I donโ€™t know when Iโ€™m due, Iโ€™ve not had a period since DS was born but I got 1-2 weeks on a Clearblue digi this morning which puts me sometime late October or early November (I think!)
Feels like Iโ€™m too far behind the October group but too early for a November oneโ€ฆ anyone due a similar time and want to join me? Would love to have some company ๐Ÿ˜Š

Amazing!!! The first ultrasound of the thread @bringonbaby3 ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—

DM1720 · 05/03/2022 17:10

@Bringonbaby3 amazing! Such a relief to have that first scan done! And itโ€™s so clear! You must be delighted!

Bringonbaby3 · 05/03/2022 17:36

Thank you all! Yes I felt super nervous before like it was an exam or something. Then it took her ages to show the screen (or what felt like ages anyway!) so my mind was imagining the worse. Huge relief to see the heartbeat with our own eyes though.

Have my booking appointment now in 12 days so thatโ€™s the next thing for me to count down too!

misslahx · 05/03/2022 18:55

@Bringonbaby3 how sweet!!! this makes me excited for my scan. Was yours internal?

GodspeedJune · 05/03/2022 19:29

Congratulations bringonbaby the scan looks great.

Iโ€™m feeling stressed ladies. Felt a gush earlier this afternoon and I have had some brown spotting. Can hardly see anything when wiping but definitely visible on a pantyliner. My periods normally start with brown spotting but I havenโ€™t had cramping yet.

Iโ€™m 6+1 today and have a scan at 7+4. I guess Iโ€™ll have to wait and see what happens next but Iโ€™m horribly anxious now.

CurbsideProphet · 05/03/2022 21:28

@GodspeedJune I've had brown discharge off and on since embryo transfer. My clinic are not concerned at all and say it's hormonal changes. I had one red bleed 8 days ago and again they said that so long as I'm not in lots of pain it is hormonal. I'm a week ahead of you. I know it's really hard. Mine is a bit worse if I'm sick. I think that as well as hormones it can be all of the shifting around that is happening inside.

Annny27 · 05/03/2022 21:33

@godspeedjune me too!!! 6+1 and had rhe tiniest bit of pink/brown tinged discharge (I would post a pic but dont want to trigger or gross people out haha)

I know it can be super normal as @curbsideprophet says. I have my scan in Monday so ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž

I just said a prayer and hoped that baby is just settling in ๐Ÿ’—

Annny27 · 05/03/2022 21:33

Also because of the spotting /tinged discharge I took my last clearblue which said 3+ so that's given me some relief

DogsAndBirds · 05/03/2022 21:35

Iโ€™ve also had spotting on and off for the past couple of weeks - trying so hard snot to worry about it and the early pregnancy unit didnโ€™t seem concerned. Clear blue digital still says 3+ weeks so thatโ€™s always reassuring.

GodspeedJune · 05/03/2022 21:41

Thank you CurbsideProphet itโ€™s reassuring to hear what your clinic have said. Yes itโ€™s really hard and such a worry. Iโ€™ve done my pessary the other way tonight incase my cervix is irritated but clutching at straws really as may not be that. Thanks for your message Flowers

GodspeedJune · 05/03/2022 21:49

Annny27 Sorry that youโ€™ve had some too but glad you have a scan on Monday. Honestly your photo wouldnโ€™t gross me out but I hope the scan can give reassurance! Thank you x

Sorry youโ€™re having the same too DogsAndBirds what a pain that a few of us have this added worry! Itโ€™s good that the EPU werenโ€™t worried and your test showed 3+. Ironically I did another FRER this morning and thought it looked fine, but in comparison to my previous couple the test line perhaps isnโ€™t as strong compared to the control - todayโ€™s test is at the top and the next one down is last Saturday. Hope that all continues well for you x

Oh my goodness so nice to see a little teeny baby. I have a scan booked at early years unit on Wednesday I'll be 6 weeks 2 days, well I hope anyway. Hopefully I'll see a little one as well.
My boobs have seems to calm down now, feel a little cranky and small excess saliva which is annoying, woke up at 3.30pm feeling terrible, sweats, nauseas, but took my meds and ok after!
How are everybody's symptoms?

