Ahh thanks so much!! Thread 6 - babies are gonna start rolling in thick & fast now 😅🤍

Psqueak87 · 22/10/2023 20:03

Thank you! On my way to accupuncture again to see if they can poke this baby out!

JD90 · 22/10/2023 20:08

Definitely feels like this is going to be the baby thread now!

GreenAventurine · 22/10/2023 20:12

Thank you for the new post. This is THE baby one 🥹😆

Oreopie · 22/10/2023 20:13

Day 2 of induction for me. Hope things move soon ❤️

Thack · 22/10/2023 20:16

I'll kick us off, babyThack arrived this morning following an induction at 37+5.
I'm not sure of the birth centile, but from 3% on scans baby weighed 5lb6oz. All healthy and well. True for us about second baby being much faster!

Spareincoming · 22/10/2023 20:17

Well now, funny you should say that…
I had our little one in the wee small hours of yesterday; we’ve been home for a few hours now.
I won’t say too much about the baby other than they’re tiny and as perfect as we could have hoped. And the family is now complete.
The expected medical issue is there but not in the severity it could have been.

I had an emergency ish section after my blood pressure went haywire on Thursday evening and we gave it 24 hours to try and get resolved, by Friday evening the decision was made, I was transferred to the larger hospital where my consultant actually came from home and baby arrived minutes after midnight.

The section was blissful, despite the circumstance there was no hurries or stresses by the team. Lovely.

I am exhausted and in a lot of pain post section. The usual drugs aren’t helping so waiting on a doctor calling to try and solve this one!

Congratulations @Spareincoming
Glad to hear it's not on the bad end of the scale. Hope you get plenty of rest. I guess you are in the hospital still?

JD90 · 22/10/2023 20:22

@Spareincoming @Thack OMG! Congratulations to both of you! So pleased to hear all is well as can be! Hope you all manage to get settled at home quickly 💗

GreenAventurine · 22/10/2023 20:24

@Thack @Spareincoming what lovely news!

Spareincoming · 22/10/2023 20:25

@Thack congratulations to you too! Does it seem quite real yet?

I’m at home; they wanted me out… umpteenth time around the block, I was of little interest to the masses of students there was on the postnatal unit wards! I’m sure they wanted my bay for someone more interesting!

Congratulations @Thack and @Spareincoming ❤️

Katiec1 · 22/10/2023 20:37

@Thack @Spareincoming 🤩🤩 congrats to you both on your amazing news!
hoping mums and babies are doing ok!
Also thank you for the new thread!

reememberly · 22/10/2023 20:54

Thanks for the new thread and huge congratulations @Spareincoming - hope your pain is under control soon.

Congratulations @Thack too! Hope you’re recovering ok.

Hope it’s not too much longer for you @Oreopie

Think it was @GreenAventurine asking about section nerves on the last thread - sounds like I’m the only one feeling anxious about it! I have had one before but that’s not helping because I got unlucky and had a difficult recovery with a stubborn infection. Think it was an unusual experience though so really hoping it’s more straightforward this time. I also had a different op which should’ve been minor turn into an emergency last year with a massive haemorrhage, so I have that worry as well. Hoping I’m due some better luck, but just keen to get it over with now.

reememberly · 22/10/2023 21:04

Oh and @GemmaJen - sorry to hear Thorne’s needing a bit more support but hopefully short lived as you say. Appreciate the section recovery tips!

Crazybrowncow · 22/10/2023 21:23

Congratulations @Thack & @Spareincoming amazing news!

Sb86 · 22/10/2023 21:51

Oh wow, congratulations to @Thack and @Spareincoming on your babies ❤️ it seems bizarre we are now at this point!!

@Oreopie good luck, hopefully you'll have your baby in your arms before long!

@Gemmajen hope Thorne gets the all clear ASAP and you're both back home enjoying all the cuddles 🥰

Mrsrobinsonx · 22/10/2023 22:01

Congratulations @Thack @Spareincoming 🥰
how exciting there’s babies already and still 10 days until November! 😁

Spareincoming · 22/10/2023 22:02

How’s it going @Gemmajen? Hope you’re being kept comfortable too.

I’ve been sent home with blood thinner injections again; it’s hit and miss as to if they give them to me; 50% of my deliveries have been accompanied by 12 days of jabs, 50% without. I need to get some skin numbing gel on Amazon prime as I can’t manage it otherwise and my DH is awful at doing them; he forgets I’m not one of his farm animals.

Just place marking. Welcome to the world new babies 😁

Psqueak87 · 22/10/2023 22:29

@Spareincoming @Thack
huge congratulations guys!
so happy for you! Hope the recovery is quick and babies are doing well!

the accupuncturist jabbed me up pretty good today so I’m off for my second to last midnight shift before maternity leave and hoping it does it’s job so I can toodleloo right out of there! But I still have a feeling this’ll be going till 41 weeks at least 🥴

foodislife1 · 22/10/2023 22:31

Congrats on the babies!!

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 22/10/2023 23:16

Congratulations on all the babies starting to arrive 😍

I'm not due until 28th November so I'm not even 35 weeks quite yet!

My 'urgent' growth scan is yet to appear almost a week later. Luckily I'm not too concerned as baby is moving really well but still crap. Starting to get rather uncomfortable though 😂

Bookworm12345 · 23/10/2023 01:38

Congratulations to you both @Spareincoming and @Thack!

reememberly · 23/10/2023 02:31

@Spareincoming would you mind to share the link to the skin numbing cream you use please? Also found those injections a bit hard going last time, but never thought of this to help.
