Hi all I’m so new to this.
im 43 and fell pregnant after trying for 3 months, this will be my 3rd. (2 teenagers)
I tested faint positive on 3rd just, the tests got very dark this week.
took myself off for a early internal scan yesterday as I have had brown discharge and some period like cramping and scared to hell of ectopic.
I was told there is a sac in the right place but no yolk or fetus. My sac measured 10mm which they said was 5 week.
im still having sore boobies, the worst back pain and sickness/headaches has just started yesterday.
really just after some reassurance as this 10 day wait is going to be so painful.
thanks in advance 💜💙

I had EWCM for the first time since the miscarriage so I am hoping it’s a sign… it was only for one day but it’s something… I don’t know how much more of this disappointment I can take, especially when I see everyone all around me getting pregnant with next to no stress! X

Wen19 · 09/11/2023 11:37

@Ems1992 i know what you mean! There are so many people I know now pregnant. 😢 it’s so cruel.

@Wen19 @Ems1992 hello ladies how are you both? I'm ok, got a bfp this month, currently around 4 weeks, feeling incredibly lucky/incredibly anxious also. Really hope you're both well ❤️

Ems1992 · 14/12/2023 11:31

Oh my goodness congratulations!!
we are still trying… Just ovulated yesterday so… Hopeful for the TWW!!! Hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy xxx

Hello lovely ladies….
i have some news

Ahhh congratulations lovely, delighted for you! August? I've got a scan on Sunday at 10.30. Terrified but keeping all crossed for a better outcome x

Ems1992 · 30/12/2023 08:01

Yes August! Well, 30th… if we make it I will opt for an elective due to past labour experience! So would be earlier. It’s my birthday the 22ns August so that would be a nice present. I can’t get excited yet… I’ve done thousands of tests but the lines just aren’t super dark for 15DPO… I’m really nervous!!!! Good luck for your scan ❤️

I'll be 19th due date I think but have had 2 previous sections and gestational diabetes so am guessing earlier in month if all ok. Thanks, am in two minds about having it tbh, I almost don't want to know if anything is wrong again x

Marchbug · 31/12/2023 11:14

Just been to scan, very blessed to say saw little blob at 6+5 with a flickering heartbeat ❤️

Ems1992 · 31/12/2023 13:53

Hello!
Thought I’d update the OG’s…
After a chemical in December, I’m now 5+3… What a rollercoaster. Chemical is out of the question now, just praying for no more drama and we make it to 12 weeks with no problems!!!! Xxx

Marchbug · 06/02/2024 15:19

Huge congratulations! Wishing you a healthy pregnancy with only positive news! I've just actually had my 12 week scan today, nervously awaiting screening results as am over 40 but all looked well. @Wen19 hope you're doing good ❤️

Ems1992 · 06/02/2024 15:24

Ahhhh such brilliant news!!
so happy for you :) xx

Hi Ladies, just wondered how you was all doing? I'm back in a same situation as i started this thread.

I had a scan on 7th I was 5week4 (reassurance scan as i am under the multiple miscarriage clinic.... I've had 4 chemicals since this post.) They only saw a gestational sac and a yolk (which they didn't see before from my first post)
They said this was normal and i have to go back on 23rd for another scan.
I am absolutely s*ing myself!

No back ache this time no cramps other than mild ones, the smallest bit of brown discharge here and there but only a smidge.

pregnancy symptoms' the same, sore nipples, nausea, fatigue and mad dreams.

Hello lovely!
oh I hope good news is around the corner for you. I’m so sorry you’ve experienced this repeatedly! I can’t imagine how hard it is for you.
I now have a 10 week old little boy!

Oh my god!!!! that's such good news!!! 😃
How was your pregnancy?
Im so scared again.

I know this is different as they have seen a yolk and they never did before.

Yeah chemical after chemical all year basically, never got to 5 week with them all.

Ems1992 · 19/12/2024 16:28

Thanks!
My pregnancy was quite difficult, I had terrible pelvic girdle pain, and couldn’t walk at the end! Had to have physio from about week 22.
This pregnancy was the fourth attempt for my husband and I, and I had no bleed, no scares… Nothing! Which I am very thankful for as I’m not sure I could have managed it.
The yolk sac is definitely a great sign! I never saw these in my previous pregnancies either!
I really hope this one sticks for you!

Hey ladies, new to this thread.

@Ems1992 congratulations!! Pleased you got your bundle of joy after some trying times and negative experiences.

@Wen19 I am in a similar position to your original post too. I had an early scan under EPU for brown spotting and one sided pain on Sunday just gone. I had my dates certain that I was 5+1 as my ovulation was confirmed via ultrasound this cycle (I think you have to allow a day or two either side for implantation though) but I got a positive test 11DPO, hadn’t tested prior but it wasn’t a squinter so I think would have shown at 10DPO.

So, as the scan went they can see a gestational sac but it is tiny - 5mm so not measuring to the 5+1 more likely 4+3 but didn’t want to say a date as it was too small just repeated “very early pregnancy”. They think there was potentially a tiny yolk sac visible but couldn’t be sure due to the size of everything. I’m being rescanned on Xmas Eve which I can’t really bare the thought of tbh as it will ruin my entire Christmas if it’s bad news and I haven’t even told family so will have to try keep up normal appearances.

I just wanted to say I’m sorry you find yourself in this situation, I understand how stressful it is and how awful it feels especially this time of year.

Hi,

Xnmas eve :( I know we are same with ours being on 23rd. I don't know how to save face if anything's wrong and we have family all round.

Im so sorry you are also in the situation. and sending lots of love.

The first time this happened to me was worse. i knew i was around 6 weeks and they only saw a ges sac measuring 10mm, no yolk or anything. I accepted that wasn't going to be a nice outcome but the symptoms continued.

Do you have many symptoms now? and how are you feeling in general? xx

I know, I honestly feel even more anxious because I have no idea how I’m going to deal with Xmas day with everyone acting normal when I will be falling apart inside. When I got my positive test on 4th December I was thinking of announcing to family at Christmas and now I’m going through this instead 😭

I’m sorry you’re going through it too, and again for that matter.

I knew I was 5 weeks too, so I just don’t think it’s gonna be good news if the sac is so behind as I don’t think realistically it can catch up, but also feel myself still holding onto some hope which I kind of wish I wasn’t. But the dr didn’t listen to me, just said I’m probably earlier than I thought.

I do have some symptoms yeah, but as I’m only heading towards 6 weeks they aren’t too intense. Sore boobs, bloating and headaches with the odd bit of nausea thrown in. My tests are still so dark too, but reading this thread made me realise holding onto that is pointless 💔

yeah :( last year when i did this thread these ladies helped me so much to have a balance between hope and reality. I started to look forward to my next ovulation.
My sonographer this time was a very cold lady, she seemed almost put out by my presence, i really hope i get a different one this time. I think it makes a massive difference how the EPU treat you.
Keep me updated on how you are. ill post my results on here too. I like to keep this updated for women who are going thru it, i know i spend hours scrolling thread and it annoys me when there's no outcome. xx
