@Magik8ball yeah, bending twisting and walking were the worst for me too. I hope yours improves soon! Re the section, it was a combination of pre existing medical conditions and my own preference :) consultant agreed with my decision being the most sensible, although would have supported a vaginal birth if it was really important to me (it wasn’t!)

@Beth262 glad to hear the bleeding has eased and they’re keeping an eye on you. Hopefully you can get some rest too and baby stays put a bit longer! X

Ems2208 · 28/05/2022 23:13

Hi- hope you’re all doing okay. Does anyone have an Audi A3? Looking for pram sets wondering what will fit in the boot.

mamaof2girls · 29/05/2022 07:13

Yeah am 27 weeks but don't know if it's cause my 3rd that my boobs are like this already or what. But the tiredness I can relate to I feel like all I do is yawn all day and could sleep all the time and don't want to do anything. I use to love a red bull before being pregnant so I defo can't wait to have one when I have this little one 😂😂😂

@Beth262 hope all is well and little one stays in there a little longer and you can get home soon! X

CoalCraft · 29/05/2022 14:26

What's everyone most looking forward to doing once their little ones are born? I mean the things that you can't or shouldn't do while pregnant?

For me the day I'm home from hospital I'm getting an absolutely massive Dominoes pizza with stuffed crust, extra cheese, the works - have had to limit cheese quite a bit as it makes me so constipated and that triggers contractions... But am dying for a pizza!!

fja · 29/05/2022 14:53

Hey, new here.
I'm due august 10th and am 29+4.
Has anyone had to have growth scans due to size of baby?
Baby is measuring on the 5th centile so having my second growth scan next week and then the following week will be seeing a consultant to review the scans.

I know the scans aren't reliable, my first born was supposed to be 8lb 9oz according to the scans but he came only 6 days early at 6lb 9oz.
I also suffer with high blood pressure and have to take aspirin daily to prevent pre eclampsia, I've noticed my blood pressure starting to rise so my midwife is seeing me weekly to do her checks.

I'm just about fed up now 🤣 please tell me I'm not the only one 😂

Mufflette · 29/05/2022 15:02

@CoalCraft great question! My DP is well briefed on my need for camembert and sancerre asap, and I also can't wait to be able to have a proper steak and not have to feel I need to apologise to our lovely local burger place for having to have mine well done 😄On the more healthy side, all the yoga poses I'm not allowed to do at the moment and being able to go for a long walk as I'm on consultant orders to not walk for too long after my cervical stitch!

Welcome @fja , I think all of us have some element of things we're fed up with! Mine are pretty much the things listed above... But we're on the home stretch now at least.

fja · 29/05/2022 15:05

@Mufflette
It'll definitely be worth it in the end but 37 weeks couldn't come quick enough!🤣

This is the best question! Also you deserve a medal for not being able to have Dominoes for so long, kudos. I cannot wait for you to have that stuffed crust.

I have a whole list of things I want once baby arrives: A sloe gin with soda water and lime, one cold pint of cider from the pub, a rare steak, pate on toast and - most importantly - A SLEEP ON MY BACK.

SquigsC · 29/05/2022 15:12

Oh, and I forgot, a proper, sweaty hot bath. I miss it so much.

beckybloomwood11 · 29/05/2022 16:26

@SquigsC yes a hot bath - can't wait! With a glass of wine! Definitely wine for me - especially when the weather is nice and in social situations! Also looking forward to sushi, pate and rare steak!

I'm 27 weeks tomorrow - feels like there's both no time left at all and still so long to go!

I too nominate this as best question. I don't do much normally that's on don't do while pregnant list, but I am looking forward to sleeping in whatever position i wish.

madeleine85 · 29/05/2022 18:43

Yes!! Back sleeping, sleeping through the night (friends newborn did that so I’m fooling myself into believing that may happen), or at least not getting up 5 times a night to pee, and a lovely charcuterie board, glass of wine and long hot bath 🎉❤️

We do!

