@FlyingHighFlyingLow I did it online 111 and at the end it said “SEE GP TODAY” and then there was a link underneath saying other services that could help and gave me 2 24 hour numbers. One was an EPU and one was midwifery triage, but it could depend on your area.

Mrsrobinsonx · 09/04/2023 21:20

Ahh I’ve had more pink when I wiped today, feel like it’s getting worse rather than better. Also some stomach cramps etc
I’ve had to speak to epau again and they are going to re scan me and make sure everything is still ok, I’m so nervous. Even more than last time, feel sick 🥲

MeganC104 · 09/04/2023 21:29

@JD90 hope you feel better soon. I've got another bug. This is my third whilst pregnant. I had sinus infection after bfp, horrible cold and cough 2 weeks later and now another cold. I've never been ill this frequently before so I think pregnancy is destroying my immunity. My nausea is bad too so if I'm not sneezing and cough I'm retching 😩

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 09/04/2023 23:08

@BabyBabyBaby123 it said I needed to have a callback within 2 hours from OOH triage but still nothing bar the text saying they're too busy. I have visions they'll finally call when I finally manage to sleep 🤷‍♀️ if I miss the calls I have to start the whole process again. Looks like I'm waiting until I can speak to my doctors on Tuesday. EPU here doesn't take self referalls, only GP/A&E or other health care professional.

Fingers crossed all goes well for you @Mrsrobinsonx and feel better soon @MeganC104 !

vix_85 · 10/04/2023 10:26

I hope everyone has managed to enjoy the long Bank Holiday weekend. The nausea is really gearing up for me now, and a full plate roast yesterday made for a very queezy afternoon. I also am totally off sweet things so no easter eggs this year! Anyone else starting to be put off foods?x

Gingerbreadmama · 10/04/2023 10:48

@vix_85 im 10 weeks and since about week 6, every day has been different for me, in regards to what food I like and don't like anymore 😂 sometimes I have 5 different drinks out because none are "right" for me. I've started dry heaving this weekend, just randomly gag, I don't feel sick, but I'm doing it that much, it's actually starting to make me be sick 🙄 today it's apparent I don't like dry foods!

Fairylight102 · 10/04/2023 10:49

@vix_85 I’ve completely gone off tea and coffee so that’s a big change for me.

Living off very plain food right now like toast, mashed potato, chicken nuggets because I’m so nauseous. I managed a bit of homemade soup yesterday and felt ridiculously proud of myself that is managed something with vegetables in it.

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 10/04/2023 11:23

I got a call back from 111 at 5:30 am and now have cyclizine to try. They also told me I need to be seen by EPAU, but said they couldn't refer me (EPAU says lie). So now I have to either go to A&E on bank holiday monday or hope my GP are useful tomorrow. Neither is a great option!

LittleBeanie · 10/04/2023 12:02

8+3 weeks today and I feel so sick. I have had low level nausea and some food aversion for the past couple of weeks, but it really kicked up a notch today. I had such a fun day planned with a toddler birthday party for my daughter’s friend and a family Easter egg hunt and dinner later. Unfortunately when I tried sitting up this morning I was sick for the first time, and now feel horrendous. In bed and trying to nibble dry Cheerios and breadsticks to get something in me… While my husband is out enjoying a fun day with our toddler ☹️

I had pretty much zero symptoms with my last miscarriage so said at the start of this pregnancy I wouldn’t complain about any symptoms if it meant a healthy baby at the end of this. Feeling ready to take this bold statement back!!

TAW2502 · 10/04/2023 12:22

@vix_85 I am also off sweet things! And I normally have such a sweet tooth!!
I also can't do tea or coffee, or anything milky at all! The plainer the better - buttered toast, ready salted crisps etc 😂

Chellooo · 10/04/2023 12:32

My nausea seems to.be winding down hopefully! Tho I say this and 20 mins later am wretching! I did however manage to eat some of a roast yesterday and woke up this morning and cannot get the idea of bacon out of my mind, so safe to say this little one is a bit of a carnivore! Might attempt a bacon roll, the heartburn I will deal with later 😂

TMI2000 · 10/04/2023 12:56

7+6 today and this was d-day for me last time so just trying to get through the day. Struggling with over analysing every symptoms and having a low of lower abdomen ache and reaches around to my back so pretty worried! Symptoms don’t seem as bad but I’ve said that before, private scan booked on Sunday!

