You've got a couple of weeks yet @Minster2012 so your wound may be way more healed and that will all be possible...wishful thinking anyway? 🤣🤣🤣 like that she's making her feelings known!

Wowsers @feliznavidad2 Mat leave has come round nice and quick! Will you be able to chill or will you have DS all the time? I used to see adverts on fab for professional buggy cleaners which i completely would use but haven't seen an advert in a while. It's that or hoping the mother in law does it 😬

Rubbish @Franklydear off to bed with you!

Bless you @Lexber that sounds shattering, you're clearly an excellent parent though if that's what your 15 year old did, what a gem! Are the twinkles too little for one of those calpol plug-ins?

London today, on the platform. It's going to be warm later so blazer and no coat but platform is obviously cold! Managed to fit into an existing size 14 shirt I own which I'm pretty pleased with! Need to return mountains of things I ordered to try, a job for the weekend!

OP posts:
Juno231 · 18/05/2022 08:02

@Minster2012 I hope this pic helps! Your jubilee weekend could be fab if you let everyone else do the work around and not lift a finger - you'd be entitled to it! And maybe OH could not be hungover...

@InkyPaper score on the next2me! Love a freebie - does this mean your brother potentially has other stuff you could grab as well?

I was out until 10pm at drinks with old colleagues last night in the 26 degree London heat - it felt glorious! I think my feet have gotten fat though as my left heel ended up bleeding profusely after randomly chafing in shoes I've had for ages?

Had a "nice" older lady at work ask me when I'm due and then proclaim "oh, you must be having a big baby then". What a hag 😂

Minster's 8th Side Car - Best not let the men see our post-partum bodies eh?!
Juno231 · 18/05/2022 08:05

@bez91 the bed frame sounds like something my OH would do too 😂 what a potato - did he feel sheepish for it at least?

@feliznavidad2 I'm excited to see the pics!!

Minster2012 · 18/05/2022 08:24

@larrythelizard yeah if will be possible. I mean I have to do dog walking from next week so need to get more mobile. Btw if you are wearing shorts pregnant & an existing shirt then I don't think you need new clothes! I'm pleased I didn't buy lots

@paintfairy book a trip away, def! What's still on your list to buy for baby? I need to get down the play mat from upstairs try to keep her awake a bit during the day

@Franklydear I would genuinely feel terrible to do that seeing as they are doing all the driving to come up here, I'll just try shirk as much as possible

@feliznavidad2 wooooo to mat leave, that does seem to have come round quick (for us!) thank you I love the duns stuff it's so soft, X loves it & he's wanting match her so look out for that! Def take pictures of the pram for us!!

Just been vomited on!
So went with the small gro swaddle last night, & she still wasn't settling so put her arms in & hey presto. So maybe she's an arms in kinda girl at night.

@Lexber get yourself back to bed!! Sorry bugs are going round, it's all rife here too and I'm so pleased DDs can help

By the way I've got a 50% off code for the "little ones" sleep program if anyone wants it, was it @larrythelizard that also did it for DS? Doesn't work for everyone but Very useful to try establish a vague routine I found, like from next week I'll be doing dog walking at nap time & carrying her. If anyone wants let me know

larrythelizard · 18/05/2022 08:55

Ah thanks @feliznavidad2 @Minster2012 I have got unduly obsessed with what baby will wear to go home in - I wanted something bright but unisex but hadn't found anything I loved, there's deffo some stuff on DUNS that might do the trick!

I have heard feet can grow in pregnancy @Juno231 but may also be that you're standing differently because of the bump. I've given up on any and all pretty shoes and now just have a collection of trainers and sandals, not sure I can blame pregnancy for that, more 2 years and also being mid-30s and not giving a fuck anymore! Find the lady's address and we can send her glitter in the post of something...!

