Thanks @Peauela glad your scan went well!!! So lovely to hear... on a side note has anyone started baby shopping yet?? Xx

Em85kk · 15/05/2022 08:02

@Sweetbabydust1989 yes! I’ve been getting bits of clothes in the sales. Still need to get so much! I'm after a new pram too as my old one is just too heavy I struggled to use it last time with my PGP.

amorningperson · 15/05/2022 08:15

I’ve been looking here and there at sale items which has been nice. We kept a lot from my. DC1 and I can’t wait to get into it and looking through it all and washing it 😂 my birth book said This month is the beginning of the biggest period of weight gain oh GOD aim already 10kg up 😳

Redapple21 · 15/05/2022 08:52

Yes @amorningperson I've been feeling like this this week! No real explanation, just feel moody and like everyone gets on my last nerve! Hope it passes soon.

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 15/05/2022 09:22

We've got most baby stuff from our first DD. We have had to buy a new cot as ours got damaged when we moved house. I've also bought a few new babygrows/ outfits because they are cute.

I'm taking DD1 shopping to pick a comforter for her new baby sister. I've also bought a couple of packs of dummies. Last time round I was adamant that no child of mine would have a dummy but they were a life saver when DD had reflux. This time they are coming to this hospital with me.

Sweetbabydust1989 · 15/05/2022 09:59

Oh lovely it was like 9 years ago since I had a little baby so I am going back to the beginning I don't no what to buy 😂 is it just sleep suits and vests I need at first September is such an awkward month as sometimes it's freezing sometimes it's hot xx

LittlemissMama67 · 15/05/2022 10:20

Anyone have high blood pressure? I do and I’m going out of my mind with worry about it.

Sweetbabydust1989 · 15/05/2022 11:07

What sizes are you all buying is it first size or 0-3 months I literally have no clue just trying to distract myself from all the accident business xx

I’ve got 13 newborn sleepsuit and 10 newborn vests.. and 20 0-3 sleepsuit and 20 0-3 vests and about 5/6 outfits in 0-3 and I’m gonna get a couple of pairs of leggings in 0-3.. it all depends on the size of the baby your expecting. I’m expecting this baby to be somewhere in the region of 6 pounds because her sister was 6lb 8 and I will be having this little girl earlier too due to a complication.. that being said by son was 8lb 12 and wouldn’t have gotten into newborn at all.

20viona · 15/05/2022 13:30

I'v hardly bought anything but Iv got tiny baby so far as my 5lb daughter was in that for about 6 weeks last time.

Sweetbabydust1989 · 15/05/2022 13:45

@LittlemissMama67 well my past experience was first son 4lb 7oz and my second son 6lb 7oz so never really huge not sure if it's different for girls.. my boys lived in just Sleepsuits and vests for ages never really bothered with the going out outfits but seen some cute little T-shirt and leggings sets which look nice and easy this is our first girl so all new to us in terms of clothing 🙈 both mine were born in spring/summer time so not sure on what this September will be like xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 15/05/2022 13:47

@20viona I had a 4lb 7oz baby boy and then I had a 6lb 7oz boy so pretty much dinky I was going to buy a mixture of newborn and 0-3 especially as I am not really buying pretty dresses etc yet just getting packs of sleep suits and vests really xx

LittlemissMama67 · 15/05/2022 13:56

I don’t bother with outfits either I’m quite happy to keep them in sleepsuit for the first few months but sometimes you see something and you think, oh go on then 😄

Sweetbabydust1989 · 15/05/2022 13:58

@LittlemissMama67 oh god this time round I want to buy everything girl stuff is so so pretty 😂 but I am limiting to a few sleep suits and vests for the time being I won't by bibs either just those cloth things as the bibs use to fall off after a while xx

stimpyyouidiot · 15/05/2022 15:01

My dd was 8lb3 so we didn't use any tiny baby stuff at all. I'll get a few newborn, but mostly 0-1 and 0-3

stimpyyouidiot · 15/05/2022 15:01

We picked up the next2me crib today which is exciting

Sweetbabydust1989 · 15/05/2022 15:06

@stimpyyouidiot I think will go for newborn and 0-3 to be on the safe side.. oh how lovely I haven't brought one thing yet just going to order some clothes was sure if 22 weeks was too early xx

stimpyyouidiot · 15/05/2022 15:58

I'm 24 weeks tomorrow and we just thought we'd get that and not worry about it anymore. We've got a pram on order but that's not coming until end of June. Dd was two weeks late so I'm not worried about him coming early!!

Sweetbabydust1989 · 15/05/2022 16:02

@stimpyyouidiot I am exactly 2 weeks behind you I am 22 weeks tomorrow.. I haven't even thought about anything lol I was going to order my pram in august and do the bigger things at the same time but do the little things now xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 15/05/2022 17:45

I buy everything of Shpock or Facebook market place. I would just buy a new mattress.

Sweetbabydust1989 · 15/05/2022 17:59

@TurquoiseDreamCatcher that's what I do lol I am just not sure on what to get now I saw the snuzpod 4 which looks nice but no idea what to get now xx

Em85kk · 15/05/2022 18:00

I’m going for 0-3 months and a couple first size/up to 1 month. I’ve got a few cute outfits but agree that they usually live in sleep suits. Going to get some sleep suits when I’ve got my girl stuff down from the loft as we did have a load of neutral in the small sizes. Looking at getting a Joie roomie glide I think, going to the baby show in a couple of weeks so hopefully get to look at some there. We had a wooden crib last time but she had bad reflux, this one you can prop up safely. I borrowed a Moses basket from my brother but I’ve heard like quite a few babies, wouldn’t sleep in it!

Sweetbabydust1989 · 15/05/2022 18:06

@Em85kk my son was the same he had reflux was a massive pain so I was thinking of one of these cribs as the tilt slightly just cannot decide xx

MummyToBe2022 · 15/05/2022 18:45

@Sweetbabydust1989 it's been 9 years for me too.
Literally having to start all over again.
I have only bought a next to me crib that I found second hand for £50

My list is so long but I'm hoping to get the nursery sorted next half term and then I can start buying.

We aren't finding out what we are having so all of our first clothes will be neutral x
