How did you KNOW you were pregnant?

What were some of the early symptoms or unusual symptoms that made you think 'I better get a test.'

I remember my boobs being sore and hard one morning, which isn't unusual depending on my cycle, but it was the severe womb cramping after orgasm that alerted me that something was up.

Boobs were sore and I had some odd dreams which is unlike me. Just generally had a feeling which I didn't have the few months before when trying.

I cried at a trailer in the cinema. I never cry. That was on the Tuesday or Wednesday evening.

BFP at the weekend when AF hadn't shown up.

Metallic taste in my mouth.

1st pregnancy, i woke up one morning and one boob had doubled in size overnight and i had been up 4 times to pee.

2nd pregnancy i had not one sign..never had sickness which is odd as i had hyperemesis in 1st pregnancy.

I did a test lol. I've never had any symptoms before testing!

Oh I forgot the hyper smell too. I woke up to DH frying bacon one morning and nearly threw up 😂

I felt implantation every time. Not in a woo way. It physically hurt. I also had a coil once and could feel it the entire time it was in situ. I assume I just have a weirdly sensitive uterus.

1st pregnancy I went completely off meat! That was followed by nausea, metallic taste and by that point I realised something was up and tested.

The shopkeeper at my village shop told me I was pregnant! She noticed I was buying Bounty bars, which was what I did in my previous pregnancy. She was right - I was pregnant.

And with my first, I was working as a social worker and visited a very elderly single retired midwife - as I left, she congratulated me on my pregnancy - I said I was not pregnant - she assured me I was and wished me well - she was right of course.

Coffee tasted awful. I usually mainline coffee so I knew something wasn't right

I couldn't stand the taste of tea and coffee. I hardly drink anything else. Suddenly it was blergh. My mum said she has the same when pregnant. It started really early around 6 weeks hating the taste.

I am afraid both times I had no idea. Both times I took a pg test as we had been trying but I wanted to go to the pub and found out the news that way.

I never got any strange tastes or sore boobs but from about 6-7 weeks did have awful morning sickness which then lasted all the way through.

I was blow drying my hair, sitting on the edge of the bed, naked from the waist up and I thought Oh my nipples look weird. And then…What day is it? And … rapid finger counting followed by a positive result on a test I found down the back of a drawer

I just knew.

I've had pregnancy scares in the past, but I've always had a feeling that the test would be negative. Every time I've actually been pregnant, I knew that the test would be positive. Just had the strongest feeling in my gut that I was pregnant.

I'm also certain I know when each conception was too. I can't prove it, but I genuinely believe I just know.

We had just started trying. I think I was 5 DPO when my nipples started tingling and hurting. I thought I was imagining it because that was so early. 7 DPO I threw up and thought I must be but thought it was too early to take a test, I think I took the test at 10 DPO (so 4 days before my period was due) and I got a really strong positive- was then paranoid it was twins (it wasn’t) but I knew as soon as I was sick that I must be. Anyway the day my period was due the sickness started again and didn’t stop til he was born 😭

Sorry boobs and couldn't bear the smell of the rotisserie chicken at Costco.

I got pregnant days after I had stopped taking the pill after many years, so I wasn't expecting it so fast.
My boss did something that annoyed me so I cried on my way home in the car (which is unusual for me). When I drive to work the next morning, I cried again and then I realized "you never cry so much. Something is off. You might be pregnant" 😊

Wine tasted weird. I sent DH back to the bar with it twice.

We had been trying for ages and had stopped at the pub on our way back from helping at my nephews 4th birthday party. It was chaotic and we were shattered and our conversation revolved around “do we really want this lifestyle, aren’t we happy as we are” 🤣 …. turned out to be twins 🤣🤣

The week before my BFP I was absolutely exhausted, like way more than usual. I was sleeping after work everyday for 2 hours. And peeing. A lot.

A week before AF was due I cried at an ad on FB, then at a video of a man playing the violin. The next day I cried at someone singing on another FB video.
Went to the pub one day and couldn't drink my drink and couldn't smoke. (Wasn't trying to conceive and a total shock!)
Then my boobs were ridiculously sore in different places to normal when I'm due on and I started having dreams I was pregnant.
Tested 5 days before AF due and was positive 😱

Late period. I had no other symptoms at all.

I found out v v early as my boobs were sore and I was soo bloated!

I was really hungry. Not “oh I’m a bit hungry” but “if I don’t eat I will be sick”.
I just couldn’t stop eating salty food.

Boobs tripled in size in days.