Dreams2727 · 05/03/2022 22:56

Just from experience I find test lines get darker on these as time passes, so in a couple of days the recent one will likely be darker. Plus, I think it's the darkest to look at (the test line of the one at the top that is) Smile
DM1720 · 05/03/2022 22:56

Sorry to hear of all the spotting situations, I know it would freak me out too and Iโ€™d think the worst but it really is so common in early pregnancy. The tests still being so positive, or showing 3+ is definitely a good sign. Iโ€™m sure we all know of someone that bled in pregnancy and all was perfect ( I can think of 3 friends off the top of my head and Iโ€™m sure there are more!)
I had a very strange vomiting situation this evening. Not sure if itโ€™s the start of morning sickness?! I think it might be a bug. I felt cold all evening and then started feeling awful when I went to bedโ€ฆ so I got back out of bed, puked โ€ฆ a lotโ€ฆ and now I feel fine again! V.strange. I hope all is ok in there!

GodspeedJune · 05/03/2022 23:18

Thank you for the reply Dreams2727 I hadnโ€™t thought about the lines changing once the tests are a couple of days old.

This is true DM1720 my cousin had a heavy bleed and her son was fine. Just such a shock to find bleeding. Iโ€™d be inclined to think you could have a bit of a bug too, especially if being sick helped. Hope you feel much better by tomorrow.

Bringonbaby3 · 06/03/2022 05:31

@misslahx yes an internal scan! Not the most pleasant but it was okay. Worth it to get a good view.

Just some reassurance about tests, I used the internet cheapies and after about 5 weeks they didnโ€™t get any darker. They were never as dark as the control line and some days would look like theyโ€™d got lighterโ€ฆ.but thereโ€™s clearly a baby in there! So theyโ€™re not a perfect way of knowing whatโ€™s going on and lighter lines doesnโ€™t necessarily mean anything!

DogsAndBirds · 06/03/2022 07:37

My boobs also have calmed down - thank goodness as I have to wear a bra for work and wearing a bra was previously agony!

The nausea has started alongside excessive saliva and almost constant thirst (nausea is generally set off by smells.) Hoping it gets no worse as itโ€™s already getting me down a little.

Hjklasdfg · 06/03/2022 08:09

@DogsAndBirds Iโ€™ve found bralettes or non wired bras to be a saviour! Mine have got extremely sensitive that if I knock them itโ€™s a shock.

@Bringonbaby3 so glad the scan went okay itโ€™s a beautiful photo ๐Ÿฅฐ

@lilyj13 my main symptoms are exhaustion but it seems to be starting to calm down now or Iโ€™m getting used to it - keep waking up at 3am and Iโ€™m unable to get back to sleep. Just wanting to eat everything ๐Ÿ˜‚ and sore boobs/sore back.

Hope everyone is doing okay!

misslahx · 06/03/2022 08:13

Morning all! 6 weeks today ๐Ÿฅฐ

I haven't been wearing a bra to bed recently , whenever I get up first thing in the morning and stand up I am in pain from my boobs. They hurt so much when I first get up and are so sore so I think I'll have to start wearing a comfy bralette to bed. Has anyone else had this??

Hjklasdfg · 06/03/2022 08:29

@misslahx halfway through the first trimester!

Yeah Iโ€™ve had to wear bralettes with next to no padding as we naturally move a lot in bed it must irritate. Sainsburys have been my go to! As didnโ€™t want to spend a lot if theyโ€™re going to get bigger etc.

DM1720 · 06/03/2022 08:44

@misslahx yep you might as well invest in some sleep bras. Iโ€™ve been wearing one at night since I had my first baba. I breastfed both kids for nearly 2 years so Iโ€™m wearing really soft breastfeeding bras to bed ever since. H&M have nice ones. Couldnโ€™t be without them, the boobs never were quite the same after having babies!

misslahx · 06/03/2022 08:49

@Hjklasdfg @DM1720 thanks guys, I think I'll have to. Going to pop over to Morrisons and then sainsburys and I'll let you know! X

Springtime22 · 06/03/2022 08:55

Hi Everyone

Would love to join as I'm due 24th October. Very excited but nervously waiting for the first scan.

I already have a 14yo girl & 8yo boy. Can't wait to tell them after the scan all being well

DogsAndBirds · 06/03/2022 11:21

@Hjklasdfg I think my boobs are too big for a non-wired or bralet? Pre-pregnancy I was already a 32GG so need the support. I will have a look and see if I can see anything suitable though.

misslahx · 06/03/2022 11:30

I got some from tescos! I would recommend having a look in there as they had a wide range of different non wire bras ๐Ÿ™‚
