Hey ladies, I wonder if anyone would like to join me, I'm 4 weeks pregnant and am terrified! I lost a baby in June at 12 weeks and had to have surgical management, I'm so so anxious now!

Would anyone else like to join me on our journey! X

@Moosh18 I've had very mild Cramps since I found out I was pregnant, they haven't got worse or anything but the bleeding is more than spotting. Plus I did a test this morning and the lines was a lot fainter, I'm thinking the worst but I'm glad I have an appointment tomorrow so I can get answers xx

Positivethoughts92 · 01/11/2022 10:22

I’m sure that has been so worrying @W1ll0wx & @Moosh18 it is an anxious enough time as it is but as the other girls have said women can have bleeding/spotting etc and all is still ok so fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻🙏

GemmaJen · 01/11/2022 10:42

@Moosh18 & @W1ll0wx how are you feeling today?

My pain from Friday has been on and off since, called 111, who booked me in with my gp, who has spoken to epu and has asked me to go in to see him today, then maybe onto epu depending on urgency. Feeling so anxious, but also oddly like a fraud, my brain is a mess 🥴 the pain is there but I don't think it's urgent, am I being silly and should just be glad to be checked? I can't seem to think straight at the moment!

W1ll0wx · 01/11/2022 10:50

@GemmaJen unfortunately it's bad news for me 😢 I had severe bleeding and cramps yesterday and went into A&E. I've booked in for the EPU today but I already know what there going to tell me 😔

Rather be safe than sorry, I'm sure your going to be fine! Spotting and mild Cramps can be completely normal! I hope your appointment goes well 🤞🏼❤️
I knew straight away something wasn't right and when it happened I knew 😔

If anyone has ever been through a miscarriage before please share with me how you dealt with it because this is my first one and it's the worst pain I've felt emotionallly ever💔

GemmaJen · 01/11/2022 10:57

@W1ll0wx I had an mmc before my daughter, medically managed. It was awful, my husband got me through it, I think I stayed in bed for a week or so after. Looking forward was the only help to me, I planned on the next pregnancy, we got pregnant with my daughter 2 months later. Apparently, though I don't know how true this is, you can be more fertile in the cycles following mc. Good luck for the scan this afternoon, there are people who have bad bleeds and everything is fine. I've got my fingers crossed for you x

W1ll0wx · 01/11/2022 11:00

@GemmaJen Thanks you ❤️ I don't know how people cope with it, it just doesn't seem fair that these things happen.

I hope everything is okay with you, keep us updated ❤️

theblueflowers · 01/11/2022 11:07

@W1ll0wx I'm so so sorry for what you're going though, it's just awful. I've had two miscarriages and for me, it was just about taking it a day at a time. It's okay to grieve for the future that you thought you were going to have- this is what I found the hardest. Let your partner take good care of you, eat and drink what you want.

I found my experience with the EPU so helpful both times- they took the time to give me my options as well as reassure me. Really hope you have this same experience.

Don't feel guilty if you have to take time out of life/work. For me, I felt better to get straight back into work as a distraction, but there is no right way. If you listen to podcasts, The Worst Girl Gang Ever is a reassuring listen. They also have a Facebook group, which helps to feel not so alone with it all.

I'm sure it doesn't feel like it at the moment, but it WILL get better!

W1ll0wx · 01/11/2022 11:12

@theblueflowers thanks for the advice, I'm lucky enough to have a really supportive partner and family/friends around me.

I'll see what the EPU say today, they might have some advice as well. I agree, I think the hardest bit is grieving the future you thought your were going to have. I feel so sorry for anyone that has been through this, it's awful. Maybe now wasn't my time but hopefully in the future❤️

Hoping all of your pregnancies go smoothly, wishing you all the best❤️

Houseelf90 · 01/11/2022 20:45

@W1ll0wx I’m so sorry to read this 😢 I went through exactly the same thing this time last week at 5+1. The pain was awful, physically and emotionally. My other half was great and came home from work straight away and stayed off with me for the next 2 days. I have the option to work from home so I did a bit of work on my laptop from the sofa with a duvet!
I read loads….searching the internet literally all day every day. It didn’t necessarily help at the time as I was constantly in tears but I am feeling much more positive now. I have no idea how true it is but I’ve read that you are 17% more fertile after a miscarriage, and only 2% of women have 2 in a row which has given me hope that the next one will be successful. Surround yourself with family and friends. I was worried about telling people early incase anything happened, but as soon as something did happen I told all close family and some friends. This definitely helped me get through. To hear how excited my family were that I was going to have a baby and how sorry and sad they were that we had lost it has motivated me to get back on with trying. A week later I have finally stopped bleeding so we will be back to DTD very soon!
it’s so so difficult but you’ll get through this 💕

blueberry23 · 01/11/2022 20:59

So sorry to read this @W1ll0wx hope you are ok.

@Moosh18 how are you doing?

Moosh18 · 01/11/2022 21:46

@blueberry23 I'm okay, started anti sickness tablets today which are helping as I literally couldn't function or keep anything down, have a scan on Friday which is dreading due to the spotting episode, I haven't had anymore since, surely my symptoms wouldn't be this bad??

