I have just tested positive today with a due date of 2 February. Have had a look and I can't see that anyone else has started a group for Feb yet. Is there anyone else out there who would like to join?

I think 1-2 weeks at this point is fine that’s what I would be expecting if you! Twins does run in our family but I’d rather just the one for now 🤣

Ok that's good to know, hopefully it hits 2-3 weeks when I retest! How exciting. One would be enough for me too Grin

retrievermum · 05/06/2024 18:11

Has anyone else got absolutely NO symptoms, at all? My tests seem to be progressing, and I didn’t have a lot of symptoms with DD but I definitely had more than I have this time around! I know it’s still early days (4+6) but I’m panicking!

Have my booking appt next week; midwife rang today and said cause of my irregular cycle it’s best to get me in and scanned ASAP.

Hi, can I join? Tested positive on Monday (was very faint) but had got slightly darker the last two days. Had miscarriage last May and another in February so feeling pretty anxious. Trying to just take it one day at a time but already worrying. Lost them at 8 and 10 weeks 😢 due date is looking like Feb 9th! Xx

gloriag16 · 05/06/2024 21:26

Hi all, joining the group too 😊 I had a very faint line using the easy @ home and 6 days early clearblue tests this morning and decided to use the ultra early digital test after work at 6pm. It came out "pregnant" 😍 I am very surprised because it was our only and first time trying, but we did use the ovulation tests because I have short cycles. First day of last period was 17 May and the test marked as peak of ovulation 26 May, so we tried that day and we got our first positive today 5 June. The app says that the due date should be between 16 and 20 February.

I have been feeling a bit nauseous since Saturday, very odd so early on! A bit tired and sometimes I have been feeling helpless 😅
It is almost like the idea of food makes me feel weird, but then I'm hungry, so I eat and feel better 😅

Mamma364747 · 05/06/2024 21:53

Hello! I tested positive over the weekend. I have a 6yo already. I'll be an older 40+ mum so I was a bit worried it may not happen again for me. I'm really happy though I wish I wasn't having a winter baby - I enjoyed a summer baby before and swanning around in maternity dresses. 😁

Mamma364747 · 05/06/2024 21:55

I have some mild cramping, like little twinges, and maybe a touch of nausea from time to time though I may just be over sensitive to how my body is feeling!

Me too! I have some very light cramping on the left/centre and some nausea but I may be overthinking it

Hi ladies, joining you for a February 2025 due date 🤞🏻
I’m 4 weeks 4 days, due on 8th February and I’m cautiously optimistic. I had three chemical pregnancies last year and I normally started spotting by 4W4D and so far I haven’t yet! If I can make it to 5w it’ll be a big milestone for me ☺️
I tested positive on 10DPO and tracked it until 13DPO then stopped because I was just making myself more anxious (will post progression below). Planning on booking a private 6 week scan to see if there’s something in my uterus.
When do you call midwife to schedule booking appointment?
So far my symptoms have been food aversion, nausea comes and goes, Insomnia and finally today is the first day I’ve had a little bit of boob pain x

@LacedBouquet probably varies greatly by area but I contacted my midwives at 4w4d and they called me yesterday to arrange my booking apt on 13th June so 6w3d. It was a lot quicker than I expected!

Congrats!

fsr111 · 06/06/2024 07:12

Hey ladies! Can I join? Tested positive yesterday and it was a complete surprise. DH & I started TTC in October 2021, tried absolutely everything (much to DH's delight at the time! 😆) for two years and not a whiff of a BFP. Had rounds of IVF last Autumn, first one failed, second worked but resulted in a MMC at the 12 week scan. Was totally scarred from the whole experience and gave up on the idea of having another baby (we have a DD who is nearly 5). Last month, we DTD twice around ovulation but not deliberately - and now a BFP. I'm excited but also feeling very cautious after the journey we have already been on...

mummy2nearly5 · 06/06/2024 07:21

Hi all please can I join, I'm mum to 4 very grown up children it feels 14,13,11&7. Have had 3 miscarriages and now have a bfp due around feb 8th. Have an appointment next Wednesday.

UrbanSquirrel · 06/06/2024 09:56

Welcome and congratulations to all you lovely people who joined yesterday ☺️

bravotango · 06/06/2024 09:59

My only symptoms are: mild cramping on and off, intense anger towards my DH for no reason, and a serious aversion to breastfeeding my toddler Shock

Roxttc · 06/06/2024 10:09

bravotango · 05/06/2024 12:57

What are peoples thoughts on early scans and holidays? I'll be 8 weeks the day before I go away for 2 weeks, in my last pregnancy I had a scan at 8 weeks which was great and really reassuring. Would you do one the day before you go on holiday? I'm so unsure!

I’m in a similar boat I go away at 7 weeks 1 day, not sure whether to go the day before I go or try and chill out and go after which I think would be a better option. When I get back I’m 8 weeks, was tempted to wait til 9 weeks to scan but seems so far away 😂

Roxttc · 06/06/2024 10:10

My symptoms come and go! I have sore nipples but not sore boobs if that makes sense and it’s worse in morning wears off during the day. Cramping here and there too and some tiredness not major

retrievermum · 06/06/2024 13:22

@bravotango how old is your toddler? Mines just turned one and I’m devastated at the thought of stopping breastfeeding as I’m almost certain she’ll self wean when my milk starts drying up a bit!

gloriag16 · 06/06/2024 14:14

Hey all, is it normal to feel helpless? It seems that every little problem is unsolvable. I think hormones are kicking in at the moment 😅

EastLondonCoffeeFiend · 06/06/2024 15:21

Hi all! Tentatively joining this thread because it’s still so early (4 + 3, due date from my app is 10th Feb) but need more moral support 😅

As per my username, I’m a Londoner, and this is our first one so feeling clueless… I just spoke to my GP and they said that I should choose a hospital and get a midwife via the hospital. Does that sound right?! I would’ve thought that the GP would handle the earlier stage to arrange the first scan etc. Feels very early to be lining up hospital open days! Any help massively appreciated 🙏

EastLondonCoffeeFiend · 06/06/2024 15:34

Also ironically I have gone totally off coffee in the last few days 😂

gothbaddie · 06/06/2024 15:44

Had a call from my GP who's arranged an early scan with EPAU next week - hopefully this will answer some questions (and hopefully put my mind to rest re multiples) 😬 I look about 4 months gone already!

Hello! It's nice to see some mums with older children, I have a 14yo & 7yo. Slightly anxious about another large age gap!

I’m pretty sure my friend in London had to do similar. She just picked her local hospital. I’m pretty sure you can change later on.

Hi, I also have older children who are 11,8 and 5. Looking forward to being able to share the news with them all being well 🤞🏻😊 this is my biggest age gap and I’m a bit worried about that 🙈

He's 18 months! Is that what happens in pregnancy, will the milk just go and then come back? I'm clueless 😂 I have mixed feelings, I think I probably will miss it but equally the thought of tandem feeding gives me the fear!

retrievermum · 06/06/2024 17:26

@bravotango I’ve read somewhere it will basically dry up at 4/5 months, but then tandem feeding is a thing so I dunno how it’ll work! I’ve been so adamant I was going to feed DD until she was 2 and now I’ve gone and got myself pregnant hahaha! Aiming for one singular tandem feed before she’s cut off 😂😂😂
