Got lots of lovely supportive friends in other parts of the country, but would be great to get to know some other women in the same boat here. Anyone?

Hey, I'm Bristol based 👋

Just reached 12 weeks with my first. How about you?

whiteroseredrose · 15/10/2023 21:28

We met lovely people through NCT in Bristol. Could you try that?

Dorotheaflood7 · 16/10/2023 17:05

I’m pregnant and in Bristol! Am 22 weeks 😊 x

Bristolnewcomer · 17/10/2023 17:10

Hello! Sorry I thought no-one had replied to this! Yes I've signed up to NCT classes but they don't start for a while.

Congratulations @ForgetMeNots24 @Dorotheaflood7 - I'm nearly 29 weeks with my first one too. How are you both doing?

LeopardLover · 17/10/2023 22:13

Congratulations! I'm in Bristol too! 20 weeks with my second 🥰

Which hospital has everyone opted for?

nobleisle · 18/10/2023 12:40

@LeopardLover I remember you from a conception board! I've changed name loads i can't remember what it would be! what a small world! I'm going to Southmead, went there with my first too. St Michaels was closer but that hill! No thanks. Where are you going?

Lucielu30 · 18/10/2023 13:09

Hi! I'm Bristol too and 23 weeks with my second :)

bracemyselfagain · 18/10/2023 15:27

Bristol here too!

24w with number 2 ... Southmead for me again.

LeopardLover · 18/10/2023 20:15

@nobleisle Oh no way! 🥰 Ah yes, geez. I had lots of scans at St Michael's (early pregnancy unit) & the hill nearly finished me off.

Nice to see so many Bristol mums! I'm also heading to Southmead again, despite At Michael's being closer. Had a good experience last time (ish... Had a covid baby!)

preggo39 · 18/10/2023 21:08

I'm in Bristol too! 18 weeks on Friday with my first (after a long old slog and IVF). I've gone for St Michael's and had to walk up that bastard hill the other day. From now on I'll be taking the car each and every time.

Nov2023 · 18/10/2023 21:34

Southmead for me too! First baby but feeling very well cared for so far

Bristolnewcomer · 19/10/2023 10:39

I'm renting near Whiteladies Road at the moment (definitely interested in tips for where in the city is nice to live, somewhere more affordable!!) so going to St Michael's. You're not wrong about that hill though phew.

@Bristolnewcomer brilliant location. I used to go to baby cinema at the every man every Tuesday... i think it's on a Thursday now though. £10 for coffee, cake and a film! Was the highlight of my week. Maybe we can all have a meet up there!

I didn't know about this and I'm keen!

LeopardLover · 22/10/2023 11:42

I never got to experience baby cinema last time so definitely keen! 😊

Dorotheaflood7 · 22/10/2023 11:47

Sorry I hadn’t replied earlier - have had covid - wah! not nice when pregnant.

I seem to be on the up now though. Didn’t expect sneezing could be so painful, I guess the stomach muscles are already working so hard!

I’m 23 weeks & in southville 😊

I know what you all mean about that hill to St Michael’s !

Lucielu30 · 22/10/2023 13:19

I used to rent there too, on Apsley road! We moved to Brislington just before having our first and I couldn't recommend it more highly for a great place to start a family. I've made so many new friends in the past 3 years through all the local groups. There are so many cafes, parks locally all very baby friendly!

Lucielu30 · 22/10/2023 13:21

Ps Every time I have to walk up that bloody hill for an appointment, I think what genius decided a great place for a maternity hospital would be right at the top?!?

Bristolnewcomer · 22/10/2023 19:54

That sounds lovely! I can’t see that they do a baby club anymore but I can pop in and ask.

it’s nice to hear there are some more of you around! When’s everyone’s due dates? x
