That's a fab weight @annlee3817 I'm sure that's making you feel lots better.
Can't believe how close we are to hearing baby news !! There will be more than 1 august baby! Hoping mine can hold out until sept due date !!

Sabiina · 29/07/2022 13:03

@awwbiscuits I was going to ask the same I’m 34+4 and literally am exhausted. Feels like I just move from the bed to the sofa. Cleaning takes ages as has to do it so slowly 🙈🙈
I'm really struggling with this tiredness/exhausting feeling.

Sweetbabydust1989 · 29/07/2022 15:49

@TurquoiseDreamCatcher that weight sounds about right I had a growth scan at 32 weeks 2 days and my little one is weighing 4lb 3oz xx

awwbiscuits · 29/07/2022 16:04

It's like being back in the first trimester again! Just soooooo exhausted. My sil is taking me out for a pre-baby dinner tonight but it's at 6:45 and I know I'll be just totally done in!!

Sabiina · 29/07/2022 17:01

@awwbiscuits i totally get what you mean. It’s so much I want to do and start sorting at home and once I start I really struggle and have to stop. Just wanna lie down and chill, also feeling quite nauseous again 🙈 x

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 29/07/2022 17:15

@Sweetbabydust1989 I'm happy with the 4lb weight estimation. They are watching baby's weight because of the GD, I'm happy she isn't a giant 🤣

I've just finished my last shift, I'm now officially on mat leave. Let the serious nesting commence!

HaresHoping · 29/07/2022 18:18

@Sabiina @awwbiscuits 34+3 here and also exhausted 🙈🙌🏻

@TurquoiseDreamCatcher you have such resilience, I really feel for you with the catheter. Hope it becomes a normal routine and not too tricky for you ❤️

Has anyone had braxton hicks? I keep getting a tightening, but only feeling pain in one bit of my bump so not sure if that's what it is or if the baby is just sticking his bum out and it hurts a bit 😂

Sabiina · 29/07/2022 18:23

@HaresHoping glad it’s not only me 😂 feel like I should be able to get stuff done etc as a lot of people talking about nesting, I’m long over that stage it feels like 🤦🏼‍♀️ X

madeleine85 · 29/07/2022 18:37

@HaresHoping honestly it could be either. With BH my belly goes hard for a few seconds and I definitely get a tightening feeling, but also now we are short on space, when he turns around or moves a lot I can feel pressure for a few seconds which isn't BH (I think). As long as there is no repeating pattern and you aren't in pain its all good. I've had a few real contractions this time around and they start in my back, go to my lower abdomen and then back to my back, come in waves for 1-2 hours and hurt like hell, so it is pretty clear what those are this time around.

110APiccadilly · 29/07/2022 19:28

Hope your scan's gone well @madeleine85 . It is a bit odd going to everything with a bag packed just in case. My scan (and baby had an ECG just so they can say they've checked everything!) was fine - blood flow, fluid and baby's heartbeat all good.

I think my nesting instincts are deficient; I'm just about managing to keep on top of my normal cleaning rota (which is carefully designed to be the minimum I can get away with already!)

madeleine85 · 29/07/2022 21:19

@TurquoiseDreamCatcher sorry that you are having issues with urinary tract, but glad that you are getting treatment, even if it does sound painful.

@annlee3817 that is such a great weight from your scan (and congratulations to anyone else with scans and good news)!

@110APiccadilly thanks for the good wishes!

