@missv556 I'm the same, my weight gain is all bump (and some boob!). However I weighed myself out of curiosity last night and I have gained NINE POUNDS in less than 3 weeks... which leads me to believe I am growing a whopper ๐Ÿ˜ณ scans say he's 50th centile but I reckon he's gonna be huge...

KizboBaggins · 09/06/2022 08:24

@HotToddyColdSauvignon ahh congratulations! How are you feeling? I feel like 37 weeks is such a big marker like it could happen at any minute ๐Ÿ˜ฎ so exciting!

ChinChilly · 09/06/2022 08:48

@missv556 oh god, could be in for an 8-9lb-er then ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ alot of people say the growth scans are not that accurate and ended up having smaller babies than predicted so I'm holding onto that haha.

@KizboBaggins I'm the same its all gone to my stomach to the point where I think my knees are struggling with the extra weight.. they are killing me.

The tiredness from lack of sleep is really starting to get to me now. I can't get comfortable sitting anywhere. The thought of another 5 weeks feeling like this is making me want to burst into tears.

Lianna93 · 09/06/2022 09:20

I'm all stomach too ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‚ Granted, I did lose some weight due to having HG.
I'm still waiting for my boobs to get the memo though ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜‚

I just sneezed so hard that I legit felt like my pelvis was about to snap into two ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

@kiwi17 thanks for the positive induction story!
I can't go in the birthing pool as I'm classed as high risk but they say I can walk around the hospital grounds whilst waiting for labour to start.

@HotToddyColdSauvignon oh wow! Baby could appear anytime now then. Is she head down & engaged do you know?

I've only got 4 days until term now & baby is apparently engaged. It'll be a little sigh of relief come Monday as I know baby will be term & "OK" to come out.

HotToddyColdSauvignon · 09/06/2022 11:35

Yes, she's been head down since about 15 weeks, ha, I've had 7 bloody months of her pressing on my bladder!
Feeling... strangely calm. Just wanted to get to 37 weeks and all be ok... everything's prepped and ready so write happy for her to come anytime... (after my fancy pedicure though!)

NamelessBaby1 · 09/06/2022 13:08

Yay got our baby box in this morning, and have been reading all the bits that came with it and downloading the RSNO app, lol. Now I just need my travel system to arrive and that's everything I've been waiting on (bar baby itself!)
Finally have someone identified to hand over the rest of my work to, with 6 working days to go! Better late than never I suppose...

@HotToddyColdSauvignon I have a pedicure on my list of things to do when I finish up, dread to think what state my wee toes are in these days as it's been a while since I've seen them, lol. Hope you enjoy yours! It's so exciting that some of you are so close now, although 5 weeks till due date really doesn't seem long for me!!

strawberrysummer19 · 09/06/2022 14:06

I'm excited for everyone who is at the 37 week marker !

I was wondering what do so when I leave work in 3 wks - I think a pedicure is a fab idea ๐Ÿ˜€so that's going on the list.

I'm so uncomfortable and only 33wks

Still have 6 wks until induction
I actually feel ready now! X

MollyRover · 09/06/2022 14:35

@HotToddyColdSauvignon enjoy the pedicure, I've been trying to book my usual lady but according to the website she's fully booked until 3 weeks after I'm due ๐Ÿ˜ญ.

I'm 35+2 now and feeling every ounce. Can't sleep, tire easily and have to sit a lot, even though I'm never comfortable for long. Really hoping we'll get some movement around the 38 week mark like DC1 but my sister said that DN (also second baby) was 2 weeks late so I'm dreading that possibility!!

Got very organized this week though, have nearly everything we need, all set to wash, put away and pack hospital bag. I'll start next week with that, DH and DC1 are off too this week so it's nice to enjoy the quality time with them.

missv556 · 09/06/2022 16:16

Pedicure sounds like a fantastic idea. I was at the nail salon with my friend earlier and I said I'd treat myself after birth but why wait?

