Handhold, 12 week scan today

I’m petrified. Both my previous pregnancies I was told at my routine dating scan ‘I’m sorry there’s no heartbeat’. Both times I’d had a positive early scan at 8 weeks and no bleeding / cramping.

I don’t know how I’ll cope if it happens a 3rd time. Friends keep announcing their pregnancies to me. How do I cope?

I have 2 weeks to go for my 12 week scan. I have 1 son, no other pregnancies. However, I went for an early scan last month and the embryo was measuring nearly 2 weeks behind, so I am preparing myself for bad news too.

FWIW, in my pregnancies, I was 20 weeks before I looked remotely pregnant and even then I just looked thicker around my waist.

I didn't feel pregnant until I saw the baby on the scan, it was like my brain finally realised, could tell all the flutters was the baby moving then lol and the morning sickness suddenly kicked in.

Oh @Dalmatian0 I feel for you. It's so scary. We've been there. 2 miscarriages last year. Just deciding when to start trying again - third time lucky hopefully.

I utterly can’t believe it but scan went well. Baby alive and measurements on track. Thank you so much to you all for posting,
it really helped. And glad to leave this post here to give others hope - after two heartbreaking experiences I couldn’t believe it could go well this time, but it did 💗 still a long way to go of course but taking this as a huge win xx