OP posts:
Lexber · 18/05/2022 09:16

Unfortunately they are too young for everything @larrythelizard as they are 5 week tomorrow (1 wk corrected) and everything goes on their corrected age as classed as prem and low birth weights. I think the fact I knocked over a bottle then stood at the kitchen counter with my head on the kettle and eyes closed falling asleep stood up told her I was broken 🤣🤣 I'd managed 10hr broken sleep in 3 nights and no catch up day naps as babies too fussy or too busy 🤦🏽‍♀️
Managed to grab another hour or so after posting, just sat feeding E now and bang in time (after sleeping through her shouts at me to hurry up and fetch the milk mother) T has decided he would also like feeding because that's the new game.. let's feed together so mum has no spare hands 🤣🤣

Also woke this morning with lovely milk patches from my left boob on PJs 🤷🏽‍♀️ not fed breast for nearly 4 weeks 🤣🤣

Minster2012 · 18/05/2022 09:32

@Lexber just the left boob god our bodies are weird! I'm not leaking other than when feeding so I'm pleased with that. You really are super woman!!

Thanks @Juno231 that's more helpful with the "layers" of things like bamboo, it's that I was confused about! Bloody woman seriously I hate how ppl think it's ok to make comments. I heard on the radio last week thats it's the ligaments in your feet stretching same as elsewhere, so that's why often they don't go back to the corner size cos they are actually bigger?! Weird eh?

@larrythelizard there's so much lovely unisex duns or maxomorra bits, they are really soft & not too thick for this weather, maxomorra also have the long 2 way zips, watch out tomorrow for some pics hopefully of twinning I shall try get them the matching ones!

Franklydear · 18/05/2022 11:27

Who missed the bloody drama, af not here yet, can we get this done now please? In bed anyway cos I can, and feel like dead warmed up

paintfairy · 18/05/2022 12:02

@dkdk123 I'm amazed you are even getting on MN at all. You are doing well! Definitely top marks to DH for letting you sleep. Bless him.
@larrythelizard yeah all the maternity stuff is shit. I'm glad I don't go to work. I can look shit wfh and it doesn't matter. But I have minimal clothes. The pain and grumpiness and lack of sleep is also shit. 🤣 Selling things is not stress when normal people want to buy it. The issue is that fb is full of morons, but you can usually work these out from the first message. Its a bit like Internet dating. 🤭 Anyone normal just comes and gets it, no faff.
@juno231 I'm looking forwards to baby clothes washing too! Weird. The woman at work is an idiot. We were on about this last night in class actually, I'll comment further down.
@bez91 omg! Upside down?! Oops. 🙄🤣 How they even survive on this planet, I do not know. Half a beer? I could murder a JD and coke......
@Minster2012 I can well imagine babies are hard to dress. Then are sick and need changing anyway. I'm not looking forwards to that as I hate it when it takes an age to get out the house. The heat is a bloody pain. I bought some really lightweight sleeping bags as well, in case it was boiling. Agree family could be useful but you need to be making sure they take the pressure off you. Not add to it. Use it to your advantage.
@inkypaper God, don't leave the house until the last minute. You'll regret it. I am! I just want it sorted and I've no energy any more.
@feliznavidad2 Agree on the hot and uncomfortable. Yay for nearly finishing work! How exciting.
@Lexber sounds all good mostly. I think you are doing amazingly!

I think I've mastered MN on my phone. Read on the web page but reply using the app. It just doesn't know usernames. 🙄
So- last 'fat' class was last night. How time flies- 6 weeks gone just like that. One girl is 38 weeks and hasn't even packed her hospital bag yet. She is braver than me. We also spoke about people commenting (and touching) bumps. And how its the only time people think they can just give an opinion on what you look like? And one person will say you look big for your weeks and the next will say you look small. Like any have any bloody clue anyway. 🤣 As for the touching I think my face must warn them off- as I've not had it. But they all had? 😱
I think I've bought most things now. Just random bits on my list left (assuming said needed items even made it to the list). @minster2012 Those things are thermometer, plastic cup with straw (for labour), car sunshades, baby monitor, changing mat, baby bouncer, nail clippers, ear plugs (for hospital, but I've never used them before so no idea what to buy), haakaa (can't decide if to wait), car seat cover for the dog having to relocate to the front of the truck, ball (do I need one or will the hospital have one?).
So some of that stuff isn't desperate to get before birth anyway.

