 @ILoveSleeping if it helps ladies another one here whose 7 weeks today and my symptoms come and go. One day I feel ok then another all day I’ll feel sick. From what I can remember all totally normal!

is it your first pregnancy’s?

It is my first, I’m still in shock to be honest but in a good way. How about you?

Hi, I have a 3yr old DD and had a miscarriage in January so I think that’s why I’m worrying more. My boobs still hurt and I’m still feeling really hungry which I’m taking as a good sign. I have my first midwife appointment on Thursday so hopefully I’ll get some reassurance

Thank you everyone for your kind messages. I went to EPU this morning fully expecting to have miscarried but we saw our tiny chicken nugget and a heartbeat. Baby is measuring 5+6 and I'm 6+2 from transfer date but we know implantation isn't always straight away.
I have a 19 x 10 x 7mm SCH sitting right at my cervix/uterus entrance which is causing all the bother. It's currently bigger than baby which increases risk but baby is far away from it so EPU have discharged me.

I cannot tell you the relief I feel.

I'm taking the week off work and asking to work from home more regularly for the next few weeks.

Sending love to you all

Was so lovely to read this, wishing you all the best for a smooth journey from now on x

Bluebanana414 · 30/04/2025 08:09

@ILoveSleeping @loum85 my symptoms definitely coming and going - awful nausea and sickness last week to feeling mostly fine this week! Fatigue is a constant but I am quite a tired person normally tbh.

I have my first ever mid wife appointment tomorrow (8w 6d) which despite everything seems to have come around quickly. I guess it will feel a bit more real after that!

Hope you gals can all enjoy the sunshine this week and thanks again for everything- really appreciate the support here while noone else aside from partner knows xx

I’m literally so glad I found this thread as i feel less alone. Partner knows but i dont think they ever fully get it, which is understandable. Good luck at your first appointment, mines a week today xx

Hi everyone. Due a surprise baby 5 in December. Feeling more nauseous than I remember being before. How is everyone x

chickengirls · 30/04/2025 16:23

Also is anyone feeling like their stomach has already grown? I’m only about 8.5 weeks! Maybe bloating?!

I’m 6+3 and honestly huge! My work trousers don’t fit at all and they did last week!

chickengirls · 30/04/2025 16:48

Same!!! Struggling to hide it and we aren’t telling anyone at all for a good while yet, probably not even after our 12 week scan as we had a late miscarriage into the second trimester a few years ago so feeling very nervous this time round!

Durhamgirlie · 30/04/2025 19:35

@chickengirlsim 6+3 and im literally the fattest i’ve ever been, only things that fit are stretchy 🙈 Ive been a size 10 all my life and never had to worry about putting weight on til these past few weeks! I know it’s probably just hormones but I’m gonna need to start reining in my eating a bit before I end up looking like a house end ha!

Also on this note, I’m going on holiday in a few weeks and my bikini body is NOT the one atm. Anyone got on suggestions on good workouts/stuff you can do in the gym while pregnant? I never normally workout (I have a gym membership but usually just do the odd bums & tums class) so beginner level recommendations please 😂

X

I am mega bloated at 7+4, first pregnancy. I literally only feel comfortable in pjs right now 😂

LemonMermaid · 30/04/2025 22:18

Same here. 6 +2 & feel like I’ve already put on weight. Leggings feel uncomfortable & only comfy in baggy pjs. Just ordered myself some maternity leggings so I can start feeling comfy. Didn’t buy any maternity clothes until 6 months in my last pregnancy.

Ive got permanent indigestion at the moment. Not feeling as nauseous today which is a bonus as felt awful the last few days. Breasts are not as tender either. Still awaiting a phone call from my local maternity department regarding any appointments.

houwseevryweekend · 01/05/2025 13:23

@Durhamgirlie Kayla itsines has good pregnancy workouts. You can trial it for free. I have her Sweat App as there’s loads of different instructors and programmes for both gym and at home including stuff like yoga and barre so think it’s good value for money. But you could prob find pdfs of some of her programmes online to download for free if you don’t want the subscription.

I now don’t know what symptoms are related to pregnancy or antibiotics for the UTI. I have bad nausea and loss of appetite but that’s also a side effect of the UTI, same as drowsiness. My bloating has gone down marginally but I’m only comfy in elasticated waists! I got some trousers from Uniqlo in a bigger size that are slimming and warm weather means floaty dresses.

CandyRain89 · 01/05/2025 15:38

I’m 7w4d today and can’t feel like I’ve grown yet but have other symptoms like nausea. Also had a scan today which showed a baby with a heartbeat but don’t feel like I can relax just yet. With my last miscarriage we seen a heartbeat at 8 weeks but it ended up in the loss anyway.

Loum85 · 01/05/2025 19:35

Been for our early scan, everything is good, measuring at 7+4, thought I was 7+5 but what’s a day. We both got very emotional seeing the little bean. Hope everyone’s doing ok in this heat 🥰

Durhamgirlie · 01/05/2025 19:50

Thanks@houwseevryweekendill check her out!
Pleased to know I’m not the only one expanding by the day ha x

PennyPencils · 02/05/2025 06:57

Morning
6+3 here today and getting rougher with nausea by the day.
Running around after a toddler and trying to potty train is a good distraction though.

CheeryPombear · 02/05/2025 11:27

Morning everyone,

We had our scan at clinic today. Nice strong heartbeat and measuring 6+1 which is a few days behind again as we are 6+6 from transfer date but clinic said it's not a problem and will even out.
My haematoma has grown but again they're not concerned, enoxaparin stopped but continue all my other meds.

We are now discharged from clinic to midwife! ❤️

I'm extremely tearful and very nauseous! Morning sickness seems to be all day for me but savoury foods are my friend right now.

I also received a beautiful bunch of flowers and a self care box full of bubbles, candles, mindfulness stuff from my team at work. I'm truly blessed.

Pinkstuffs · 02/05/2025 15:47

This is my second baby and I have barely any symptoms, is anyone else the same? I have some mild nausea very occasionally, I’m slightly constipated and bloated and I’m quite dizzy. Oh and exhausted but I have a 1 year old so that probably contributes! I had to do another pregnancy test yesterday to make sure I was still pregnant 😅