How are you? Xxx

blueberry23 · 02/11/2022 07:27

I think you're going to be fine @Moosh18 . Your HCG is obviously very high.

I'm good thank you. My scan was amazing Monday, we saw a little heartbeat!

I still don't really have any symptoms other than being absolutely starving and quite tired, and freezing cold constantly.

But I'm so much more relaxed now and happy!

Moosh18 · 02/11/2022 07:43

@blueberry23 that it wonderful news!!! Sorry I meant to ask then completely had a brain melt!

Im expecting the worst Friday, my sickness has gone this morning totally. Haven't even taken a sickness tablet

OP posts:
GemmaJen · 02/11/2022 07:46

@Moosh18 glad to hear you're feeling a bit better, I'm sure the scan will go well, you're hcg must be through the roof with that sickness.

@blueberry23 congrats on the scan, how many weeks were you?

I'm off into EPU for a scan this afternoon, I'm so scared, I barely have symptoms, just some one sided pain and terrible anxiety in the most part. So worried about it.

Moosh18 · 02/11/2022 07:52

@GemmaJen the sickness was putting me at ease, but today I feel totally fine!

@GemmaJen how far are you now? Have you had any spotting or anything? I've had some light brown cm, so that mixed with my symptoms stopping today is not good. Have you had a chat with a midwife or anything like that? Xx

OP posts:
blueberry23 · 02/11/2022 08:17

@GemmaJen good luck! I was bang on 7 weeks which is what I had calculated. I have another scan with EPU in two weeks as I was under the miscarriage clinic.

GemmaJen · 02/11/2022 08:42

@Moosh18 no spotting, but was referred through 111, gp and into EPU yesterday due to the pain, had bloods taken and cervix check done. I'm hoping it's just my c section scar pulling, but it's been freaking me out. I've barely got nausea, sore boobs or anything else, like I feel off but not much. That combined with my slow hcg line progression and I'm concerned its another mmc. These weeks are just so hard, over analysing every little thing with having no real clue what is going on. I'm actually due my booking appointment with the midwife this morning, so going to head in and see what she can suggest regarding the anxiety.

You likely have nothing to worry about —spotting is so common and symptoms do come and go. Can you get a scan any sooner if it'll ease your mind?

Bobkins1991 · 02/11/2022 10:49

Hi all! Hope you don’t mind me jumping on the wagon. This will be my second child 3rd pregnancy.
I just feel really alone this time around and emotions all over the place.
i found out I was pregnant on Sunday. But silly me doesn’t work out when I have my periods and when I don’t they just come once a month and that’s it, im pretty sure it was about 4.5 weeks ago,
I did a clear blue indication test which said 3+ weeks.
so im guessing im approaching 4/5 weeks pregnant.
when did you guys tell your doctors?
I had a miscarriage just before my son 6 years ago, due to this I haven’t wanted to tell anyone just down to the fact I’d have to then tell them if something had gone wrong.
thanks for any advice
xx

W1ll0wx · 02/11/2022 11:11

Hope everything goes okay for everyone! It's such an exciting but anxious thing for us to go through! It's nice to have a forum like this where we can talk to people about it so we don't feel as alone!

Keep me updated on how everything goes girls ❤️

Mayfield87 · 02/11/2022 12:51

So pleased the scan went well @blueberry23 gives me hope that all is well with me as I'm having few symptoms 🤞🏻

blueberry23 · 02/11/2022 16:45

Thanks @Mayfield87 ! Will you be having an early scan?

I was definitely nauseous by now with my son. I've only had a couple of waves of nausea really.

Mayfield87 · 02/11/2022 17:08

Yes I've got one booked for the 13th Nov, I'll be over 8 weeks then hopefully 🤞🏻 yes I was having full on sickness this sort of time with my son too x

Houseelf90 · 02/11/2022 17:15

I’m so annoyed and feeling upset again this afternoon. I had a text message from a midwife asking me how many weeks pregnant I am. Just gut wrenching as I was starting to look forward and start TTC again. I assumed when I spoke to EPU last week and they said they would update my records that it would stop this happening!!

Moosh18 · 02/11/2022 18:33

@Houseelf90 that's really really bad, when I had my mc in June, all future scans apps everything was cancelled and I never heard a thing, apart from the letter from the hospital about the biopsy of the baby, I'm really sorry that's happened 😩

@GemmaJen I hope everything's okay? Xx

OP posts:
Ash0 · 02/11/2022 19:34

@Houseelf90 that’s awful, something that surely would be so simple their end but has caused you more upset. Thinking of you, hope you get back to a positive place soon.

I am a bag of nerves tonight. I’ve had pink CM. Only when I wipe, it isn’t staining nickers. But I have very few symptoms. Don’t really feel sick, a bit tired.. I’m more hungry all the time. Sooo worried now that no symptoms seem to be kicking in and I should be 7 weeks now. All I’ve had is a text to confirm an appointment next week. So don’t even know if I should call Dr or just wait till the appointment!!