I need to wash and organise all my baby clothes to make sure I've got what I need, but I think i have. Hopefully the furniture will be going into the nursery this weekend, so I can then begin to wash next week. Also I can fetch my stuff from mums. I'll need to put the next2me together at some point (and the pram) and also wash the sheets, blankets, sleeping bags etc.

Growth scan tomorrow!

paintfairy · 18/05/2022 12:38

Oh I also forgot to say- bloody terrible on the sleeping front atm. And last night I had really awful dreams. 🙈 Woke up crying about an awful one I had about putting the dog to sleep. 😭
And I said to DH - have you actually told your HR department about paternity leave yet? No he says. So you've told no one other than your boss? And I'm assuming that wasn't in writing? No. Yeah. Less than 10 weeks to go. That sounds bright! I've been asking him for weeks to ask HR about paternity pay and if he even gets anything. So it's not like I haven't reminded him. I had to tell him to tell his bloody boss in the first place. 🙄 @bez91 another useless man example!

Minster2012 · 18/05/2022 15:26

@paintfairy that's really rubbish on DH, sometimes men are truly useless!! On the "things" to get, you def need a changing mat, we have several dotted around! Haakaa I've used mine since I came out of hospital, thermometer absolutely, car shades, yes I'd say so as it's summer, a ball I guess not necessary but I used one for the back pain from around where you are really so if you are fine then maybe leave it. I haven't used the bouncer or the nail clippers yet, baby monitor well I've used that already but obviously that makes me a terrible mother as I dared to have a shower when she was still asleep this morning. Earplugs I find these ones stay in better than the foam ones.

And never fear on the JD & Coke, I can report that I have had gin & it stills tastes amazing 🤩

Minster2012 · 18/05/2022 15:29

Oh and @paintfairy I've been pood on twice today & then weed on all in one nappy change, she pood as I moved the old nappy away, i our a new one under her & she started again then I moved that one (& the towel under her) & she weed. You couldn't write it!!

And you'll never the house in a timely fashion again I'm afraid 😳

DKDK123 · 18/05/2022 16:38

I did get around to typing a reply in the early hours of the morning but in my sleep deprived haze instead of hitting post I hit the back button and lost the lot 🤦‍♀️

@Juno231 they left the fibroid in, to take it out would have caused even more blood loss than I already had. Recovery this time round has been great. Don't get me wrong still the usual c section aches and pains and a bit limited in what I can do, but compared to last time around I feel 100% more alive so im not complining at all! Its probably because I only lost half the amount of blood this time, last time was 4.5l, this time was 2.5l but they also used the cell saver machine to pump my own blood back into me which I think has probably helped with me not feeling as bad. I really can't complain at all, I've been so lucky with everything this time.
Remember your feet will be more prone to swelling and fluid retention now so if you were on them at lot while you were out that could account for the cuts.

@bez91 how can you be so restrained only buying one thing off vitned. I need to stay off the app I keep ordering more clothes for DD and DS 🙈 I had a chuckle at the bed story 😂 I'm with you on the how the hell am I coping once DH goes back to work next week. Even with the 2 of us here we only made it to nursery on time one day out of the 3 this week 🙈

@Minster2012 we've been using these sleep wraps with a babygro and vest and light blanket tucked over which seems to be doing the trick. I'm lucky that she's definitely a baby that responds well to swaddling, touch wood it continues 🤞

@InkyPaper thats great that your brother has things to pass on to you, well I know its the crib but he'll probably have other things to pass on too that he's not told you yet 😂

@feliznavidad2 33 weeks, eek not long for you to go now, you'll be at that finish line
and onto sleepless nights before you know it 😁

@Lexber did the HV give any advice on the snuffles? DD is still very mucosy and congested from birth which isn't helping with feeding. What fab helpers you have at home, you've obviously raised them right 🥰

@Franklydear sorry to hear your body is messing you around again, did you ever make that doc appointment and demand help to understand what's going on with your body or do we need to nag you to look after yourself again? 🤔😉

@paintfairy our hospital had 2 different sized birthing balls in each room so maybe worth checking with your hospital save you taking one. Our hospital pillows were thin crap so I'd maybe take your own pillow for after you've given birth for comfort.