37 weeks is a pretty big milestone really. Maybe the biggest one of all. My midwife said on Tuesday from that point they can literally come at any second ๐Ÿ˜ฌ I could totally get on board with being free in 2 weeks versus 5 weeks. Literally everything is effort. Spent a few hours out, most of it sat down and I'm still exhausted. Sat in the nail salon with my friend then we had lunch then spent maybe 45 minutes at the shops before she had the school run and I've had to come home early to have a lie down because the tiredness hit like a ton of bricks. I havent been out the past 2 days either so not like I've been overdoing it

ShellUK09 · 09/06/2022 16:18

I had a follow up growth scan today and baby was measuring average again today! She weighs 5 pound 3 ounces at 34 wks 3 days. I get so confused by the different centiles and measurements, after being told she was big by the midwife, then small by last scan, and now average! She also told me baby can put on half a pound a week until delivery so she said not to buy newborn sized clothes! Already got quite a few ๐Ÿ™ˆ also hoping scans aren't entirely accurate! I was told they would discharge me now and I go back to midwifery care. She gave us some lovely photos of baby giving us a selfie and also playing with her toes ๐Ÿฅฐ

deliwoman1 · 09/06/2022 17:21

@HotToddyColdSauvignon a pedicure is such a great idea! I might treat myself to one too. Promised myself a (much needed) haircut as well so might do that next week.๐Ÿ˜€37 weeks is so exciting! I get there on Sunday but would be much happier about it if she was head down...

@ChinChilly , @MollyRover, @missv556 My sympathies! I seem to be doing okay with walking (once I get going) and general energy levels, but I can't sit on our sofa for long at all before it hurts like hell. Getting out of bed is also a pain. I sort of roll myself out and then when I'm finally on my feet I'm too stiff to move for a minute. It sucks when I'm up and down to the loo three times a night.

@ShellUK09 My sister was adamant the midwives know nothing about size or position because they've gotten it so wrong with her kids.๐Ÿ˜‚Scans are better but they can be pretty inaccurate too - I read that they can be out a pound either way somewhere, so you may well have your little one in newborn clothes! That's so cute about the photos. The last one we got offered was at 20 weeks. None since then!

HotToddyColdSauvignon · 09/06/2022 17:29

I feel you on the awkward getting out of bed roll @deliwoman1 !

I sit there huffing and puffing for 2 mins having just got myself into an upright position finally. Then waddle to the loo. Then get back into bed and more huffing and puffing as I try to drag the pillow back or get the duvet adjusted. Then an hour later need to get up for the loo again!

HotToddyColdSauvignon · 09/06/2022 17:30

Exactly @missv556 why wait! I doubt Iโ€™ll get a chance to go spend an hour+ having my toes and feet all scrubbed and buffed and made to look less like their current claws state once the baby is here, plus will be nice to look down at some pretty feet whilst Iโ€™m screaming my head off in Labour ๐Ÿ˜‚

KizboBaggins · 09/06/2022 18:06

Yesss mani, pedi AND haircut are all on my list to do once I finish work! Can't bloody wait. Although my nail lady is also pregnant so I'm just hoping she doesn't go on maternity before I do...

Does anyone else feel like evenings are much harder physically than mornings? I feel ok first thing, then by the time I've finished work and got home it feels as though the baby has sank down low and somehow he feels heavier throughout the evening

ChinChilly · 09/06/2022 18:26

@missv556 I'm with you I could be down with getting this baby out in 2 weeks! I'm going to be trying all the old wives tales from 37 weeks.

@ShellUK09 I've been told by a few people the scans aren't that accurate. I'm holding onto that seen as my little fatty is 6lb at 34 +5

@deliwoman1 my hair is in desperate need of attention but tbh I can't think of anything worse than sitting in a hairdressers chair fot god knows how long. Maybe a post birth glam up for me instead!

