@KizboBaggins thank you πŸ₯° from about 5 weeks so you should see your little one smile soon 🀞🏻Oh yeah I do hate that stage too especially in baby gros and outfits lol!

ChinChilly · 23/08/2022 12:34

@KizboBaggins omg why are the primark ones massive πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Ive never seen Aldi baby clothes in the one by me. I find next and Tesco sizing pretty good aswell.

@Fizzybubblegumbottles my OH said that about cutting the feet out..it is tempting haha

Fizzybubblegumbottles · 23/08/2022 12:41

@ChinChilly if it’s only to wear to bed who cares πŸ€ͺ 🀣

ShellUK09 · 23/08/2022 14:21

@ChinChilly the only thing that has changed since using the infacol is the amount of times she poos. She used to poo once a day now she poos once every two days and when she does it there's loads! It doesn't appear that she is constipated or in pain when she is pooing but she does settle easier once she has done her poo. Mine seems to be in between sizes too, 0-3 are still huge so we are in first size still but she is growing so fast we will probably outgrow the first size soon.

@KizboBaggins every night is slightly different for us. She is 8 weeks now and tends to go about 4 hours between feeds now, she is formula fed and takes 5 ounces during the day but only 2-3 ounces during the late night/early morning feed. Last night my partner did the 12am feed, I did the next feed about 3:45am and a nappy change, and then the next feed was at 7:45am and we got up.

@Fizzybubblegumbottles awww so much hair πŸ₯° I love it how our babies are looking like little people all of a sudden

ChinChilly · 23/08/2022 14:51

@Fizzybubblegumbottles that’s very true, some of her baby grows are so nice though I don’t wanna ruin them! Plus I’d like to keep them for number 2, although OH said he didn’t want anymore when she was in the middle of screaming none stop last night πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@ShellUK09 ahh that’s good to know I’m abit worried about her getting constipated and solving one problem but creating another so we’ll see

CaptainCarp · 23/08/2022 14:55

@KizboBaggins we are 8 weeks today & don't seem to have much of routine anytime between 9-10:30 she's settled to go for her longest sleep which has been 3-4hrs.

Last night we had a "terrible" evening of baby crying or feeding BUT she then slept about 7hrs from 11-6!
So I can put up with lots of feeding if she sleeps that long!

@ShellUK09 baby has outgrown her 1 month clothes now. She just about fitted in a couple of the footless romper/onesies for the last heatwave..
I've got to pack them up soon 😒
She is over 10lb & measured 58cm long last week.
It's wierd how some 0-3 fit perfectly, some are to long & some too wide.

I have found primark items are quite long.

Fizzybubblegumbottles · 23/08/2022 15:08

@ShellUK09 I know he had lots of hair at birth it’s starting to thin out now. My 1st has straight hair and my 2nd has curly hair wonder what type of hair he will have lol.

@ChinChilly ah yeah that’s fair enough lol. Handy to keep them for number 2. Babies aren’t cheap! I’m not planning on having anymore lol. 🀣🀣🀣 I’m sure you can persuade him πŸ€ͺ

CaptainCarp · 23/08/2022 15:24

@ChinChilly glad the infacol worked hopefully baby is more settled today. Also hope that the cream clears up the eczema.

I'm wondering whether to me the outgrown items. I think DP would be ok with not having another as he has 2 but I'm thinking I might want another baby as there is such a big gap between DSC & DC... Not sure if we will be able to afford it though.

@Fizzybubblegumbottles we have lots of hair to although it's worn short in some places πŸ˜‚ I think it's going to be really thick.

SamanthaVimes · 23/08/2022 15:26

It’s mad how quick they grow out of clothes isn’t it?

Ive already put away the newborn/first size stuff and some of the smaller 0-3s don’t fit any more (although the actual sizes are a bit variable as I’ve got things from different shops that all say 0-3 but they’re totally different sizes!)

Fizzybubblegumbottles · 23/08/2022 15:26

@CaptainCarp awww she’s beautiful! Gorgeous hair 😍

Lianna93 · 23/08/2022 15:35

I keep losing track with this thread 😩

That's my little one gotten the cold now - feel so brutal for her 😞

ChinChilly · 23/08/2022 15:36

@Fizzybubblegumbottles I would be happy with one it was OH who insisted kids need siblings πŸ˜‚ I’m not in a rush to do pregnancy and labour again πŸ˜‚

@CaptainCarp she’s been a dream today but let’s see how the night goes lol her skin is looking a lot less red already after one application so fingers crossed!

