Ps - for all of those wanting guesses on Nub theory. The ‘nub theory queens’ page on Facebook is brilliant!

Afternoon ladies, just quickly updating that I had my dating scan today. New due date is 20/02/25, though she remeasured when baby had curled up at one point, so I think the original due date of 18/02/25 is still probably more accurate.

All looked well, and it was lovely to see baby jiggling about a lot. Hope you're all doing well!

MaggieS21 · 14/08/2024 17:44

Hi ladies

Thought I would update with you my NIPT results which came back as lower chance 🥳 I feel like I'm on cloud 9 right now and can engage back with my pregnancy especially as have started to feel small flutters here and there

@Piluka I hope you have a happy outcome from your test at the end of Aug. My result was 1:3 from the combined test so wishing you all the best x

Reading all the hunger posts! I'm a 2 breakfast girl these days! Granola/alpen wirh fruit first thing, then egg and avocado on toast about an hour or so later. I find that really fills me up!

Unrelated to hunger...but is anyone else quite breathless already. I'm only 14.5wks, but feel breathless. Taking all my prenatal vits aswell as aspirin, cyclogest, biokult and aspirin. Perhaps a side effect?

I'm breathless too, heart racing too sometimes so I'm wondering if I could be anaemic. I've had it in pregnancy before, and they're classic symptoms. I kind of hope it is as Google only comes up with dreadful alternatives!

Cocobob · 14/08/2024 20:40

Hi all, I'm a bit late to the party but wanted to say hello and join you all if that's okay. I'm due 7th Feb, 14 +5, the furthest we've ever got. We've had two losses prior to this so the anxiety is high but so far so good - Apart from the ever changing symptoms to try to understand 😅it's been so lovely to read through your posts and hear your experiences, lots of ah ha moments ❤️ hope you are all doing okay and feeling as best you can xx

8weekscrossed · 14/08/2024 21:30

Hi @Cocobob, I’ve just joined too ☺️ I have my dating scan on Friday. Hope you are ok and sorry to hear about your previous losses x

Cocobob · 14/08/2024 21:43

Hey @8weekscrossed ah lovely to know there two of us 🙂 I really hope your scan goes well, sending you all the positive vibes. All okay here thanks, just bloated 🙃 xx

herewegoagain123456 · 15/08/2024 06:30

Morning guys,

Hunger wise I'm not too bad at the moment, so just making the most of not having to eat every hour, although still seem to be piling on the weight annoyingly.

Breathless I am very breathless, in the gym takes me ages to do anything and walking the dog I'm like a snail 😂

Hoping this is all normal.

Had a banging headache for 2 days now which I would love to go.

Anyone else still waiting for their 12 week scan?

TTCagain85 · 15/08/2024 09:08

Glad I'm not the only one with these symptoms, it's reassuring to hear others are in the same boat.

Pregnancy after loss is a whole new ball game, anxiety through the roof.

I'm flying from Northern Ireland to England for a long weekend with friends, should I bring my materniry notes (in northern ireland we have a great big fat green folder, nothing is digitalised!)

apple67cherry · 15/08/2024 09:18

14+4 today and since 14+1 my symptoms have just gone..may have sore boobs here and there but literally just feel normal lol. With the low Papp a and this being my first baby it is now worrying me now I don't have sickness to reassure me 😅😔

Anyone else feeling like symptoms have disappeared? I've got a gender scan booked for when im 16+0 even though we found out he's a boy but want that confirmation and to see my little boy again😙

10 mins later I take back what I said, sickness has come back after 2 days of going without it. Thought that was going to be it 😂😂😂

elb1504 · 15/08/2024 09:57

@herewegoagain123456 I keep getting random headaches too generally at the end of the day think it's tiredness/heat/dehydration!

@TTCagain85 I would probably take mine!

@apple67cherry This is me, one minute feel great all symptoms gone then next minute heaving once again, the joys!

