So we’ve been TTC baby #2 for 5 months. Had a positive test in April that sadly ended in a chemical pregnancy. So this is cycle 3 since then and got a very faint positive on an internet cheapie last night at 9dpo. I went out and bout a CB digital today and have got my BFP confirmed today on it 😊
My EDD is 4th April 2025 going from LMP and cycle length.
I’m aware it’s very early days and anything can happen that’s why I’ve decided not to tell anyone I know until after my period is due which is Friday. Just can’t keep it to myself and would love for others to join and talk to who have recently found out they are expecting in April 2025!

I got my booking in appointment on a voicemail earlier. Somehow missed the call. It's not for another 4 weeks or so and I'll be 10+3 ... do you think that's too late? Should I ask to be seen earlier?

I always thought it was good to get it before 10 weeks. I could be wrong but you could always ask about it?

Lcw29 · 17/08/2024 07:53

Does anyone suffer with hay-fever? I'm really bad but not sure if I can take anything? I'm using a nasal spray but it's not hitting it. My eyes are sore, I cannot stop sneezing and it's exhausting 🤧
I read loratadine is OK but I wanted to ask if anyone knows for certain?

Welcome @87Rainbows @OverTheRainbow18 and congratulations!

Fx for you @spttc and @Lcw29

Currently wallowing in waves of nausea. Got the most boring snacks possible and trying to distract myself with Harry Potter!

Aw that's tough. I felt sick this morning but thankfully it wore off. I usually get it bad so I'm waiting for it to hit lol

I Would probably call someone for advice with any bleeding just to make sure. My aunty had bleeding but was fine however it's always good to get it checked out. Maybe call 111. Sending hugs and baby vibes 💖

I think that's still in the nhs guidelines range as it's 8-10 weeks so I interpreted that has before 11 weeks. If you're worried you can ask if there's an earlier one but I think it's fine.

Thanks @Lcw29 I did ring maternity they booked me in for an early scan on Monday. Just wondering the doctor took a swab yesterday morning to rule.out thrush could this have caused it just hoping that baby is ok

Glad youve got scan. I'm sure it will reassure you. The swab may have irrated your body a little but I'm sure the Dr wouldn't have done it if not safe. And usually they aren't high enough to effect baby when testing for thrush. 🙂

You can check with your GP to be very sure, but in my last pregnancy I was on prescription strength anti histamines (to make me sleepy 😂) and babe was fine so I imagine it's ok!

Many things are not throughly tested for use in pregnancy so are ok under the supervision of a dr

SomethingDifferentBloomed · 18/08/2024 15:23

Hi everyone! Cautiously joining. I got my BFP last week, I think I’m around 5+4 weeks and due around the 16th April. I did a digital yesterday and got a 3+ weeks so hopefully things are progressing ok.

I did a self referral to the midwives on Friday so I’m waiting to hear back about a booking appointment, and I’ve booked a viability scan for two weeks’ time. I’ve been a bit nauseous but very manageable, my worst symptom is that my boobs hurt so so much!

imogenmcd · 18/08/2024 20:59

Hey everyone. 5+2 by my estimation in my first pregnancy. Feeling well so far but nervous at the same time. Wishing everyone well in their journeys!

ImHopeful2023 · 19/08/2024 13:08

Hey all so had my scan and had a flickering heartbeat was measuring 6+1 instead of 6+6 but they didn't seem to concerned about this and no blood around fetus or sac I'm shocked but so happy all is ok so far

BlueberryPoppy123 · 19/08/2024 13:27

Hello everyone. Nervously joining after 2 vvvfl today one in the am and another this afternoon. I'm only 11dpo so early days. This is my 4th pregnancy but had a mmc in 2014 with my 2nd. So trying not to get too excited Incase it's a cp or another mmc. I have 2 boys 12 and 4 both April babies 🙈 based on LMP my due date is 15/4 but I have long cycles so guessing I'm actually due much later in the month maybe even early May!

Haven't told my husband yet and despite actively trying since start of May I'm so scared tell him. Like it will jinx it. I don't know how to tell him either. We haven't told any friends or family we have been trying and I'm scared to share the news if I'm honest because I don't know how people will react 🙈

TigerLily90x · 19/08/2024 14:50

Hi all - hoping to join 😊
I am due in April 2025, going by the first day of my last monthly period I would be due 8th April, but when I did my clear blue test on 30th July it gave me “2-3 weeks”. So I’m guessing my EDD is more like 18th April?
Big congrats to everyone on their confirmed pregnancies 🥳🥰!

hopeful4us · 19/08/2024 16:09

Glad to hear all looks good @ImHopeful2023 and welcome @TigerLily90x @BlueberryPoppy123 @imogenmcd and @SomethingDifferentBloomed 😊😊

I’ve been prescribed cyclizine to help with the debilitating nausea. Fx it works!

I got what you meant I recognise your name from one of the TTC chats :) I'm still so nervous. Told my husband tonight not exactly how I had planned 🙈 just sort of cried at him after he told me he had paid up the stag we'd agreed he will go on next year. With my 2 previous babies I've gone over 15 days and 5 days... Stag weekend in Prague 7 days after due date 🙈 oops.

Lcw29 · 20/08/2024 06:53

@ImHopeful2023 I'm glad it was all OK!

I just got my booking appointment for 13th September. Feeling a bit sick today. Also was up all night with poorly 6 year old who has chicken pox. Thankfully already had it . His temp was like 40. Anyway, I'm going to attempt a cup of tea

Ribenab3rry · 20/08/2024 12:04

Hello,

Cautiously joining and posting in the hope someone else has been in this position and had a positive outcome!

Been trying for baby no.2 for quite a while and was surprised to fall pregnant the first time using OPKs. Got my first BFP on 26 July. As time went on, I hadn't really been getting much in the way of symptoms whereas with my first, I had nausea and sore breasts from very early on. I booked a private scan for 16 august when I should've been roughly 6 and a half weeks pregnant.

Fast forward to last Monday, I was feeling really faint/dizzy and had severe pain in my right shoulder on and off for most of the afternoon. I called 111 and they eventually asked me to go to a&e to rule out an ectopic pregnancy, due to a history of endometriosis.

After 2 hours in a&e, I was asked to go to the EPU the following morning. They scanned me and said I was 5w6, not ectopic, but too early to see anything inside the sac. They handed me a leaflet for "pregnancy of unknown viability" and asked me to go back a week later. I'm working away from home currently so called my local hospital and asked to be transferred to their care instead. They agreed and had me attend EPU on 16th August.

The sonographer measured me at 6w2, said the sac was empty and they would expect to see a lot more at this stage. My husband and I were taken to a side room and after about 30 minutes, a nurse came in and said come back in 2 weeks for another scan and gave me another leaflet for pregnancy of unknown viability. She was not particularly helpful or comforting in the circumstances.

When I had my first scan at 6w2 with my first baby, you could see the baby and a heartbeat. The 2 week wait is making me so anxious while I also battle all of the usual early pregnancy symptoms. I've pretty much given up hope that I will receive good news next week and expect to be told I have a blighted ovum. I've never had a miscarriage before so equally scared at the thought of potentially having to go through that.

I'm fairly certain my dates are accurate too as my cycles are really regular and I used OPKs, getting my first positive test at 10 DPO.

Has anyone else been through this and had good news at the follow up scan? It feels like absolute torture being in limbo like this 🫠

Hoping to be able to join and have put a request in for the Facebook group!

I found out a fortnight ago that I was pregnant, and only two weeks after we'd got married... It was a happy surprise as we were planning to try soon anyway. Now at 7+1 anxiously hoping that this little dreamboat will hang around 🙏❤️
