I absolutely have to have a section due to how they had to do my emergency one with DD. So if I go in to labour it will be full on emergency section.
Im having growth scans and they are monitoring my placenta and also I have heartbeat monitoring once a week.

Thank you all! Yes I know you’re right about going with the flow, I’m just not sure I’m good at it. Having an idea of what might be possible helps me stay calm but I know ultimately, there will be a lot of things I just can’t control when the time comes and my priority is just a safe and healthy delivery and for baby to be ok x

I am really set on an epidural - I'll be so upset if I don't make it in time but I know it can be out of my hands.

I'm in a student midwife program so she comes to all of my appointments and will be at the birth if she can (she is getting married end of Jan so chance to miss!)
she's lovely and checks in with me regularly.

Is anyone else starting to struggle when it comes to bending down?
I'm starting to struggle even loading/unloading the washing machine without getting achy 🙈

I find I’m very stiff if I don’t move enough within a half hour period. Yoga has been wonderful at stretching out any aches. I just do gentle 20 minute prenatal classes.

@redxlondon there's no proper classes near me, do you do yours online? I'm keen to give yoga a try just to keep on top of any aches

I have my GD test tomorrow and really dreading the fasting 🙈 I'm always starving when I wake in the morning 🤣

As of today I'm officially in the single digit weeks countdown! 9weeks 6 days left until due date, I honestly can't believe how fast the time is flying past.

I feel like I really need to start getting things prepared now so have written a list of everything we still need to buy.

In other news, MIL is driving me mad with her constant 'advice' which is basically warning me not to do anything at all, in her mind I should practically be on bed rest. I've told her I'm planning on staying as active as I can for as long as I can and I could tell she wasn't impressed I was ignoring her advice.

I'm sick of being told to be careful and that I can't do this or that.
I respond with I'm pregnant not disabled. Soon shuts her up until the next thing I do which worries her 😂

Our basinet arrived today and it really hit me that there's only two months until February when our babies come out of our big bellies and into their little sleep suits.

I'm starting to feel more anxiety now than what I did at the start. I just keep thinking now I have 11 weeks left to go somethings gonna go wrong 🙈

I totally understand this, I think it’s really natural to feel this way too. But just focus on the stats, every day further is higher and higher chance all will be well.

@msp2023 i know it sounds really strange but I’m really scared for my belly button to pop out 😅 idk why I’ve always been weird about belly buttons it makes me feel funny thinking about it 🙈😅😅

whenever I go for a wee I feel like I leak for a while after.
If I haven’t been for a wee for a while it stops but then as soon as I go to the loo it happens again!

I've got the exact same thing, it's been especially bad since yesterday, I end up going back and doing another wipe, it's really uncomfortable!

My body has now decided to give me a hard time. In the last 3 days I've developed extremely dry skin on my hands nearly to the point of cracking, been suffering horrible constipation and have now topped it off with the arrival of a cold sore. Does anyone else feel really run down?

I got a cold sore today and very dry hands too no matter how much cream I use. It’s just the weather unfortunately, I get this every year when it changes temp so much.

What are we all wearing christmas day? I feel like I need something nice-ish but don’t want to be too dressy

@Nemo145 yes 🙋🏻‍♀️ all the time 😅 and I need to wee all the time even when I go and barely anything comes out. I went for a scan the other week, went to the toilet just before the scan, went in she was scanning me and was like oh you have a full bladder. How?!? 😅😅😅
