@Emmacb82 amazing, congratulations 🥰 enjoy the newborn bubble with your wee woman.

Clarkey34 · 10/05/2024 18:21

@Emmacb82 Huge congratulations. Enjoy your little new born bubble.

@nh93 we've got little rompers for the day time & at night she is sleeping in a vest and a 1 tog sleeping bag, as our room gets so hot.

Mum2b2024 · 10/05/2024 19:45

Has anyone had an ECV before for a breech baby? (Please don't scare me haha but honest answers as nicely as possible lol)

LondonGirl1992 · 11/05/2024 19:35

How’s everyone holding up in the heat this weekend? Any more signs that babies may be coming soon?! X

Judethepud · 11/05/2024 21:40

@LondonGirl1992 my feet are so swollen, the heat has made them twice the size lol

SarahB88 · 11/05/2024 23:26

Not doing great in the heat, very glad I’m not going to be pregnant over summer!

I lost loads of mucus plug yesterday after my sweep, more again today and had a couple of proper contractions that were quite sore so thought we were go but it’s all stopped again!

Yourowgirl · 12/05/2024 09:38

Congratulations @Emmacb82 !
Sorry I have no experience of ECVs @Mum2b2024
I have had tightenings since yesterday morning and a little bit of mild cramping. I didn't think it was Braxton Hicks because it was regular every hour then increased to every half hour and went on all day but it's not really there today. It wasn't painful at all, but it slightly increased in intensity yesterday evening. Seems pre labour or early labour can feel different for everyone and I still have 2 and a half weeks before due date so no idea if it means anything really. Going to enjoy the last day of sunshine whilst keeping cool and see what happens (if anything!)

Mum2b2024 · 12/05/2024 11:16

What are people's experiences with a planned c section and the recovery as I may need to have one now as found out baby breech still and they have moved or the midwives have been wrong :/ Might try an ECV but so difficult to decide.

PeppedUp · 12/05/2024 15:05

@Mum2b2024 I don’t have any experience with either sorry. I’ve heard generally positive things from people who’ve had planned c-sections but I don’t know anyone who has had an ECV. It’s really hard weighing up birth options for your first because it’s difficult to know what to expect.

Good luck to everyone experiencing early labour signs. Mine have completely died away so I’m not expecting anything imminent now.

Colourfulflowers · 12/05/2024 15:26

Hey all,
We had our beautiful baby girl on the 5th May! She’s absolutely lovely and cuddly, and she’s just slotted into our lives so effortlessly, like she was always meant to be here 💜 I just keep watching her!! 💜

@Mum2b2024 I had a planned CS, our baby was breech too. I don’t have anything to compare it too, but it went really smoothly, the doctors were brilliant and very reassuring throughout. We took our playlist along too which was nice and calming. Later on once the initial pain relief began to wear off I was in quite a bit of pain, but day by day it’s improved a little and I’m feeling better and walking about a bit too. Wishing you all the best with your journey 🌟

@Emmacb82 congratulations to you 🥰

Wishing everyone else lots of positive and happy vibes xxx

Sa11yCinnamon · 12/05/2024 15:45

@Colourfulflowers huge congratulations!! Hope you continue to recover well and have the best time getting to know your wee girl xx

Mum2b2024 · 12/05/2024 19:25

@PeppedUp no worries. Yes very hard when first too! I keep flip flopping between my answers.

@Colourfulflowers congratulations 😊 ah thanks for sharing that's good that all went well. Did u not try an Ecv then? Glad Ur recovery is going ok and hope it continues. Thank you!

Yourowgirl · 13/05/2024 09:31

@Mum2b2024 this episode of Jessie Ware's pregnancy podcast covers ECV (from 12:25) and mentions a website called Spinning Babies https://open.spotify.com/episode/52kdU3FRbRNhoWEhgWacxW?si=LEyXGvgpQ6GhFZjJcFg59A - hope it's helpful.
Looks like my early labour signs over the weekend were just practice!

Mum2b2024 · 13/05/2024 09:43

@Yourowgirl thanks! Yeah I have been trying things off that website all weekend haha so whether will work I dunno as been picked up a bit late I am breech (so been a big shock) but baby isn't too big so gonna give Ecv a go and at least I tried otherwise c section it will be!

Oh no bless u, boo!!

Yourowgirl · 13/05/2024 09:44

Good luck!

Judethepud · 13/05/2024 20:11

Has anyone else had contractions stop and start? This is my first baby and last night and today I have had what feel like contractions (strong period cramps) for 1 - 2 hours every 6 minutes but then they stop and I'm back to normal 🙈 39+2 today so still some time but I keep thinking it's happening!

SarahB88 · 13/05/2024 20:27

@Judethepud I’ve been getting this intermittently for weeks 😩 midwife seemed to think it could have been my cervix dilated given I’d already dilated a bit at my sweep last week. I’m 39+1 so almost the same as you!

I have been utterly ravenous today. I would love for that to be a sign that labour is coming but I suspect I’m just being a piggy now I’ve got loads of room in my tummy again after baby being so low 🙈

Judethepud · 13/05/2024 20:47

@SarahB88 so annoying! Although I hope it's doing something positive for us both :)

I'm the same, loving being able to eat full meals the last week without feeling really sick or having to down a bottle of gaviscon after lol

SarahB88 · 13/05/2024 20:54

@Judethepud I thought we were all set to get going over the weekend but it all stopped again! I reckon my cervix must have been dilating again. The midwife is hoping I’ll be closer to 3cm when I see her on Thursday so here’s hoping. I mean ideally I go myself before then but I’m absolutely up for another sweep as the first one was ok.

I’m still on omeprazole and gaviscon, I’m too scared to stop now 🙈😂

LondonGirl1992 · 13/05/2024 21:18

Has anyone here had a c section before? If so please send over any advice/tips/positive stories!

Irishmamatobe24 · 13/05/2024 21:19

Congratulations to all who have had their babies 🎊 I'm 40 weeks today and had a check up, midwife did an exam and I'm 0cm dilated 😢 feeling a bit deflated as I really thought things have been moving over the last few days. We've agreeed to a sweep in 7 days and then induction in 10 days if nothing. Anyone have similar experiences, where they weren't dilated at full term but didn't end up needing induction?

Mum2b2024 · 13/05/2024 21:26

@LondonGirl1992 when is yours? Yes I would love to know this too please! As the Ecv didn't work and wasn't v nice 😔 so will be having an elective c section next week too!

LondonGirl1992 · 13/05/2024 21:31