We went for a Joie travel system deal - came with 2 different sized car seats, pram set with push chair attachment and rain covers.

Unknown6 · 29/05/2022 20:42

I don't have the same car but I also got the joie travel system. They do have a 4 week wait at the moment though (for delivery)

I'm looking forward to sleeping on my back and eating a steak. I'm also looking forward to exercises because I have had increased heart rate haven't been able to do much!

Omg has anyone else got bad gas at the moment 😳 😂

Brie
Rare Steak
Cocktails
Brie
Pastrami
Smoked salmon

squatternutbosh12 · 29/05/2022 23:33

I’m looking forward to
Rare steak
Chocolate (makes me sick currently)
Generally eating a full meal/more than a few mouthfuls of anything in one sitting! A nice restaurant meal out, or a giant takeaway. (The latter probably more likely with new baby!)

I agree, excellent question!

I’d quite like to go to sleep now but the young man is having an absolute rave in there, elbows and feet flailing. My bump looks like a bag of mad cats.

Oh, i forgot about chocolate! Right now that and fruit juice triggers my reflux like anything.

Magik8ball · 30/05/2022 08:01

I'm really looking forward to a nice steak too, a glass of wine or a drink in the sun...if we have any left by the time I can!😂
Being able to move without pain and sleeping on my front and back

Unknown6 · 30/05/2022 08:16

I missed gin off my list...Will definitely be looking forward to a gin lol

Beth262 · 30/05/2022 08:27

Such a good question! For me, a hot, hot bath that turns me into a lobster and pate on crumpets 🤤
And not worrying there will be blood when I go to the loo!

Hope you're all doing ok. I'm still here in limbo but he's continuing to cook for the time being. 30 weeks today. If I can get past the early hours, he'll have made longer than DS.

With you all on the sleep thing, though for me it's wanting to sleep flat on my belly - that's usually how I do it but there's something in the way at the moment! Am also looking forward to being able to just have tea/caffeine any time without having to think about whether I've had too much.

@squatternutbosh12 The 'bag of mad cats' comment really tickled me 😁

@Beth262 Glad little man is staying put for now xx

Am feeling a bit rough today after a pretty sleepless night. Had a couple contractions around 1:30 so had to stay awake to monitor them - they settled down thank goodness - but then DD started squeaking and didn't seem keen on going back to sleep herself so I had to kick DH awake to go and settle her, which took ages (she has a horrible cold and I think sore sinuses, poor dab), and by that time I just wasn't sleepy any more. Tired, yes, but not sleepy! Finally drifted back off to sleep about 5 am only to be woken at 6:30 by the alarm 🙁

Uch, gonna be a tough day.

ToCaden · 30/05/2022 09:51

@CoalCraft you have my sympathy. Good luck today. Sleepless nights feel much more difficult to deal with lately. My whole body seems to have a tantrum.

@Beth262 fingers crossed he stays put.

Cakecakecheese · 30/05/2022 10:09

Omg last night it felt like he was trying to escape! It was like a scene from Aliens. I'll need a nap later.

@Beth262 that's good you've got to 30 weeks, hoping he stays put for a while at least.

Mufflette · 30/05/2022 11:00

Good news @Beth262 hopefully there's a little competitive spirit in him to stay in longer than his brother!

Hospital trip this morning for me as I had a little bleeding. All seems fine though so I'm back home now and keeping fingers crossed that it stays that way - I did feel like I'd overdone it yesterday so will be doing lots of taking it even easier than I was already. Baby really doesn't like loud noises, his heartbeat shot up every time a machine beeped or the ward phone rang!

CoalCraft · 30/05/2022 12:42

@Mufflette That must have been scary, but glad all seems well xx

I think baby must have moved into a new position. I'm feeling just as many movements as before but in a different place in my tummy and more sort of jabs that smooth rolls. She was head-down so hope she hasn't turned herself over!
