Creating this as a space to continue the Feb 2025 chat - quite frankly it's all starting to feel very, very real right now!

Hope everything has gone well today for those in for sections 🥹

I am in the wait until he decides to appear club 🫣 19th February for me but hoping it’s no later I’m a little fed up!

apple67cherry · 28/01/2025 20:11

Thank you for lovely messages. Update: 1cm dilated and expecting a sweep this evening and staying overnight. If things progress and bleeding continues or water breaks then I will be staying in hospital until my baby is here 🥺

hahavzv · 28/01/2025 20:44

36 weeks today! Due 25th Feb but C-section date will be in my 39th week. I feel like I am so ready to have this baby! But I'm still working and still going strong. Feel like I'm physically stronger in this pregnancy and this is my third!

superj21 · 28/01/2025 21:00

Good luck @apple67cherry !

SBelfast · 28/01/2025 21:34

So sorry you got bumped @elb1504 must be so frustrating and a day of needless anticipation/anxiety waiting there. Good luck for tomorrow wish you all the best!

Same dates here but with a date for elcs in week 38. Feeling very close now! How are you feeling?

hahavzv · 28/01/2025 22:52

@UncharteredWaters feels so close yet so far. Want it over and done with 😩 what's your reason for a 38 week date? I was hoping I could get that too but policy is 39 weeks here.

TTCagain85 · 28/01/2025 23:23

Policy is 39 weeks here as well! Having my c section bang on 39wks on 6th Feb. I am so ready. Babe is back to transverse after a brief stint of having her head partially down in an oblique position 😁

After an easy pregnancy everything hurts. I have so much edema in my lower abdomin and legs now. I've also got a massive pile hanging out my arse which is starting to cause a lot of pain (sorry TMI!) even though I've not been straining 😭😭😭 the rib and arm pain on my left is also such a bummer, with a little bit of sciatica thrown in for good measure. Role on eviction day!

Good luck to those in the final hurdle. We are nearly there ladies!

UncharteredWaters · 29/01/2025 02:30

@hahavzv i have diabetes so they aim for week 37 but she’s on the much smaller side and sugars have been excellent so happy to let her cook that bit longer to week 38. It’s a balancing game between risk of being early/getting respiratory distress and needing SCBU/NICU etc versus keeping her in that little longer for growth and the additional risk of placenta beginning to fail.
Im very fortunate they have been pretty flexible and are happy to bring it forward or push it back depending.

UncharteredWaters · 29/01/2025 02:31

@TTCagain85 sorry you’re description just made me laugh!
Hope things improve soon!

bumpkin34 · 29/01/2025 06:23

Oh good a few of us in the wait and see club. Hopefully we're not waiting to much past our due date!

Sorry to hear you got pushed back @elb1504 good luck for today!

Also good luck to @apple67cherry and whoever else I missed. Sorry replying on my phone and can't look back at the messages.

So I thought I would try and collect some colostrum last night, in hope it might spur things on. I managed to get 4 syringes full and my god did it give me some painful braxton hicks that I thought might carry on and I'd have a baby this morning, but that was deffo wishful thinking. Slept the whole night as usual 😂

MyHappyNewt · 29/01/2025 09:13

@bumpkin34 also in the wait and see club here! Due on the 10th but my first was born at 41+1 after five days in mostly latent labour…the joy! No signs at all yet

WildeWalker · 29/01/2025 10:23

Joining this thread very late in the game, but I'm 38 weeks today and due on 12th Feb. Feels very real now. Googling every little sign. I was induced at 37 weeks with my first so all feels very new. Good luck ladies

apple67cherry · 29/01/2025 10:28

Update: induction started 4 days early 10 minutes ago! Already have mild contractions and they want to break my waters shortly as little one is quickly wanting to make an entrance 😂😂😂 38+3

QuantumPanic · 29/01/2025 10:29

Congratulations @UrbanSquirrel !! So pleased you had a good experience.

I can't believe there have already been so many babies!! It feels like Christmas. Or some kind of baby bonanza.

jaybeez · 29/01/2025 10:29

Got my section date through this morning for if I don't go into labour naturally - 20th Feb! Feels strange to have a confirmed eviction date this time around (if she doesn't come before then).

QuantumPanic · 29/01/2025 10:30

Whoa! Good luck @apple67cherry !!

Ahh! So exciting @apple67cherry, hope it all goes smoothly and keep us posted !

bumpkin34 · 29/01/2025 10:43

Good luck @apple67cherry

And congratulations on mini squirrel 😍

UrbanSquirrel · 29/01/2025 10:56

Thank you everyone! Just in case anyone else would like a very positive c section story to reassure them... We ended up being taken in first due to the gestational diabetes and it was honestly a very good experience. The only real pain was the anaesthetic going in before the cannula and spinal were put in, and that was just the kind of 'sharp scratch' you get from a vaccination or dentist visit.

I didn't even feel them start the procedure, and the worst bit of that was the pressure - at one point it felt like the surgeon was standing on my bump! But that was only brief and it was very bearable. We had the screen dropped so we could see MiniSquirrel being lifted out, which was amazing, albeit completely bewildering: "Oh my God it's an actual baby."

We were down on postnatal by midday, less than 3 hours after the op, and we should be going home shortly after lunch today. They got me up and walking at 5am this morning. I haven't slept out of fear that something will happen to her if I do 😅 but at least once we're home Mum and Dad will be able to keep an eye while MrSquirrel and I have a power nap .

A surreal experience but a rather wonderful one!

Good luck @apple67cherry! x

What a pity about pushed back, but hope today you're gonna meet your true love @elb1504

Any updates from @UrbanSquirrel? I haven't checked on Fb yet, so I'm not sure if you said something there. I'll have a look.

@apple67cherry good luck today. I hope everything goes smooth and quick. 😊🤞

Piluka · 29/01/2025 11:18

@UrbanSquirrel i missed your post here!!! Wow!!! I'm so happy for you!!!! That's so cool!!! Mental note, push for a C section next time (if my Post traumatic experience allows a second time, lol) I'm so happy for you!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ It seems a nice procedure.