I made the most of DH having this week off to chauffer me around so we went into my work to say hi and show them baby. One of the kids looked at Emily, looked at my stomach and then said "So, I take it you're still having another one then?" Out of the mouth of babes as they say 🙈 The kids were all really sweet actually it was lovely.
Went to the hosptial today to drop off thank you gifts and got a bit teary leaving the ward knowing I'll be having no more babies 😢
Them went and got Emily registered, I didnt tell my mum we were using my Grans name as her middle name I kept it a surprise till I showed her the birth certificate and she burst into tears and kept saying thank you 🥰 so it's been a rather emotional day all round!

Franklydear · 18/05/2022 17:07

@DKDK123 you need to nag me, with ds, the dla appeal, my own illness and more test for me, periods have not been mentioned, but I can’t see my doctor either only the locum paramedic for urgent attention so I don’t see it happening either, not a conversation I want to have with the receptionist to past to triage either

paintfairy · 18/05/2022 19:04

@Minster2012 I honestly don't know how I'll remain married. 🤣 I find it irritating that they can only do one thing at a time. I ordered a changing mat today! I do have one a friend gave me already. Thanks for the earplug link- I'll order some. Yeah I wasn't sure if the hospital had balls- not sure how I find out though. I'm hoping my nhs online antenatal class might tell me some things as I feel I know nothing. I know i can order stuff still once the baby is here, its just I like to have it so as not to worry. Being pooed and weed on sounds great! 🤣 Who said this was going to be glamorous?! 🤭 To be honest at my baby class last night I was thinking i should have come here before I got pregnant. Because listening to this- i think I'd have changed my mind! 😱 I'm always annoyed DH is never ready to leave the house. I'll probably still be first, having got a baby ready too.
@DKDK123 makes sense as to why they left the fibroid. I am glad you are finding recovery better this time though. Crap hospital pillows? God. I use a memory foam one actually at home, so yes maybe I need to take mine. 🤣 Another baby in there. Kids eh? How lovely that it was a surprise for your mum, although I don't think I could have coped with how emotional that would have been! 😭

bez91 · 18/05/2022 19:11

@feliznavidad2 first taste of alcohol was good! I'm not a massive drinker since having DD anyway but I'd been craving something since being pregnant 😆 definitely not bossing anything just winging! I agree it's quite warm to be pregnant, keep going 💪🏼 and yayy to Mat leave!

Ahh your DD @Lexber that's lovely! Hope there was good news at the weigh in for the babies. You can definitely tell the difference just by picking them up can't you

@larrythelizard returns are one of the worst types of "life admin" I always put it off until the last minute!

@Juno231 sheepish? Oh no in true style it must have been my fault because I probably rushed him 😆 ouch maybe they're a little swollen with the heat too? I hate heels at the best of times

@paintfairy you're right - you can always tell the d-heads from the first message. I hate selling stuff on there but generally is the easiest place! The best bit of prep is washing all the baby clothes 🥰 not so much now, Z is on his 4th outfit change of the day after being quite sicky - that washing isn't fun 😆 maybe you're a natural looking angry pregnant lady which screams don't touch the bump 😂 I never got it either so I must be the same. Ball is a good buy, I used mine a lot at home in the last weeks for my posture and used it when in slow labour at home with DD. Frustrated with DH, how long is he planning on having off on paternity leave?

@DKDK123 you're not kidding! Everything just takes an age, an hour to feed, wind and change and try to occupy the other whilst being tied to a spot 😩 forgot how relentless it was 😆 glad your recovery id going well sounds like a super experience this time. I'm still rather bruised, need to check on the stitches later with a mirror 🙄

Managed to get out for lunch today with DH and Z which wasn't too hectic bar a projectile vom in the car on the way there 🤦🏼‍♀️ DH says we're going out tomorrow to a small farm park with both of them 😬 I think he's trying to help in me feeling less anxious with outings but I'd stay at home if I could.