BusyTiger · 15/08/2024 11:34

When is everyone's next appointment? I had my 12 week scan last Wednesday (all good!) and I have an obstetrics appointment next Tuesday that they booked in before I had the scan - I just have no idea what it's about! It's not with the community midwives as my next appointment with them is beginning of September so just

Lidlisthebusiness · 15/08/2024 13:18

@BusyTiger I have a consultant appointment next week, at 13+3, then my next midwife appointment should be first week of Sept at 16w, but I'm having it early at the end of August.

MonkeyTales · 15/08/2024 13:38

Had my 12 week scan.12w 3 days. Why does it look like it's so little room for it in the uterus? Everyone else look like they have loads of room :( is it normal? They wouldn't answer any questions and I am freaking out a little

The uterus grows with the baby! And if you have a full bladder/bowel that’ll impact it too. Your baby is absolutely fine and the space will grow with them 🩷

Have you been referred to a consultant for anything? That’d be my best guess for what it’s for. That’s usually when you’d initially have an appointment with an obstetrician.

My next appointment is the midwife at 16w.

Not that I'm aware of no! The midwife said we were low risk and I don't have any medical conditions but I did wonder if that's what it was but i just cant think what for.. Suppose we'll turn up on Tuesday and find out!

Mine looked like this when she zoomed in. I think it can be difficult for them to get what they need and have to zoom in and out, move around and chase the baby, etc. The lady kindly gave us two pictures - one body pic and one that was a close up of the head. You can't see any room in the second pic!

superj21 · 15/08/2024 15:28

My bloat has gone and my teeny tiny bump has taken over 😁 it's so small and probably still looks like bloat when I'm standing up but when I'm lying on my back it's pretty noticeable and like a firm ball. I can't stop smiling!

Shortcake06 · 15/08/2024 16:41

Hello
i haven’t posted in weeks! But have been following everyone’s messages.
i had my 12 week scan today which had me at 13+3.
unfortunately my NT was 4mm. Booked in for cvs with fetal medicine on Monday.
absolutely devastated and feel like I still can’t get excited about things.
if anyone has any experience of this I would love to hear from you. Absolutely terrified of the cvs as well 😞

AnnieStar12 · 15/08/2024 21:24

@ab03 just catching up on this thread and saw your post. I got the exact same risk factor as you for DS 1/207. I had the NIPT done privately which just said “low risk” I didn’t feel much more reassured by that especially as it said it was only 3% fetal fraction. I do feel a little anxious about it, tho I know statistically it’s highly unlikely that I’ll be that 1 in 207. What have you decided to do?

Also, how old are you? I’m 41 so that would have hugely impacted the numbers on the NHS screening as the age risk factor alone is already 1/80. So I’m trying to tell myself that my results are probably quite good for my age, as all my bloods and markers would have to of been good to get it to 207 from 1/80. But I do just wish I’d have got a much lower risk factor as the other conditions came back as 1 in many thousands.

@Shortcake06 I’m sorry to hear that, must be a tough time. Have you seen there is a dedicated antenatal test board on mumsnet where you’ll find lots of people with this experience. There’s also a charity called ARC (antenatal results and choices) who specialise in supporting women going through tests like this, they have a helpline. Hope test goes okay and you have people supporting you.

ab03 · 15/08/2024 21:41

@AnnieStar12 thanks for your reply, but sorry you have similar worries. It sounds as though there is a good chance everything will be fine for you though! I'm 30 so I'm worried that my age is hiding a bigger risk, especially as my pregnancy two years ago had a risk of 1 in several thousands - I don't think 2 years makes that much difference so my bloods must be very different this time. I've decided to get the NIPT. I was worried about not being reassured by another 'low' risk result, but am trying to remember that it is far more accurate, I don't think it is likely to miss cases like the screening does. I have also been having a look at some positive down syndrome accounts on Instagram which are reassuring just in case that does end up being the result. I definitely think your markers must be good for you to have better odds than your age would give you on its own - really hope you manage to relax, hopefully the 20 week scan will provide some reassurance when that comes around

@Shortcake06 sorry to hear you've also got this extra stress. I hope everything is okay and hope time passes quickly while you are waiting x
