@Runnergirl1 Yes, exactly the same! First pregnancy but honestly have found it so tough! I only did the half as it was abroad & booked in for a while but omg I was dead & only 3 weeks pregnant at the point. Since then I tried to keep it up but I have just struggled so much and got so frustrated that I’ve called it quits for now! Always thought I’d run a marathon pregnant 😂 outrageous thinking, I can’t even do a 5k. Hoping for a mini revival in second trimester 🤞🏼 x

greentreeseverywhere · 27/03/2023 18:58

Hi everyone
I'm 4weeks 5days today. this is my 2nd round of IVF and I have a 5year old.
My bfp has been so faint they did bloods. Friday 133 and today 400 so happy it's doubled and had a darker test result today!
scan booked for 13th april when il be 7+1

I joined one of these groups with my 5year old and our fb page is still going strong now! it was a huge source of comfort and knowledge for all areas of life not just babies!

Good luck to everyone 💓

Runnergirl1 · 27/03/2023 18:59

You don’t realise do you how much it takes out of you. I thought I would be like that and carry on running and training but it just went and I haven’t really been able to get back to where I was before. Or the weight I was before (sorry that sounds like a right downer but was just my reality) x

Mldn · 27/03/2023 19:01

@Travellingislife thank you! It is so nerve wracking, hope you’re feeling okay! How are you feeling physically? Hoping tomorrow goes well for you 🤞🏼

Mldn · 27/03/2023 19:06

@Runnergirl1 oh not at all, I have accepted my days of decent running are probs on hiatus! I usually spend so much free time doing it.. not sure it’d be same when I have a baby to care for! I can feel my body turning from muscle to fat by the minute I swear. So I’m sure I’ll have the same issue with my weight! Just hoping I get a second wind in second trimester & can try & keep up some training at least for my sanity x

Travellingislife · 27/03/2023 19:14

@Mldn thank you! I feel pregnant, nauseous from the moment I wake up to the moment I fall asleep and I’m very tired. I’ve skipped training on quite a few days and it’s definitely not like me. With my son I didn’t feel like this at all. It gives me some reassurance having these symptoms but then again it might not mean all is well, it’s definitely a nerve racking time!

Mldn · 27/03/2023 19:19

@Travellingislife fingers crossed for tomorrow - will be thinking of you! The only things I have now are serious tiredness & lack of energy to train as usual, which likewise is unlike me. Part of me wishes I was floored with nausea to feel almost less guilty about skipping the gym. But I need to remind myself I’m pregnant and it’s exhausting even if I am not throwing up! Good luck for tomorrow x

LittleBeanie · 27/03/2023 21:19

@Mrsrobinsonx oh wow, we have had basically the same past few months! I’m so sorry you have been through it too, these aren’t exactly months (except for this one 🤞🏼) that I would wish on anyone. I hope the scan goes well on Friday and you are feeling ok in the lead up to it. Pregnancy after loss is such an anxious time isn’t it!

Runnergirl1 · 27/03/2023 21:53

@Mldn i hope you do better than me. I feel I’m just lazy now lol x

bakugo · 27/03/2023 22:44

Lovely scan @Mldn !

Hope everyone on here is as well as can be. Not much update for me atm, just tired and been quite a bit more crampy than normal today. Boobs also sore! No nausea yet...but only 6 weeks so expecting something shortly.

season 2 smh GIF by BBC

I knew I should be careful what I wished for, after being worried about no nausea up to week 6 it has finally kicked in the last 10 days. All I want to eat is carbs, I had toast for breakfast and lunch and chips for dinner, I’m currently 8+2 and I’ve already put on 5lb.

I work in aviation and am not allowed to take any of the anti nausea medication my doctor has prescribed me. Does anybody have any suggestions? I also work shift work and so I’m feeling constantly exhausted after all the changes between midnight shifts and morning shifts. I haven’t drank a coffee since I found out I was pregnant, but it’s becoming a struggle.

I think the diet is adding to the fatigue as I usually eat a really healthy diet so my body isn’t used to this…but I can’t even contemplate healthy food right now. If it’s not potato or bread based it turns my stomach.

when does the nausea usually end?