CaptainCarp · 09/06/2022 18:35

I was planning on having my hair cut before baby arrived but that doesn't look likely now ๐Ÿ™ˆ

I've had to have some time off work to get my car repaired & spent it cleaning. Still feel like I've got loads to do!

Baby is currently EFW at 6lbs but I don't feel that big although getting down on the floor is a bit more awkward.
If baby puts on 1lb a week it's going to be big!
Im currently only 1.5kg heavier than when I had my booking in appointment thanks to my diabetes diet so think that's helping me not feel too big.

MollyRover · 09/06/2022 18:50

@CaptainCarp @ChinChilly definitely wouldn't wait if you want to get your hair done, mine can take 2 hours so I want to get it done as close as possible to the birth- don't see myself being able to do it for a while after bubs comes along, and I've only been getting 6 - 8 weeks out of my roots lately ๐Ÿ™„

CaptainCarp · 09/06/2022 20:55

@MollyRover unfortunately I don't think I can get in with my hairdresser before my induction ๐Ÿ™ˆ the last few weeks seem to have flown by!
Luckily I don't have colour or anything, literally would just be a trim but I've just kept putting it off.

I need baby to stay in for another week so I can shore up stuff at work. Then they can come out whenever they want ๐Ÿ˜‚

SPea · 09/06/2022 22:09

I've already booked a hair cut at 38 weeks, first week of mat leave (if I make it to then), and was going to book a manicure, but was advised against it incase I needed a c-section as apparently they would make you remove it so they can see the colour of your nails for monitoring during surgery! I'm assuming toes are different tho, so may go for a pedicure instead.๐Ÿค”

MollyRover · 09/06/2022 22:16

@CaptainCarp that's a relief! I do feel for you though, I bowed out of work last week because I just couldn't do it anymore. Supermama if you're still able to carry on xx.

Amazed at what I've managed to get done in just a few days as in terms of organizing us, will take me another week or so to get fully on track and then I'll truly put my feet up and concentrate on the physical and mental preparation.

Did anyone else watch the free webinar on hypnobirth this evening? I found it really useful!

Lianna93 · 09/06/2022 23:32

@MollyRover I did - haven't quite decided if I'm gonna sign up yet or not. Though, I did like the email they sent afterwards with the colouring in pages - will definitely be printing those off ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Does anyone have any ideas what this can be?
It's so sore and irritating!!

Been going on a week or so

Midwife said doesn't seem to be pregnancy related
DR said it may be puppp but not so sure ?
Got cream and antihistamine buy the cream is medicated and only to be used 1-2 times a day

I've also been using e45 and calamine lotion as I need to put something on it as before I was calling it in bio oil/coco butter which I've stopped as it's scented

Just feel like it's an extra thing that's making me feel uncomfortable and feel miserable especially when no one knows what it is

It's that bad I can even wear clothes around it as I can't bear it

@strawberrysummer19 have they done a blood test to rule out liver problems? Itโ€™s probably not ICP but Iโ€™d want them to check.

Have you changed any shower gel/ laundry detergent/ fabric conditioner etc? As I know our bodies can react more easily when pregnant. For my DS1 around 37 weeks I was so itchy everywhere it was driving me mad, they did my bloods and I had to go into triage. When I got home I realised itโ€™s because Iโ€™d changed all our detergent to Fairy for the baby but I was allergic to it ๐Ÿ˜‚

MollyRover · 10/06/2022 09:18

@Lianna93 I'm not going to sign up for it because I just don't have the time with 4 weeks to go, and I've a feeling it'll be earlier too. It's just given me a different perspective on my first labour (induction after waters breaking and 50+ hrs of contractions with little dilation ๐Ÿ˜ฑ) and some things to think about.

DH watched it with me and it's given him a good focus too. Especially the advice about birth plans, we are going to research a couple of backups. Not because we think it will go to any sort of plan, but just for piece of mind and to feel more in control of the situation.
