Due May 2024?

I'm currently 11dpo. Had a two faint positives yesterday followed by a positive clear blue this morning. This will hopefully be my second pregnancy due around 14th May by dates. Just wondered if anybody wanted to share the journey, symptoms and advice 🥰

@ttcthoughts how many weeks/days are you, according to my app I am 5 weeks 1 day but unsure if that's accurate x

@TTCbaby2x Im now 5 weeks 3 days :) Its only gone down in the last few days and nausea has ramped up

@ttcthoughts I can sense my nausea is going to hit soon, keep having waves of it but this morning it seems stronger... 👀

@TTCbaby2x Same, I honestly dont know how I am going to hide it from the office now either,

@ttcthoughts I have had to tell my manager as I've been booked in to see the midwife in a couple of weeks in my working hours so wanted to just get it out the way and him be aware... my sister didn't tell her work until she was 12 weeks so I do know people hold off but it all depends on how your feeling/what your comfortable with

@TTCbaby2x I have a scan next tuesday in work time too, I wont say anything to work though I dont think. Im hoping to keep it as long as possible that I wont have to tell anyone. last time I had to tell my boss at 7 weeks,

@ttcthoughts keep us posted on how your scan goes! Mine is booked for next Friday so will be 6+2, I'm so nervous for it, just hope I'm not too early and everything goes ok...

@TTCbaby2x I will do, Thank you, im so nervous for it, but I am happy we have got so far currently, My tests are coming back sooo strong too!

@frankie15 in the same boat as you, not feelings by symptoms now (had cramps at start) and had previous MC so TRYING to relax but finding it hard to believe….. x

Welcome @Riverofhope. My EDD is very close to yours, I think it's around 18th May. Still feels so early but darkening lines so 🙏🙏

Hope you don't mind throwing my hat into the ring here too. I'm 34 and this is my first cycle ever TTC. I got my kyleena coil taken out on 31 July and tracked my LH up to ovulation on around 26/27 Aug. I genuinely didn't think it would happen this quick as I expected my cycle to take a few months to get back to normal. I took my first pregnancy test on Tuesday 8dpo and had a VERY faint positive using the boots test strips.

Since them I've become obsessed with testing HCG and even LH - most coming back fairly positive with the line getting every so slightly darker (but still very faint) and some not at all (the cheapy poundland ones)

I'm a pretty rational and logical person in my day to day life and I know if I was speaking to a friend I would tell her to relax and test again in a few days. But I just can't stop. I'm also SUPER aware of all my symptoms having cramps on my lower left side only (since 8DPO to today 11DPO) and panicking that it would be ectopic because surely the cramping should be central?

I have not told anyone about this, not even my partner because I want to surprise him tomorrow night when we go out with a digital test.

@Rojak89 Congratulations! Blessed you fell pregnant so quickly 😊. I’m with you on the obsessed with testing - I’m DPO14 today do a couple of days ahead. All of my lines were faint at the start, I’ll share a pic below.
I also hace had a dull ache just on my left side as well as cramping and thought the same too about ectopic. Mine has lessened the last day so I’m not so worried now - I’ve heard ectopic can be extremely painful. Have you noticed it getting any worse at all? X

@MacNut Thank you! You’ve just taught me what EDD means too 😂 so many terms to learn. I’m hoping all goes well and I am early on the 18th May - my husbands birthday ha! Is this your first pregnancy?

@Riverofhope Thank you and congratulations to you too! I'm so new to all this that I feel like I'm going crazy.
The cramping has started to ease thankfully but today I've started feeling very nauseous... if it's not one thing it's another!

I'm so grateful that there are message boards like this to speak to people on the same journey. I'll add a pic of my test progressions - different brands giving different results so I'm thinking I should just stick to the one brand?

@Rojak89 I have been sticking to the same brand so that I can compare, I’ve heard some have different amounts of dye in etc. so maybe try that. They probably detect different levels too. The ones I’ve used are 10, most of the early tests are 20 lowest hcg.

I would take the nausea as a good sign, I think it’s a result of the hcg 🙏🏼

@Riverofhope I'm going to take your advice on board and stick to one brand once I use that last of the other brands. I do have a clear blue digital which I want to do tomorrow. It will feel more real to have the word 'Pregnant' flashing in my face (fingers crossed it does)
It's weird to be happy to be queasy - but I'm taking it as a good sign!

Is anyone else getting lower back pains?

So quick update from me. As I mentioned last week, the bleeding became slightly heavier, not as heavy as normal period but not just spotting.
Yesterday I did another pregnancy test (well 3..) and they are all still positive a week on from the bleeding starting but also the line is darker.
I am so confused now and I realise the likelihood is that I have had an early miscarriage but I just want to know for definite to be able to draw a line under it.
I phoned the EPU today who basically just told me it's probably a miscarriage and to test again in 10 days to confirm it is negative.

@ErrolFinn Sorry to hear about what you’re going through at the moment. That line is very dark - what DPO are you? That’s not very good from EPU! They should get you in for a scan and or blood test x

@Riverofhope I'm not 100% sure but I think around 16 dpo. I'm now getting paranoid it's an ectopic pregnancy but the women on the phone at the EPU said she didn't think so but if I had any further signs to get in touch otherwise I didn't need to contact them again... It's just not nice not knowing for definite and clinging to that little bit of hope, however unrealistic.

Hello everyone

I got my positive digital today 1-2 weeks. This was cycle 8, after having an early loss at start of the year. Was beginning to lose hope! I am quite scared about another loss. I can see lots of you have been through that heartache before (and then some) so hoping we can keep eachother going.

No symptoms over here really. I think I won’t ring for a midwife or early scan until I’ve officially missed my period (Sunday).

Due date will be 19 May if I have my dates right :)

@ErrolFinn That is very confusing and I wouldn’t accept EPU saying it’s ‘probably a miscarriage’. That’s awful. If convenient could you take yourself to A&E tomorrow and ask to be seen (I say tomorrow because too late in the day to get scans etc now).
You need checking properly and say you’re concerned it’s ectopic which is life threatening (lay it on thick but unless you have pain abdominal/shoulder tip it probably isn’t). They need to do a blood test and monitor your HCG & progesterone levels. If your progesterone is a bit low or drops demand they give you Cyclogest. It is known to help you hold on to a pregnancy.

Your line looks very strong still… did you test yesterday and how does it compare? I have had previous MCs and at this early on HCG drops quickly. Mine went back to 0 within 3 days of bleeding.