Look at all these babies with so much hair 😍 my LO is pretty fair, lots of hair round the back not so much on top so she looks like a baby Phil Mitchell atm πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Fizzybubblegumbottles · 23/08/2022 15:40

@Lianna93 hope your little one is ok bless her πŸ₯°

@ChinChilly he might have changed his mind now 🀣 I am one of 8 and I defo won’t be having 8 children 😩🀣 aww so cute lol πŸ₯°

SamanthaVimes · 23/08/2022 15:45

@Lianna93 poor baby, it’s so horrible when they’re not well

KizboBaggins · 23/08/2022 15:58

@ChinChilly we've got a baby Phil Mitchell too! I'm so excited to see what his hair will be like as a toddler. Me and DH both have curly hair so I hope he gets cute little curls.

I am most certainly one and done with babies. We have DSS too and even though I feel kinda bad my LO won't have a sibling near his age, I am absolutely not putting my vagina or our bank balance through it all again πŸ˜‚

missv556 · 24/08/2022 09:56

How long are people leaving babies to cry before going to them? I've had a fussy boy for a couple of days and was talking to a friend and she said put him down and go back to him if still crying after 30 mins. I just don't think I could leave him that long

CaptainCarp · 24/08/2022 10:17

@missv556 sometimes she's had to wait about 10 minutes as I've been on the toilet. I usually leave her a 2-5 minutes if I've put her down & she's having a bit of a cry as long as it's not proper screaming.
If she's got a bit overtired / over stimulated she'll often have a little "whinge" cry then fall asleep.

I couldn't do 30 minutes. There's usually a reason they are crying!

SamanthaVimes · 24/08/2022 10:40

@missv556 depends on the type of cry.
DS has a sort of grumbly cry that I’ll ignore for maybe 5-10 mins (eg if I need a shower. If I waited for him to be happy to be put down I’d literally never wash)
But then he has a β€œI need you NOW” cry which I don’t leave unless it’s completely unavoidable.

With DD she only ever did the β€œI need you NOW” type cry but I think that was because her reflux made her so uncomfortable poor thing so she was never left to cry unless it was in the car and we couldn’t get to her

annie1994 · 24/08/2022 11:38

@missv556 30 minutes seems rather long! I personally could never go that long. The only time I really let him cry without cuddling him is when I’m making a bottle for him, I’m in the toilet or if my toddler urgently needs me - like he’s about to do something that’ll really hurt him (he’s a daredevil!!!) so really only let him cry for a few minutes without comforting him

ChinChilly · 24/08/2022 11:53

@missv556 30 mins does seem abit long especially with them being so young. I agree depends on the cry

Does anybodys babies sleep with their mouths open, I’ve noticed her doing it a few times but I saw a post on instagram this morning that they shouldn’t do it and it’s an indication of a health issue… anyone heard of this?

KizboBaggins · 24/08/2022 12:05

@ChinChilly a few times my boy has had his mouth open but he was still breathing through his nose so I wasn't too concerned. I slept with my mouth open when I was younger as I had blocked airways in my nose, so it's something I'll keep an eye on with him as he gets older.

KizboBaggins · 24/08/2022 12:12

@missv556 I definitely couldn't leave my LO 30mins. Even if he would be fine I would have a complete mental breakdown in that time. I'm EBF so whenever he starts to cry I literally jam him on the boob to try and stop him. The one time I heard him properly scream was when my DH was doing a breast milk bottle for him and he was waiting for it and I couldn't take it at all. Had to put my fingers in my ears. My DH pointed out I'm going to struggle long term if I can't cope with him crying 😬 it just breaks my heart!

ChinChilly · 24/08/2022 12:18

@KizboBaggins I’d never heard of it before so I didn’t think so check if she was still breathing through her nose, she doesn’t do it all the time but I’ll have to keep an eye on it.

We’re having another fussy day here, she was a dream yesterday today she’s an over tired cranky mare.. if she’s not screaming in my face she’s grabbing it πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

KizboBaggins · 24/08/2022 12:35

@ChinChilly same, he's been awake since 8.30 😴 he's not crying too much but he's grunting and wiggling and one minute he wants the boob the next he doesn't. Feels like a cycle of just trying things... feed, burp, playmat, walk round, bounce, lay him down and repeat for eternity

ChinChilly · 24/08/2022 12:42

@KizboBaggins she’s had a half hour cat nap all morning πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ I’m considering loading her up in the pushchair and attempting a walk with her. Are these July babies going through some sort of development/growth spurt.

so glad OH is off for 3 days from tomorrow 😴