Lexber · 18/05/2022 23:23

@DKDK123 no concerns of snuffles and I'm doing the right things and babies are thriving so not worried at all. Usual if anything changes see a dr but just said keep going with the saline nose drops as they work.

@bez91 they're both doing amazingly Elsie 6lb 4.5oz (birth weight 4lb 5.5oz) and Theo a whopping 8lb 1oz (birth weight 5lb 7oz) at a day off wks old 💖💙 HV (Claire who is lovely) was gobsmacked at the increase and how well they're doing especially as prem twins as they're classed as 1 week corrected age but both are so alert and strong especially holding heads up.

First bedtime story tonight - my favourite 💙 went down a storm and both asleep by end of it! (Theo had a change before we started as he was so excited he threw up in daddy 🤣🤣🤣)

Lexber · 19/05/2022 03:11

Awake since 1.45am for feed/bum change. So far the middle child has been throwing up (no school tomorrow for her and banished to her room - that's the final sickness hug member to go down!) and now I have a very chatty little lady who is telling me stories... a proper little Chatty Kathy 🤣(middle name Kathleen after my nana) her poor brother is fast asleep next to her in the crib and keeps making the odd noise as if to tell her to shut up haha but she's telling me all about it all, clearly wants to read me the bedtime story now 🤣🤣 oh and trying to stick her fingers up his nose...

Hopefully the rainforest white noise will make her sleepy before it makes me sleepy... 🤞🏼 she drops off soon and neither wake before 6or even 7am 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

larrythelizard · 19/05/2022 08:06

We're big gruffalo fans too @Lexber! Lovely that you have a chatty kathy although maybe not at 1.30!

Oh bless DH @bez91 it is the sort of thing that gets easier the more you do it but bloody scary for the first few times!

I'm not a fan of pregnancy @paintfairy and I knew that before attempting a second but I'm all in for the new baby!

Dramatic day for me with another crazy migraine whilst in a meeting in London - couldn't talk or anything and had to write my boss a note to explain what was going on yet my writing was pretty much unintelligible. Passed much quicker than the last one and not as severe but scary. Baby's movements have definitely lessened so going to call and go in for monitoring today, once nursery run is done and I've rescued my car from the station (DH ended up coming and getting me yesterday). Feel quite tearful and wobbly about it all and a bit embarrassed about work although I don't think most of them realised what had happened.

OP posts:
Juno231 · 19/05/2022 08:28

@larrythelizard bless you your migraines sound absolutely dreadful! I'm sure baby is just chilling but let us know how monitoring goes

28 weeks today/third trimester which is exciting. Sorry @paintfairy but I'm still loving being pregnant so far 😅

@Lexber your babes are doing so so well! Love that Elsie is a chatterbox already 😁

@bez91 haha how do we not just strangle our men 😅. I tried a different pair of shoes yesterday and yup - seems like my left foot is just too swollen to fit into them... I feel Birkenstocks are in my near future

Soph0105 · 19/05/2022 11:56

Hello! Took a bit of a MN break while I was away but will do my best to catch up now I'm back... getting my hair done today 💁🏼‍♀️

Had such a fun time away although was pretty hectic. A lot of running around to visit as many people as possible! But PTSD just loved the attention 😂 he's such a big flirt... took him into school with me yesterday for a visit and my old Y11 class passed him around. Didn't even flinch but did he dribble on a couple of blazers 😂

Loving the baby pictures @Lexber they're doing so well! Hope you got some sleep in the end.

Hope you're ok @larrythelizard sounds like you need to slow down a wee bit!

And congratulations on the third trimester @Juno231 my advice is to invest in some decent flip flops for the next 3 months. And don't look at your ankles until October or so 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Minster2012 · 19/05/2022 12:18

@Soph0105 I think PTSD sounds like such a charmer I wonder what he'll be when grows up? Prince Charming? The prime minister? A player??