BabyBabyBaby123 · 28/03/2023 07:23

Is anyone else really struggling with nausea and work? I haven’t had a full week in work for 2 weeks now and I’m only 6 weeks pregnant. I have been up all night feeling awful and considering phoning in sick again today, but feel quite stressed about having so much time off 😫

Skyla01 · 28/03/2023 10:07

@Psqueak87 that must be so hard with shift work. Last pregnancy I was similar to you- nauseous, sooo exhausted and could only eat beige food but even that wasn't easy. Most people start to feel better around 12 weeks, although for me it was a gradual return to feeling normal again by about 16 weeks. It feels like a lifetime while you are in the middle of it but you will come out the other side.

@BabyBabyBaby123 that is rough, I think you just need to phone in sick when you need. Last pregnancy I battled through, but in hindsight I wish I'd just given up and stayed in bed. It's really hard though. I think because pregnancy is self-inflicted we don't take the rest we need? If you had bad flu though you might not think twice about phoning in sick. Hopefully in a couple of weeks you'll be feeling much better.

DollyGx · 28/03/2023 10:17

@Mldn aww how amazing is your scan photo! Hope that’s eased your worries a wee bit. I’ve got my first scan on Sunday. To say I’m 💩 myself would be an understatement, the scanxiety is real!

BabyBabyBaby123 · 28/03/2023 10:38

I battled into work and feel like death 💀
if I wake up feeling the same tomorrow, I will definitely phone in sick.
I am craving a cold fizzy drink, but all I have is water which is just not cutting it and I have no spare time to nip to the shop to buy myself anything 🙃

Spareincoming · 28/03/2023 11:06

Today was a throw back to my last pregnancy that I was hoping to avoid…

My midwife sent me for extra blood tests because of an underlying health condition I have… today my veins did not cooperate and took 2 attempts per arm to get bloods. Despite a pint of water being drank and keeping my arms warm.

This only happens when I’m pregnant! Argh!

LittleBeanie · 28/03/2023 11:33

Just had my reassurance scan at EPU. All went well and could see a little heartbeat flickering away. Dated a little over 6 weeks so about what I thought. I still feel very emotionally fragile though and just want to get to the 12 week one!! I hope all the other scans today and this week go ok ♥️

Sorry to hear about all the nausea people are experiencing. Mine has really started ramping up the past week, and only subsides when I’m eating. I have a box of breadsticks that lives in the car now so I can constantly snack when needed 😂

TMI2000 · 28/03/2023 11:35

Morning girlies, popping on here to say I had my scan at EPU today, measuring 6 weeks exactly and even got to see a little heartbeat!!

Congratulations @LittleBeanie you and me both. Fingers crossed, only 6 weeks to go! I'm due on the 21st November!

Lav1n · 28/03/2023 11:39

@BabyBabyBaby123 I feel your pain, feeling dreadful and working in the office. I have a huge snack bag I take with me every day, it has ginger biscuits, crisps, yoghurt and basically anything I have felt able to eat in the last month. Plus orange squash, while it isn't fizzy juice it massively helps my nausea.

Skyla01 · 28/03/2023 11:47

@BabyBabyBaby123 I already have fizzy juice and crisps on standby at work! Haven't needed them yet though. What @Lav1n suggests is a good idea.

Lovely to hear heartbeats at early scans.

I still don't have a lot of symptoms, going to make the most of it while it lasts and go for a run today. Really not feeling very pregnant - maybe it was all a dream?!

Billythecat · 28/03/2023 11:49

Hi! Hope it’s ok if I join. I’m currently 5+6 following IVF. Every little feeling makes me panic! I have my scan with the clinic next week, which I am really nervous about. Had a few days of loads of vomiting but now mostly just feel really nauseous all the time instead. Have to keep some biscuits by the bed to feel better enough to get up 😂

Does anyone know how early you are supposed to let the midwifes/doctor know of pregnancy? I was going to wait until after my scan when I will be 7+1 but wasn’t sure if I needed to do it earlier.

anna2101 · 28/03/2023 11:51

@Billythecat I don't know if there is a rule but I self referred at 4 weeks because I was worried about things getting booked up and had my booking appointment exactly at 8 weeks with first scan scheduled for 12 weeks. I don't know if this would have ended up being later had I referred later on

TMI2000 · 28/03/2023 11:56

@Billythecat I'm not sure if each place is different however I gave the team a call when I was 5 weeks and they asked me to give them a call back when I was 6 weeks

LittleBeanie · 28/03/2023 12:10

@TMI2000 that’s wonderful news, I’m so glad your scan went well too!!!

Houseonthehills · 28/03/2023 12:16

I’m out ladies I think , I have spotting and seeing EPU tomorrow morning. 6 plus 1 today and have been feeling lack of sickness past two days so not surprised realky xx