JD90 · 10/04/2023 13:55

I feel a little bit nauseous but not overwhelming at the moment, though I do have occasional moments where it's pretty all consuming. Mostly it's the covid that's kicking my ass today, hopefully it doesn't hang around too long... 5th times a charm I guess 🤦🏻‍♀️🤢

KellyJean · 10/04/2023 17:02

Wondering if this is an older mom thing or if its a second child thing, but when I tell people Im pregnant most often they dont say congratulations or express happiness for me - they get a look of surprise and then usually say something awkward like OH BOY or OH MAN. WTF? The only polite thing to say after someone tells you this is CONGRATULATIONS or ask Are you happy about it? Then say, Congratulations if they are. Anyone else experiencing this? Its just so insensitive. Granted, I am only 7 weeks so maybe its because it is so early - most women probably dont share it this early - but if we dont change the stigma about early pregnancy sharing then miscarriages will continue to be something women go through alone in silence. Anyone agree? Disagree?

Udford · 10/04/2023 17:09

@KellyJean I'm pregnant with my second; in my late twenties and can totally relate to this!

My family and friends are much less enthusiastic this time around 🤔

KellyJean · 10/04/2023 17:13

@Udford Congratulations!!

NatGee · 10/04/2023 17:53

@KellyJean wow yeah that's just plain rude. Regardless of what people think they really shouldnt be saying anything other than congratulations or nothing at all. May I ask who these people are? depending on how well you know them id be tempted to challenge them on those reactions.

seven201 · 10/04/2023 18:53

@Mrsrobinsonx sorry to hear about the blood. When is the scan?

@MeganC104 sorry to hear you're poorly. It sucks.

@FlyingHighFlyingLow sorry you're having to wait so long. My area is the same, can only get an appt at epu through a GP. What is cyclizine for?

@KellyJean I think it's probably as you announced before 12 weeks. I've had four miscarriages before and have secondary infertility and am very open with friends about things, but when I've said I'm early stages pregnant some of them change the subject pretty quickly as they don't think it's right. So weird! I'd tell them if I miscarried, so I don't see why I shouldn't tell them I'm pregnant. To be clear, I'm not always banging on about infertility and miscarriages, so I don't think I'm boring them to death, and they're close friends. I'm 40. How old are you? Do you have any other kids? Just wondering if they think the pregnancy was unplanned so don't know if it's a congratulations scenario.

Sorry to those suffering with sickness and food aversions.

KellyJean · 10/04/2023 18:57

@seven201 Thank you for your message! I am 43 and have 1 child that I had at 40. I think you are right! Most of the people reacting this way are older friends and family that are not used to hearing about women having successful pregnancies beyond 35. It is early, there are risks, but damned do I feel blessed and happy today.

Mrsrobinsonx · 10/04/2023 18:57

Hi lovelies, is anyone around 8 weeks and getting more and more ligament pains? Like the mild period cramps and sharp pains every now and then? I think mine may be worse this time due to it being my 3rd baby.
I feel so achey 🫣

Mrsrobinsonx · 10/04/2023 18:59

@seven201 Ive had it for a couple of weeks and they saw a bleed on my 6 week scan but it seems to be getting worse rather than better. I’m on edge every single day! Wednesday x

ukMummyof1 · 10/04/2023 19:12

I'm so behind! Haven't been on the app in soo long so just commenting to stay in this thread😁 I'm due (according to 6 week scan) on the 2nd November. Baby #1 was 11 days early but they certainly make the rules😂🙈

I've gone off sooo many foods this pregnancy, even the thought of some things make my stomach turn, I had nausea last pregnancy not this time it's taken it to a whole new level🤢

JJ2023 · 10/04/2023 19:29

Had my private scan today and baby is measuring 8+3, all looking good and they gave us videos too where you can see the heartbeat ❤️ my first midwife appointment is two weeks today. I’m so ready to get past the 12 week mark now!

seven201 · 10/04/2023 19:44

@KellyJean I'm glad you're feeling happy. Other people can just be weird! I was at my in-laws today and they all know I am 10 weeks (my dh rang them a couple of weeks ago to let them know our news) but they didn't mention it other than in terms of arranging childcare for when I'm at a scan. I think they just think it's too early to say congratulations, but it does make it awkward!

@Mrsrobinsonx that sounds stressful. I'm glad Wednesday isn't too far off now. I think I mentioned earlier but I had three bleeds with my dd, and she was fine. So hard not to worry.

@JJ2023 congratulations on the scan