My ankles & feet were ok but you def want things you can slip on not have to bend down to put on!! @Juno231 loving that you are still having a great time! Mine was easy til sciatica hit though j didn't specifically "enjoy it" cos of the worry

@larrythelizard Jesus that sounds so scary. I used to suffer awful migraines like that so I know the pain & honestly it renders you useless, I really think you should make sure you are at home as much as possible (are you still due to go on holiday???)

@bez91 I'm super proud of myself, this morning I managed to get X ready for school, all fed, Bronte & me fed & dressed prior to 8.30 when my dad came to take us to school & then me & B onto midwives...HOWEVER, I did drop X's crumpet on the floor, we had to go back (only from our gate) to get xander's school bag which I'd forgotten to pick up, then on way to midwife Bronte threw up (there was already a load of washing on including her sheets from a bit of sick) so that was the car seat being washed too 😝so you'll be fine next week!! Honest 🤪

@paintfairy one of the best tips I was told was take a couple of your own pillows AND make sure they aren't white covers, coloured ones to make it stand out they are yours (& to then help you remember to pick them up on the way out 😝) so I took purple pillows in.

@Franklydear we'll all nag you!

@DKDK123 I've only bought one thing off vinted too, however I have bought lots elsewhere so mehhhh!! Lovely on your mum finding out about gran's name

@Lexber chatty Kathy love it but yeah not at night, mind you Bronte thinks the night is THE time to bond. The weight that's bloody amazing well done!!

We had midwife this morning & TANNOY!! Bronte is now well over birth weight!! She's now 7lb 9oz (born 7lb 5.5oz then dropped to 6lb 2) so I'm REALLY pleased 😀 we don't have to wake her at night now can just let her wake up & wake us up which is great, along with just following her cues for feeding

God I'm watching britains best takeaway from last night & OMG it's making me hungry!!

My friend, her boy (xanders friend) & their baby coming over this afternoon. I've now got matching vests for the girls to match the boys after her boy wanted the same too as X previously so if it that for him now it's time for the girls to match!!

bez91 · 19/05/2022 12:35

Amazing @Lexber well done mummy & babies 🥰 we like the gruffalo too! Sherwood Pines near us always have a Julia Donaldson story theme trail on. It was the gruffalo and now Superworm, DD loved it so something to remember for when the twins are older.

@larrythelizard you're right! Feel much better as trip to the farm park was a success. A couple of ladies asked me how old Z was (11 days) they both said wow you're braver than me I was still in bed then. So I turned to DH and said "did you hear that" and told them I would be if it wasn't for DH dragging me out so nice to have a couple of strangers gang up on DH 😆
The migraine sounds bloody awful and scary! Hope you're now being seen for monitoring ❤️

@Juno231 love Birkenstocks, I just struggle if I have quite a distance to walk as find they give me cramp in the arches of my feet occasionally

@Minster2012 well done you for operation 2 children! I think we're gonna do a trial run tomorrow morning 😂 fantastic on the weight gain! We have weigh day tomorrow so hoping for much of the same although he is still quite a dot!

