@SamanthaVimes im also fed up with everyone’s messages! I can’t even call my mum or text her now without her going into panic mode and thinking she needs to get ready to look after my dd.

@Mattieandmummy oh no sorry to hear your mums also got covid. Fingers crossed you and your partner manage to escape it and the others are clear by the time baby come home. Covid is rife again at the moment I’m so paranoid everywhere I go

@Mattieandmummy hopefully your test has a better outcome than mine did. I've got no symptoms whatsoever so it came as a huge shock to be positive honestly. I was ill a few weeks ago so I'm wondering if that was active covid and it's just taking a while for my tests to be negative. Apart from being 39 weeks pregnant I feel fit as a fiddle lol

@kiwi17 congratulations. My little boy will be born today too so they will share a birthday 💙

I really can't believe that today is THE day!!! In a matter of hours I'll have a real life human in my arms. Not even nervous, just want to meet him now.

Thanks everyone! Good luck today @missv556 and yay for birthday twins! Just waiting for my toast now then will be going home. It's such a relief it's over - I feel for those of you still waiting that was me last time and I sympathise it's not fun!

Yes me too getting texts 'is she here yet' also every time I call people they say 'are you ok, are you in labour?!' Yes I'd be calling round everyone to say I'm in labour 🙄🙄🙄

Thing is I'm being induced next week! I thought by telling people I wouldn't get these texts / calls - nope!

We haven't heard from @Lianna93 in a while, wonder if her wee one has arrived now too!

Got my ~40 week midwife appointment today so no doubt will be setting a date for induction given baby seems quite content where they are for now - will be 40 weeks on Friday and not a single sign of anything happening yet.
@SamanthaVimes I know exactly what you mean re the messages, I'm just trying to remember people are just showing interest and not let it get to me... Easier said than done, lol!

I know people mean well but after saying no she's not here, no I'm not in labour it's ' how you feeling?'

Sore, uncomfortable, fanny daggers and bum daggers, still have my UTI, anxious at times when I'm still looking out for movement, tired and exhausted 😴

My boss even messaged me last week saying how are you? what are your plans tomorrow morning? I thought ah that's nice, maybe they want to see if I'm free to pop in the office (as they do a lot of team lunches ) and he said just wondered if you wanted to do a shift tomorrow as we are a bit short - didn't know if you were at home bored or something but feel free to say no!!

I left work 2 weeks ago annual leave before my mat leaves starts next week

Congrats @kiwi17 best of luck @missv556 so exciting!off to be induced myself this morning as an Outpatient feeling quiet nervous finding it very difficult to switch of the medical brain!family back in ireland have all the prayers and candles on the go though so fingers crossed-wouldnt be a massive mass goer myself but will take anything at all to help at this stage and make me less nervous!Will keep ye updated x

Been bouncing on my ball like mad & even pushed myself to walk round the local country park - which seems to have helped slightly as I've finally lost my plug!
She's got 4ish days to evict herself before I'm induced 😂😂

@missv556 good luck for today 💞 hope you are feeling okay in yourself with the Covid. Hopefully just a quick stay in hospital then home.

I watched a birthing video today and was completely roaring crying. OH caught me and thought my emotions were cute.. I didnt tell him there was a lot of fear in there! (the video was pretty raw) 😬 but none the less ready for baby. 38 + 5 and feel like Im just waiting about for labour to start at this point!!
Been considering elective c section if I go over as opposed to going down the induction route. Not sure how willing they are to do this but midwife did mention it

@Lianna93 ah I was so convinced lol, that's disappointing 😆 glad the walk helped a bit though, I keep telling myself I need to walk more but my OH is at the point he doesn't want me going anywhere myself and I walk too slow for him now lol.

@strawberrysummer19 can't believe the cheek of them!! Lol! Must admit I have logged into my work laptop a couple of times, but mainly just to check my out of office is working ok and to sign a card for someone else!

I’ve lost 2 quite big amounts of my mucus plug today (I think) last one was abit blood stained and the 💩’s & loads of cramps but I’ve been having bad cramps for about a week now so trying to not let myself think into it much

@kiwi17 congratulations on your little boy! Glad it went well even though you didn't have the home birth you wanted.

I was in no fit state to be posting a few hours after birth so I'm impressed!

@Mattieandmummy fingers crossed you are still negative at your pre-op.

@SamanthaVimes I think I was lucky because I had a date to be induced & then baby came out so fast after I only had 1 person ask if there was "any news" on the day of my induction.

Then I just had "are you home yet" a few times from colleagues.

I think where I am so close - a week off being induced I have a bit more anxiety than I used to

I've always had a bit which I put down to TTC 5 years, 2 rounds of IVF, I am consultant led due to age (40) and thyroid issue and more scans than usual due to slight drop of fetal weight and fluid which I've been told is still within range

But it's like I feel so worried of her being born healthy

Did anyone - does anyone feel like this near the end?

I'm on mat leave and suppose have ran out of things to keep me busy
Just seem worried today 🙁
