@junebuglb goodluck sending you lots of hugs and prayers for your birth, hope it all goes well and baby is healthy & thriving! take lots of rest 💕

junebuglb · 20/04/2024 02:45

Baby girl is here safe and sound, she arrived around 6.30pm yesterday afternoon via a chilled and beautiful c-section. 💕

She is a tiny tiny tot at 4lb4oz so is having some extra bedside care to keep an eye on her sugars (no nicu needed- go baby!) and she is eating like a champ so far. We’ve had lots of cuddles and she’s been snoozing away.

As someone whose original birth plan went totally tits up, I just wanted to reassure everyone that it truly doesn’t matter in the end how these gorgeous babies arrive, it’s all magical and so worth it in the end.

About to try getting up post section shortly, wish me luck guys. Sending the best of vibes to you all over the next few weeks 💪💕

Thanks everyone, yesterday was a little tough as she has needed some extra support in the nicu but she is doing well down there and we are getting the hang of things. It’s hard but she’s brilliant. Just wanted to introduce her and say we are doing ok; hope we can stay in the May group can’t wait to meet your little ones soon. x

PeppedUp · 21/04/2024 18:43

@junebuglb that must be such a mix of emotions having her here but also in NICU - I hope she can come out soon - she looks like a healthy wee baby in the pic. Of course you are welcome to stay in the May group - I wouldn’t be surprised if there are some other April babies in here by the end of the month and maybe later some June babies too 🙂

Yourowgirl · 21/04/2024 20:09

Congratulations @junebuglb on your beautiful baby! Thank you for telling us about your birth experience, it's really encouraging. I hope little one continues to do well and you all get to go home soon and start the next chapter. I also hope your recovery is straightforward.

Also all the best @Clarkey34, they have kept you on your toes haven't they?!

Colourfulflowers · 21/04/2024 22:50

Congratulations @junebuglb 🥰🥰 lovely you are having your cuddles now! Thanks for sharing your experience 💐

SarahB88 · 22/04/2024 11:11

Anyone else in their last week of work? I finish on Friday! This is also the last Monday I’ll be working in a really long time as I’ll just be going back 5 days. I love my job and the people I work with, it doesn’t really feel quite real yet!

ClrDvs · 22/04/2024 14:15

Congratulations @junebuglb !

Toda11 · 22/04/2024 14:32

Congrats! Great to see the first baby from this thread!

Judethepud · 22/04/2024 21:24

It's my last week too @SarahB88!! I love my job and my team too, feels so weird to be finishing up and I'm going to miss it but also so excited and ready to finish up to focus on preparing for the baby and resting.

Clarkey34 · 23/04/2024 03:02

Hello, just to update you all, our little lady made an early arrival into the world on Sunday. Mum & baby are doing ok. X

PeppedUp · 23/04/2024 07:58

@Clarkey34 congratulations! ❤️🎉

PeppedUp · 23/04/2024 08:02

Is anyone else experiencing cramps? I got quite a painful cramp that lasted about 15 minutes yesterday evening. I’ve since felt a continuous mild cramp ie it’s not contractions because it doesn’t come and go. Baby has been kicking last night and this morning.

SarahB88 · 23/04/2024 08:32

Aw congratulations @Clarkey34 !

@PeppedUp I’ve been cramping on and off for about a week now and having a terrible time on the toilet. I’m hoping that means that labour might be near. Good luck! I’ve got a midwife appointment on Thursday so will see if she’s engaged yet.

My friend at work who covers the other half of my job has announced that she’s pregnant and it’s so exciting but it now means we are both off on maternity at the same time as I’ll still be off when she starts 🙈 I’ve been joking that will happen so actually apologised to my boss for jinxing it 😂 seems to be baby fever at the moment.

Emmacb82 · 23/04/2024 09:13

Congratulations @Clarkey34 hope you are both doing well.
No signs of anything happening here yet but to be fair with my second I just went into labour very suddenly out of nowhere so I’m not venturing too far these days. Have started iron tablets this week as my iron has been low since 28 weeks and despite me saying this is normal for me in pregnancy and I may need iron my results were missed so I’ve been struggling with overwhelming tiredness for weeks and blaming it on nights and the other children! Hoping I might feel better soon but it’s all a bit late really 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sa11yCinnamon · 23/04/2024 09:30

Huge congratulations @Clarkey34, hope you're both doing well!

@PeppedUp I'm also having cramps and generally feeling loads more uncomfortable, I'm also hoping it means things might start happening soon... was at my pregnancy yoga class last night where two girls are ten days overdue and I REALLY don't want that to be me!