Vil10 · 19/05/2022 12:59

Thank you for all the advice and support on my growth scan, I feel so much more reassured since the scan! Got my delayed 28 week midwife appointment today because I was away last week when I was 28 weeks! Has anyone received their red book and have an appointment with their health visitor between 28-30 weeks? I was speaking to @kaylsd and she's had her red book through the post and a health visitor app soon, and it's making me worry because I haven't had my book and got a letter to say my health visitor app will be between 30-40 weeks, very confusing how it varies so much!! Also haven't experienced leaky boobs so hoping there is actually some milk in there as I do really want to BF🤞🏼
I think I have most baby essentials, just Moses basket to order, I know what I want im just waiting until we're in the house to order it! Picked up some paint samples for the nursery the other day too so that's exciting, however I'm starting to realise how close it's getting now with some women on here around a similar week to me talking about washing clothes and getting the nursery sorted etc, and we still aren't in the house😫😫 I'm hoping we're in by the time I'm 31 weeks, I really don't want to be moving in any later than that!!! We should hear more about a date before the end of this week, I just want to never deal with solicitors and estate agents again!! On a happier note, we have lasagne scan tomorrow!! OH, his mum and my mum are coming, however MIL is just awkward, I told her 5 weeks ago where the scan was, she isn't a very confident driver and doesn't know her way to anywhere, OH bought her a sat nav but she says it does her head in and stresses her out more, OH is coming straight from work so can't pick her up, I'm coming between work with my mum so sont have time to be picking her up and dropping her back off, but she hasn't bothered to even try and look herself how to get there, or use the sat nav or anything!! I said to OH I feel bad because I don't want her thinking we don't want her to come but I don't know what else to suggest, he said it's her own problem, so suppose that's that!

@Juno231 happy third trimester!! I'm also over here loving pregnancy still! Definitely grown bigger this last week and my back was a tad sore at the end of the day yesterday but can't complain!! So glad you're in the house now and can start thinking about baby things, I can't wait for that!! My ankles swelled on holiday then when I got off the plane from my ankles right up to above my knees were so so swollen, my ankles only went back to normal yesterday!! We have a few do's and events coming up and I've already told myself I'm not wearing heels, don't want my ankles ballooning again!!

@paintfairy deffo get yourself to Devon!! You'll love the break before the mayhem! Also I'm the same with sleep at the minute, I have a good few hours of deep sleep then wide awake at 5am!

@Franklydear sorry to hear af is teasing you!!

@Lexber your twins are adorable and so glad to hear how impressed the health visitor was with them!! And the gruffalo is definitely a firm favourite of mine too!! I'm adamant I want that, hungry caterpillar and bear hunt on my book shelves, they were my favourites as a child! Sorry to hear about the bug in the house, hopefully it passes soon!!

@larrythelizard Oh your migraines sound horrendous!! Really feel for you! Also good idea on getting monitored, I felt silly when I went last week but it's what they're there for, we need to keep an eye on those little babi's in there!

@bez91 🤣 I'm a natural looking angry lady full stop. Without being pregnant. 🤭 But yeah- i give off great 'piss off' vibes. 4th outfit change in a day? God i think I need more outfits then! 😱 I figured people would buy them though and I also got about 10 in newborn and 10 in 0-3 as I have no idea how big she'll come out. I can buy more when she turns up and I know, if needed. DH taking time off hinges on pay really. If he doesn't get any I'm not sure he'll afford much off at all! But he could take some as holiday to balance it out. Which is why I kept telling him to find out.
@larrythelizard Crap on the migraines. I had another on Tuesday. Luckily they do pass but my vision goes and i was out at the time! I had to drive home.
I've probably been lucky with pregnancy so far really. Nothing too horrific. Its after that I have the issue! @Juno231 other than being hot its fine. My feet are still OK even. It was how the hell its getting out and all the crap that comes after that, that doesn't sound very appealing at all. 🙈
@Soph0105 glad you enjoyed your time away! PTSD looks very cute in his photos.
@Minster2012 excellent news on Bronte's weight gain. Did the crumpet land face up? If so that's fine. I would have just carried on like it never happened. 🤭 And I've now ordered a haakaa, and ear plugs. I keep ticking things off.
@Lexber bed time stories sound cute!

I could not bloody get to sleep last night. Too hot and too irritable. Plus DH was back late and so bed time was slightly later than usual. So I think that didn't help. Was still awake at 1am with a partying baby too. I woke at 6am. Can't deal with the fact it's so light in a morning. I'm shattered. The good news is- the nursery will be finished by the weekend. I think the child might go blind though (we wanted to paint half and paper half and we've papered all, due to the walls, but I couldn't find any plain paper to match well to do half and half so we did it all in pattern). Too much pattern isn't my thing but I'm hoping we'll get away with it. Or the kid will never sleep due to being bedazzled...... 🤷‍♀️🤣
