@TripleESept24 I also googled and wish I hadn't, I'm hoping a lot of the info is old from when the variant was stronger... but might just be kidding myself!

Going to be really monitoring babies movements!! If she's quiet I will feel like I have to go in. I was so uncomfortable last night too, and had what I thought was just really intense Braxton hicks! It was really quite painful and uncomfortable! X

PinkWatermelon88 · 27/07/2024 10:48

@TripleESept24 @rupertbear91 I had it on #1, January 2022. I was 28 weeks. My partner and I got it but I definitely felt worse, a bad head cold. The fatigue lasted WEEKS.... I'd say 3 weeks before I felt any way energised. They did an extra scan to make sure all was well but outside of that absolutely no issues. I let my GP and maternity hosp know but it was fine. You can take paracetamol (check with your Dr first ofc) for any symptoms and rest up loads, it really does take its toll and the last thing anyone needs is long covid! My midwife told me the earlier vairents and the most challenging for pregnant women but as long as you've been up to date with boosters etc all should be fine. Feel better soon friends xx

Honeyandsunshine1 · 27/07/2024 11:07

Oh no girls @TripleESept24 @rupertbear91 Im so sorry! It’s apparently quite rife at the moment 😞 I’m pretty sure I had it in May around 20 something weeks. I felt absolutely rotten but didn’t bother testing (stupidly). Hope it all turns out ok - if your hospital/midwife team aren’t worried then try to emulate that and steer clear of Google x

@TripleESept24 @rupertbear91 I had it 5 weeks ago, so when I was 26 weeks. I felt rubbish for 2 days, awful for 1 day, a bit crap for a further day, and then pretty much fine. Kicked the symptoms within a week. I know non-pregnant people who have suffered far more in the latest wave, so no guarantee that it’ll take you out and cause issues! I hope you have a nice easy ride with it and feel better soon ❤️

Today is the feeling awful day!! 😩😭 I'm away in Cornwall my other half has it aswell and all of my family! Hoping I feel ok for the long drive home on Tuesday! Took us 7 hours to get down 😣😣😣

TripleESept24 · 27/07/2024 11:46

I have been gifted a huge bag and boxes of Frida Mom stuff! A friend of mine down here had it all and ended up having a c section! There's so many of their pants, cooling pads, and a foam as well as a peri bottle! I wasn't going to spend buy any of it and now I have it all 🤣🤣🤣

SantasRubiksCube · 27/07/2024 12:01

Sending virtual hugs to everyone feeling unwell right now, it seems to hit so much harder when your pregnant, I grateful to not have COVID but am currently in the walk in health centre hoping for some antibiotics as I think I have a raging throat infection, it's so painful and swollen and like razor blades 😞

TripleESept24 · 27/07/2024 12:06

Well baby girls movements certainly aren't worrying! She's going mental in there just got the best video I've ever got of her moving 🤣 whole belly is rippling

tryingfortwo2 · 27/07/2024 13:22

@TripleESept24 @rupertbear91 I had it late on with number 1, maybe around 30 weeks I think. I was put on blood thinning injections for 10days as someone in my family has a history of blood clots, the risk of which increases with both pregnancy and covid, so they do it just to be safe. I think every pregnant woman with covid got them at some point at the start of covid, but now it’s only if you have risk factors. Would say worth making your midwives aware for sure, but they’ll hopefully just tell you to rest and hydrate! Hope you’re not feeling too rotten x

HRP1990 · 27/07/2024 13:37

@TripleESept24 @rupertbear91 I had it with my daughter back in 2022, once when we conceived her and again when I was in labour! She was born with no symptoms, no temp etc and didn’t even catch covid! We were popped in a side room with an ensuite in the hospital which was lovely lol. I had a cough for a day or two but fine apart from that. Hope that makes you feel abit better! X

TripleESept24 · 27/07/2024 14:12

Thanks everyone. I'm really hoping today is a he worst of it because I'm feeling rotten 😣😭😣😭

rupertbear91 · 27/07/2024 17:58

Thanks everyone feeling like utter death now. And typically it's 25 degrees again outside which is not helping!

I feel you. It's hot here too 😩😣 I am gonna go back to bed soon, managed to go to the sofa for a few hours!

TripleESept24 · 27/07/2024 18:14

Also just to add to the dreaded COVID, my constipation is back with a vengeance!!!! Hadn't had it in ages!! Ffs

WinsandSam · 27/07/2024 22:23

@TripleESept24 it's like we swap one symptom for another! Mine finally went 🥳 after weeks of lactulose and prunes.
Now I've developed indigestion, acid and bad hips.. oh the joys

HRP1990 · 28/07/2024 09:08

We spent yesterday hanging things in the nursery, putting shelves up etc! Feels like a proper room now 🥹 I also folded and put away all the newborn and up to 1 month clothing. But question for you, do you all have a mix of warm and cold clothing for baby? I have majority sleepsuits and long sleeve vets but it’s probably best to prepare for warm weather too? September is so unpredictable weather wise!

SC126 · 28/07/2024 09:12

@HRP1990 i personally haven’t got much for warmer weather. Mainly because I’ll be recovering from a c section so I won’t be going out much in September anyway and if it’s really warm, I’ll just stick baby in a vest.

I have been given some warmer weather stuff! Not much but I have a few pieces. But majority of mine is also sleepsuits I have a couple of dresses but with long sleeve vests under!

That’s true I could probably grab a few muslin type rompers and go with/without vest. I know baby can come anytime, but I’m 37 weeks from mid August so I guess he could make an early arrival! (I’m basically asking for confirmation to shop more 😂 so thanks for that!)

MudandMoet · 28/07/2024 10:11

Sorry to those of you feeling like pants! It sounds like Covid and colds are doing the rounds again big time. Hope you all feel better soon 💚

@Xur great news re: the hospital change. Shame it wasn't from the start there but at least you're there now and will hopefully have much better care for the end of this pregnancy journey 🫶🏻

@HRP1990 I've got a mix of long sleeve footed baby sleep suits (not sure if that's their name as some are super cute and will be for the day too if it's cool) I've got lots and lots of tiny short sleeve and sleeveless legless versions of the same and around 10 little cute romper style suits up to 1 month. I think end of August/September babies must be the hardest to buy for really because it's just on the verge of autumn. I guess if you're having a November/December/January/February baby you just know you need the warm stuff 🤍

longingtobe23 · 28/07/2024 13:58

Not much luck from my helper today 😂 but it’s too hot for me to help outside with the gardening, so I have put this up!
cant believe it …. 52 days countdown (unless she’s early … or late) 😮‍💨🥹

I said a couple of days ago about my husband asking for a massage for his birthday. I’ve had a rubbish day in terms of back pain, high readings for the GD and exhaustion. He came to me just now and said he wants me to spend the money on a pregnancy massage for me instead and has already checked that there’s an appointment available for me on his birthday - I really don’t deserve him 😭😭😭
