I have just tested positive today with a due date of 2 February. Have had a look and I can't see that anyone else has started a group for Feb yet. Is there anyone else out there who would like to join?

I’ve just booked my first midwife appointment and the one they gave is 1 month away. I didn’t have a choice. Is that too late for the first one does anyone know? I’ll be 8 weeks by then x

8 weeks is about right! I had mine with my first baby at 8 weeks.
I can’t seem to get through to my maternity unit to book mine in 🙃 x

glovepillow22 · 31/05/2024 10:37

Can I join please? Had my first positive yesterday and digital showing 1-2 weeks this morning - first baby. I think I'd be around 4 weeks 2 days and absolutely bricking it!!
Is it normal to feel a bit... numb?! Partner is delighted but I think I'm still in shock/denial...

Welcome & congratulations 🥰
I definitely think it’s normal to feel kind of numb to begin with. Once you get the ball rolling with your midwife etc it all starts to become real! I remember with my first baby it didn’t really set in until she was born 🙈 x

glovepillow22 · 31/05/2024 12:07

@mamataylor thank you 🥰 very strange feeling!

elb1504 · 31/05/2024 12:09

Hi everyone,

Tentatively joining got a very faint positive on 23rd May then bfp following from that.

I think due date would be around 2nd Feb but could slip into Jan due to cycle lengths varying.

This is my 2nd and feels so strange definitely hasn't sunk in yet and I feel more anxious than my first but think I was very naive to it all with that one!

I go on holiday next week so just seeing what happens then will book for an early scan when back!

Peanutbutterjelly123 · 31/05/2024 14:12

Hey all 👋
my tests have gotten darker so I’m slightly more hopeful now.
Did my midwife referral thinking it would take ages like last time, and they can back within 2 hours with an appointment for a week Tuesday 🙈 I will only be like 6 weeks I think.
from my AF I should be about 9 weeks by then but I know I ovulated really late and am nowhere near that far along.

Does anyone know if they’ll book my 12 week scan off my last period date or will the listen to what I think and wait a bit? I suppose if they scan too early it won’t be a bad thing, and will save my having to pay for a private one 😂

congrats to everyone else with their BFP’s, and also so sorry to hear about the losses too 💔

retrievermum · 31/05/2024 14:42

@Peanutbutterjelly123 same happened to me when I was pregnant with DD, I explained I thought I’d ovulated later but the midwife insisted I have a scan, so I had one at 9 weeks and another at 12!
This time I know I’m not as far along as my dates would suggest so I’m not going to say anything and accept the early scan 😂

PuddleJump · 31/05/2024 15:47

I had the same with my first @Peanutbutterjelly123 , i had a really weird long cycle, because of the stress of moving house I think. But same as @retrievermum said the midwife was keen to go by the last period date and I ended up with a scan at 10 and 12 weeks. Was a little bonus!

Would anyone be up for a WhatsApp group?

Hayl777 · 31/05/2024 17:29

Hey,
I’d be up for a WhatsApp ☺️
I phoned for my booking appointment today, was a bit of an anticlimax as she wasn’t in and only works a Friday so goodness knows when it will be 😅

YaWeeFurryBastard · 31/05/2024 17:31

I’d be up for a WhatsApp group too

mamataylor · 31/05/2024 17:31

Yes to the WhatsApp group! X

LK2610 · 31/05/2024 17:42

glovepillow22 · 31/05/2024 17:45

Count me in too!

Fannypop · 31/05/2024 18:23

I think I need to join you all Grin

Im 18dpo, this is my 17th pregnancy and will hopefully be my 2nd child. I have a DS (pregnancy 16) who is just over 3 Smile

Due to my history I had an early scan last week which showed nothing yet, and they did 2 HCG’s 2 days apart - my second HCG was today and my levels have increased 158% so it looks like this is really really happening. I’m booked in for another scan on Tuesday morning when my levels should be over 1000 and something should be visible!

Due February 2025
Peanutbutterjelly123 · 31/05/2024 18:27

Oooo I’m down for a WhatsApp group too :)

Think I’ll leave it as it is then and see when they offer me the ‘12 week’ scan and save myself paying for an early one 😂

Fannypop · 31/05/2024 18:29

Also I’m up for whatsapp, I was part of one for my sons pregnancy and it was such a support.

Hayl777 · 31/05/2024 18:33

@Fannypop

Sorry to hear u have had so many losses.
Remember to share ur scan picture, I'm booked in for an early scan at 6weeks+2 but i think it's only 5w +5days going off ovulation tests so will be interested to see what they see.
Fingers crossed for u x

I’ve had a fair few early scans, at 5+5 I’ve seen everything from an empty sac (ironically with my living child) to a heartbeat - it can vary so so much. I usually go on how high HCG is vs what they see on the scan, so for example if your HCG is over 2k but they see nothing, that’s more indicative of a problem than if HCG is low and they see nothing if that makes sense?

I’ve never had HCG results come back not worrying before. Even with my son, my HCG only increased 58% in 48 hours so was borderline. It continued to rise (but very slowly), but he was born at 37 weeks absolutely perfect Smile

LK2610 · 31/05/2024 20:13

That’s good to know 8 weeks is fine @YaWeeFurryBastard @mamataylor, hope you both get yours booked soon too! X

Thanks lovely! The midwife phoned me back today and hopefully I should get my appointment date in the next couple of weeks 😍 x

Confusedmermaid1 · 31/05/2024 21:20

Also started the ball rolling with getting my first appointment booked today, should hear within a few weeks 🤞🏼
Would also be happy to join a WhatsApp 😊

Tulipwood · 31/05/2024 21:49

Happy to start a WhatsApp group. Can someone DM me their number and then I can create the group and send the link around. Annoyingly I can’t start a group with no one in it but me, unless I’m missing something

Roxttc · 31/05/2024 22:51

Tentatively joining! I’m 14DPO tomorrow and have been testing positive since 10DPO, tests currently getting stronger each day. This is my first time ttc I’m in shock still a bit as I only came off the pill after 10 years on it 5 weeks ago, definitely wasn’t expecting this so soon! Husband is also in shock/denial 😂 Feels so early days still so not sure how to feel

Im 4 weeks today, due 7th Feb. I don’t even know what to do next, I was thinking to wait at least another week to make a GP referral for an appointment?
