Pregnant in Bristol?

Got lots of lovely supportive friends in other parts of the country, but would be great to get to know some other women in the same boat here. Anyone?

Hey Bristol gang! Had my baby 4 weeks ago tomorrow and to my absolute shock I had a girl!!! I couldn't believe it! I've just started driving again today which is nice! Also went to baby cinema last week which was a lovely blast from the past!

Hi all! We have found a place in Westbury on Trym for our year in Bristol. I was just wondering if this is a good area and if any of you are close by? Also keen to know if there are any mums and bubs clubs nearby and any nanny recommendations for when I return to work?

Hi @BristolExpat24 ! I am in WoT / Henleaze and its a lovely area. I'm not due until August so don't know much yet about baby clubs but definitely interested to find some! I know theres a gymboree group at the RAFA club that looks quite fun and the goldfinch cafe in WoT
Village seems nice too. I plan to go to crossfit (they run a session for parents and babies) but I think that's more for me than the baby!!!! Happy to answer any other area questions that are less baby specific and I might actually know the answer to :)

WOT is lovely! Definitely sign up to Gymboree, Polly is the most loveliest woman and amazing with kids they all adore her.
@hennie222 we will deff run into each other, I'm starting cross fit in July, I'm at gymbo and goldfinch multiple times a week 😂

@pambeesleyhalpert I'm excited for you starting crossfit...I love it so much haha. I'm still going at the moment (albeit gently) and hoping I won't need to take too long off after giving birth but we shall see!

Do you go to the trym or henleaze one? I'm starting on the 1st July I'm so nervous I'm so unfit! Well done for still going! 👏

Both. Usually Henleaze but it depends on my schedule etc. The coaches cross over between both and everyone is lovely. Feel free to ping me any questions you have!

Are all of your babies born now? I'm 20 weeks and based in Bristol and also don't know many people here, so would love to meet other mums to be.

Are you giving birth in St Michael's or Southmead? We've so far gone for St. M because of proximity but can't tell if there's much in it between them!