I went for my weekly growth measurements at 35+3 (i'll caveat that the sonographer couldn't get a good angle on his belly so these could be wildly inaccurate) but they thought he suddently might be at 7% after a month of 3%?! I think he went to 4lbs 12oz on the screen, last week was 3lbs 14oz. Again, could be very very wrong as there is always a margin of error, he is probably somewhere in between the two. Either way, we were told we get a one week reprieve. Next week will be the final measurement at 36+3 and we were told to definitely bring a hospital bag, as the amniotic fluid is under 4cm now, and should be 15+ so at somepoint between next Friday and Tuesday the little guy is coming out. It is still likely that there will be some NICU time, but every day he is in cooking longer is potentially less time there, and i'll take it with open arms. The sonographer also said she could see him practicing breathing on the scan which was throwing off her measurements, but to me, the fact he is doing that just makes me so happy. One more week of limited exercise, staying indoors out of the heat, sleeping, and eating all things protein. My toddler also said this morning "Mama is going to the hospital today, they are going to cut her open so I can meet the baby" so I was worried she had some weird creepy premonition, I was utterly taken back by the news when the doctor told us, it has been a minute since we've heard anything positive! Hope you all have lovely relaxing weekends planned, i'm literally so happy right now im like a cheshire cat :)

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 29/07/2022 22:17

Oh wow! It really isn't long for you now. At least with an estimated arrival date you can get things ready at home and mentally prepare yourself. How exciting that we will have our first baby on this thread soon!

Butterflytulip · 29/07/2022 22:52

@madeleine85 fantastic news and so glad to hear you are getting amazing care from your team at the hospital. They sound wonderful.
Not be long now until you meet your baba!!!

HaresHoping · 29/07/2022 23:17

Oh my god @madeleine85 🙌🏻 that's all great news and so exciting. Can't believe we will have our first thread baby so soon! 😍😍😍

@madeleine85 that's great news that you'll go to 36 weeks at least :)

Glad your scan went well too @110APiccadilly

@HaresHoping yep lots of Braxton Hicks, if they're regular though contact your midwife, otherwise bump goes absolutely solid and a bit contorted, and I get a downward pressure with them. They were regular a few weeks ago, every 2-3 mins and I was admitted, all find one though.

annlee3817 · 30/07/2022 07:49

That was meant to say all fine now though

HaresHoping · 30/07/2022 08:22

Ah thank you @madeleine85 and @annlee3817 on the braxton hicks stuff - I'm not sure that's what I've had tbh 🤔 it's so hard to tell when you've never had them before! I only get a bit of a pain in one really specific area but the bump does feel tight, lasts a bit longer too. I reckon it's just baby sticking some body part out and making the skin so tight that it hurts a little bit.

Glad you're all fine too @annlee3817 ❤️

awwbiscuits · 30/07/2022 16:05

All sounds really positive on here!

Sweetbabydust1989 · 30/07/2022 19:04

Dumb question alert what size should I get in a cardigan/jacket for little one?? I had both my boys in spring/summer (April and June) so they didn't really need them but with this one being born in September I am wasn't sure wether to get a bigger size say 3-6 months instead of 0-3 months simply because September can either be either on the weather xx

Butterflytulip · 30/07/2022 19:31

@Sweetbabydust1989 definitely 3-6. If you are in the UK you'll prob need the heavier stuff come Jan-April! Iv bought an all in one pram suit from mamas and papas. Cardigan I actually have a newborn one for leaving hospital. Not bothering with coat as they are too little. Best just layering up and using blankets when out etc cause they are easier to take off

Sweetbabydust1989 · 30/07/2022 20:00

@Butterflytulip I am in the U.K. South London so the weather is so unpredictable 🙈 I think I might just order a couple of cardigans in 3-6 months it was much easier with my boys due to the time of year they were born x

Butterflytulip · 30/07/2022 20:18

Good plan @Sweetbabydust1989 we don't
Know what we are having so I'm not buying much until after birth! Last time we were in lockdown so I was forced to order greys and whites as couldn't easily pop down to a shop! It's so exciting!!

Sweetbabydust1989 · 30/07/2022 20:22

@Butterflytulip least I can pop a sleep suit underneath for some extra warmth on the really cold days.. oh my boys were so desperate to know what we are having they're getting a long awaited sister bonus for us after the sort of back to back losses last year xx
