@Vil10 jealous of your trip already!! And I'm so pleased your testing reassured @BellatrixK. We couldn't get the nuchal measurements for X either but we did NIPT instead as I'm so faulty we were worried! @BellatrixK I'm sure los progesterone was a factor for my MCs and getting that extra inside asap did the trick, happy to help. I've still got another lot in case anyone else needs it

@larrythelizard I'm not sure French food is wise when feeling dodgy tbh quite rich I'd say!

So midwife came yesterday & DD weighed again (she lost a fair bit last time so 2 days later) & she's lost more. Quite a bit now total 14.8%. She's now only 6lb 2 she was born at 7lb 5.5oz. It's usual for a loss of around 10% but then if you get a second loss you get monitored & at 15% it should be an automatic into hospital & onto formula to get her up. However the midwife is happy she's clinically well so we've avoided that but now got new feeding regime to fatten her up. So I'm feeding every 2 hours, breast then top up with formula. Stop expressing & feeding that, and smaller intervals. I'm pretty gutted it seems my boobs are more for show & not fit for purpose ffs, and I was shocked at how much she'd lost as I thought it was getting better. But nope. So we need to root now that little girl picks it up a bit 🤞🏻

I am up in the middle of the night too @Minster2012 although for no good reason, the formula top up will definitely help

@BellatrixK crap on the sonographer. Did they not at least get you to stand up and wiggle a bit? I had to for the 20 week one. It was late in the day so walking and going back wouldn't have happened (would have had to rebook) but she had to get me to wiggle on the bed and also stand up too. Luckily that worked. But for the most part it does seem like they can't be bothered with you and the whole nhs experience isn't great from my end so far. I've still no idea who you call/ what you do if you go into labour? 🤷‍♀️
@Minster2012 men are just twats. That's my take on it this morning, having had dh ranting and swearing at me about paint tray inserts being the wrong size. 🙄 He bought them like. I had literally just come down and still half asleep (I have never been a morning person). So that went down well...... And no, my kitchen table is far from clear! Maybe that's the problem. 🤭
I think your boobs do have a function! 🤣 It just sometimes takes time for the milk to come in properly. Also you can't really tell how much they are having (unlike with bottles). Formula is more fattening anyway (like for like) so also bear that in mind! It may well be you will be able to carry on just breast feeding once everything has settled down so don't worry yet! But then it really doesn't matter anyway, things never go to plan and whatever needs to happen is fine! Remember that.

I won't share all at this stage as not the best birth story 😆 massively overstimulated on the propess pessary and it had to come out after 4 hours as was immediately having contractions every 2 minutes but not dilating very quickly so contractions were mad. Been in surgery afterwards so just back on the ward with him having snuggles .

Well our last family day has been a flop so far, DS was up all night with his cold but didn't want me only his Daddy this time so DH is shattered too after being up all night with him. I've got DSs cold so I was feeling miserable all night coughing and sneezing so the 3 of us are a right tired grumpy trio this morn and not good company together today at all. 🙄

@Vil10 now I’m a bit less emotional, I’ve decided it’s fine. you really helped to reassure me. The odds are small of any of those issues anyway, and I’m sure the quad test will pick up what’s necessary.

@InkyPaper I’m having a blood test done instead in 2 weeks for the other test. I’m sure it’s fine though… now I’m less emotional!

@Minster2012 big boobs are a curse, I’ve decided this. Ask DH though and he’ll definitely disagree 😂. I’m sure she’ll do well with the formula top up, and then when she’s bigger and stronger she should be fine with breast milk, I’d assume? Those wellies are absolutely perfect. I want a pair!

We had the cutest time telling everyone this weekend. Our grandparents have all been adorable… and spreading the news around wider family. Still feels REALLY weird though to be assuming it’ll all be fine. I’m fighting the urge to say ‘If things go well’ or telling people that things might not be okay. It’s a hard habit to break!
