Is anyone feeling quite low lately? I've been having some really low days. I'm just laying in bed this afternoon hoping I snooze x

Prema112 · 22/04/2022 16:42

@unknownscot I am 🙋‍♀️ Very emotional, keep crying I think I just feel so exhausted and there's so much to do. Between work and looking after our son I never feel I have any time/energy for any baby prep stuff. Fitting baby stuff into our 2 bed flat has been really tricky and we are living in such a mess at the moment. We'll get there, just can't wait to finish work!

pregnancydiaries · 22/04/2022 17:11

Thanks ladies, resting up ♥️

@JAR1981 @4thtimethecharm thinking of you both xx

@PeeAche2 how's little princess doing? And how are you doing xx

Flowerbug1994 · 22/04/2022 17:26

@unknownscot @Prema112 ive had my fair share of the lows past couple of weeks aswell. Am 33 weeks today and I feel like up until 30 weeks of my pregnancy flew by buy my god have the last 3 weeks dragged 😭 am anxious over movement all the time am anxious if he turns or not (he’s breech) one day I want a section next I want to do it myself. Am all over the place of am honest. I can’t even decide on a Moses basket for downstairs am making out as if it’s a life or death decision he’ll probable in it for all of about 6 weeks 😂😂😂

fpeg · 22/04/2022 17:28

@unknownscot yep I've been really emotional over the last week, kept bursting into tears for no particular reason! OH kept asking me what's wrong and I'd just reply in tears that I didn't know but felt that I just needed to cry! I've felt a bit better over the last couple of days. An example of last week was that I got in the car to drive home after a lovely afternoon at my mum's and OH rang me and the moment I answered the phone I just burst into tears 😭 damn hormones have a lot to answer for!

C1ueless22 · 22/04/2022 18:21

@unknownscot I feeling low lately, I've never been the most patient of people and this pregnancy seems to be dragging on forever! I know I shouldn't be wishing the days until my due date away but I've had it with this pregnancy stuff. As @Flowerbug1994 says, the movement anxiety is getting to me, he barley moved yesterday but then today he ain't stopped!

I'm at home a lot and everywhere I look there's mess and things that need sorting but I'm so big and useless at the moment that I'm not able to do a lot without needing a rest!

@PeeAche2 huge congratulations on the birth of your daughter.

Prema112 · 22/04/2022 18:35

@C1ueless22 Exactly the same here- such a mess but I do one thing and need to rest for an hour!

Octoblockisadick · 22/04/2022 18:50

@unknownscot yep I'm very emotional too, kept randomly crying for no reason.
Think I may have had my first braxton hicks earlier, it was a strange feeling. A cross between baby stretching, a crampy feeling, and a bit like a ripple up my stomach from my hips up to the top somehow? I had a few of those feelings over an hour or so this morning.
No more leaking from me today, hope everything OK with you @JAR1981 .

Flowerbug1994 · 22/04/2022 19:05

@C1ueless22 the movement anxiety is real isn’t it !!! I doubt myself how long it’s been then I don’t want to count and clock watch cause they say don’t do that. My babs hasn’t got a pattern he changes daily and does whatever he wants. Am just trying to think positive and think We’ve done over 80% of it this is the home stretch !!! 7 weeks and counting 6 if I need a c section.

AlbatrossSociety · 22/04/2022 19:13

@JAR1981 @4thtimethecharm thinking of you both!

@unknownscot I'm also feeling low this evening although have generally been feeling alright. I caught sight of myself in the mirror from a funny angle and I just started crying because I just really didn't recognise myself. I just feel a lot of feelings and then quite overwhelmed and feel frustrated that body image issues are popping up now when my body is actually doing something so amazing!

4thtimethecharm · 22/04/2022 19:24

Thank you all for your kind messages, which really helped! I had a bit of a weak moment yesterday, where i just felt hugely overwhelmed.

We unfortunately could not stop labour, our baby son came this morning through emergency c-section and is now in nicu. We were a few days past 30 weeks. He is currently breathing by himself, and we will just wait and see how things go in the coming week. Relieved he made it out ok, gutted we could not give him a better start.

AlbatrossSociety · 22/04/2022 19:29

@4thtimethecharm feeling overwhelmed is absolutely not weakness, it would be mental if you didn't feel overwhelmed in such a difficult situation. Congratulations on the birth of your baby boy and you have given him nothing but the best and he is in the best place now and will get the best care. Imagine what you would say to anyone else in your situation, there's nothing 'better' you could have done, congratulations again mama!!

GrowBabyGrow · 22/04/2022 19:42

Congratulations @4thtimethecharm ! I couldn't have put it better than @AlbatrossSocietyI hope your son goes from strength to strength in the NICU Flowers

destiEos · 22/04/2022 19:48

@4thtimethecharm Congratulations! 🥳💕 He's here now, and breathing all by himself, you've done a bloody great job! How everything goes smoothly for you and the little one, you've earned a rest - be good to yourself.x

Vimto1991 · 22/04/2022 19:54

@4thtimethecharm huge congratulations on the birth of your baby boy. Hope you are feeling a bit better today, although I imagine still sore. I am crossing all my fingers and toes baby picks up health fast and can be at home with you as soon as he can.

Jammymare · 22/04/2022 19:54

Congratulations @4thtimethecharm Hope you’re not too sore and you and your little one recover quickly xx

Lostintranslatio · 22/04/2022 20:06

PlodandPod · 22/04/2022 21:06

@4thtimethecharm Congratulations xx

Octoblockisadick · 22/04/2022 21:08

@4thtimethecharm massive congratulations on your new baby! You couldn't have done any better, and it's very normal to be overwhelmed. It sounds like he's doing really well, and he's in the best place with the best people, nicu nurses are literally angels. Make sure you get a chance to rest and heal yourself too 💙
