Hiya everyone,

Just starting a new thread for when we need it as thread 6 is almost full! ☺️

@Stepmum94 yes all of a sudden this week I have become very tearful, once it starts it won't stop !!

I'd have said I wasn't at all emotional until yesterday, but it was a particularly difficult day, I got called in to the bigger, further away hospital at very short notice, DH couldn't come as he was working and frankly it was pure dumb luck that I could sort childcare for DD. So it was all pretty stressful even before I needed to spend a couple of hours hanging around waiting to find out whether the scan results were ok. (They were.)

Unfortunately I've now taken a fairly deep seated dislike to that hospital. Which is unfortunate as it's probably the only option I have for delivery - the only other one that would even be a geographical possibility has been in the news pretty recently for all the wrong reasons so not sure that's a good option, even if I'd be allowed to transfer there - and it is also even further away.

I’ve just seen a video of a little girl running excitedly up to Minnie Mouse who lifts her mouse head up so you can see there’s a person inside. Honestly, I’m so upset! 😂😭 I want to hug my little girl so badly but she’s already at school. How ridiculous!

I also have a step son who’s mother hates me so is making all of this very stressful for me

I've just been for a growth scan (thanks GD). Baby was sucking her fingers, I can't cope with how cute this is!

@annlee3817 the scan went really. Baby was kicking during the scan so I'm able to correlate what I feel to what she is actually doing. Her growth is just above the 10th centile and they have said she has long legs!

The placenta has moved away from my cervix which leaves the exit route nice and clear if I go into spontaneous labour. Although I definitely want an ELCS.

How are we all coping in this heat. I’ve just collapsed on the sofa after work and feel really sick, and it’s not even the hottest day of the heatwave yet!

I'm throughly fed up and too hot today. Not helped by being trapped in the hospital for most the day. After my scan they lost me in their system and I was waiting over an hour to see the midwife 😒 followed by a 45 minute wait for the hospital pharmacy to dispense my medication.

When I finally got home, I just sat and did nothing. I just have no energy!

Had my GTT today (midwife booked it late by mistake 😖) not the best weather for it! Was raging with hunger / thirst when I came out at midday. Frozen grapes are not cutting it, would love to know your tips! Last pregnancy (July baby) I took to lying on one of those cooling dog mats at night and it was bliss, might have to get that bad boy out this eve.

Anyone a little anxious that baby's sex might be wrong I had a 4d scan done as a gift from a friend they did a view of baby's bits but I am still in denial 🙈 xx

I still ask them to check at every scan 🤣

I've been tee-total for about 5 years. But right now, I fancy a pimms.

I'm the same @TurquoiseDreamCatcher - pretty much never drink. Might get invited to a wedding once every 5 years and have a drink then. But never ever have any at home, or on a random weekend. Then my friend sent me a photo of the big glass of pimms she had and I was like oooooo yes please.

@TurquoiseDreamCatcher I think i will be asking tomorrow 🙈 surly the 4d view can't be bloody wrong 😂 oh I fancy a large glass of pornstar martini so badly right now just give me a fish bowl size with a straw 😂 xx

I'm So glad we didn't find out. Now it's getting closer I'm so excited to know!!
My stomach is moving continuously now! Big jumps and lots of movement all over. Im trying to video it like I did with my first baby

Great news about your placenta @TurquoiseDreamCatcher 🥳 Good to know just in case though I'm sure you'll get your ELCS anyway.

This heat is not fun is it. I'm up north as well so I really feel for any Londoners! Sending cooling vibes 💙

I could absolutely murder a Pimms and it's not yet 8am 😂

@Butterflytulip not at all I always thought she was a girl but I am in denial as I have 2 boys already and you see horror stories about it being wrong my boys are so excited to meet their sister I am happy either way xx

@HaresHoping it's cooler atm thank god we had friends over last night and once they left I stripped off to my knickers I was melting 😂 xx

@HaresHoping oh don't I swear this baby has hold of my bladder like a squishy toy 5 times last night I was up and down 🙈 xx

Stayed at my mums last night. She has zero fans in her house. I have one in almost every room of my house because I'm so hot all the time. I was just drenched in sweat and did not sleep well at all 😭

Oh no @legaltigger 🙈 you need to go to the fridge for a nap!

English Garden by the brand ANON is AF Pimm's alternative, not tried it but reviews are good. Tricky to get hold of but is on Amazon. I have litre bottles of Pimm's AND Aperol in the cupboard, would love an ice cold glass in the sun!

Ironically I think my sweet toot has got the better of me. Despite getting the all clear on my GD test two weeks ago, I reported glucose at my 28wk appointment. Hoping it's just poor food choices as I've had a very carb heavy week,

Does anyone have a simple GD meal plan? I think I need to watch my diet regardless of what comes back from blood tests.

Growth scan done my little one is weighing 3lb 2oz atm so relieved they think baby will be a nice size much like my second and baby is definitely a girl I had a panic attack yesterday when sorting her bits out thinking what if she grew a penis 😂 xx

@Sweetbabydust1989 congrats on the girl!! Highly unlikely she grows a penis at this stage, but never say never 😂. How many weeks are you? I think my guy is 32.5 weeks and 3.5lbs but weighing in behind, so I find this fascinating now.
