Oh @annie1994 that sounds horrible! Hope you feel better soon x

Bea14 · 27/11/2021 17:43

@feliznavidad2 Brilliant news on your scan, what a relief for you!

Cruz86 I won't tag you in case you are not wanting notifications on this thread but I just wanted to say I am so sorry to hear your terrible news. I hope your family are supporting you through this awful time.

Wow @missv556 look at all that snow, has it stayed?

@Coco9910 and @MrsCtobe91 I got my 3+ this week too, which is such a relief. It is nice to know things are still growing and changing. It is so hard to remain calm when you don't really know what it is going on inside your body. I just need to keep thinking positive.

Your sickness sounds awful @annie1994. Have they given you medication to take home that might help? It is rubbish you don't feel well again now.

I am enjoying all the early scan chat. I think I will get an early scan too but then I am also worried about having one and measuring smaller or not seeing a heartbeat etc. It is tricky working out the best time to do it. Our local place only do early scans on a Thursday or Sunday. I think I am going to need to have it at 7+5. I would rather wait until after 8 weeks but we get the keys to our new house on Thursday of that week and then on the Sunday of that week my husband is working. The next date would be the 23rd of December but we are away for Christmas. So it looks like 7+5 is the only time we can do it. Do you think that is too early?

feliznavidad2 · 27/11/2021 19:15

Thanks @Bea14 and welcome! I think 7+5 is fine, mine showed a gestational and yolk sac with a tiny wiggly bean with a heartbeat at 7+2.

All I talk about is food or nausea at the moment, having a Chinese takeaway tonight and I cannot wait! The nausea comes in great waves and then when it passes, I'm hungry... 🤔

feliznavidad2 · 27/11/2021 19:16

Ps sorry to hear that @annie1994 - are you on any anti-sickness medication? x

annie1994 · 27/11/2021 20:52

@SamanthaVimes @Bea14 @feliznavidad2 thank you ladies and yes I am on oral anti sickness (cyclizine and metoclopramide) but when I’m really bad (like yesterday) there is no way I can keep the tablets down for long enough to work which is why I needed to have it IV

Just ended up back in A&E because my 15mo tried to sit on top of a lunchbox (as you do!!) but fell off and smashed his face on the floor and cut his lip open 😳 luckily all ok now though👌🏼 x

Coco9910 · 27/11/2021 23:42

Booked my early scan today for 9+4 weeks but think I’m going to have to change it. I’m off to New York in a couple of weeks and my early scan is booked for the day after I land back (planning to do my day 2 test the day I landed with immediate results) but now the government have changed it to having to do a PCR test and isolate until a negative result, and I can’t guarantee that I would get my results quick enough so that I could go to my scan. So I’m thinking to move it a week earlier and go before I go away, so I would be 8+4, but I think will be 7+5 more realistically. Do you think between 7 and 8 weeks is a good enough time to be able to hopefully see the baby’s heartbeat?

@Capricorn8990 how exciting!! How long do you have to wait for that scan? How did it go telling your in laws?

@Bea14 yes I agree! So nice to think it’s been growing away nicely over the past week 🥰

@annie1994 oh no sorry to hear you have been suffering with sickness! I hope it starts to ease off a bit for you!

Lostintranslatio · 28/11/2021 06:46

In my previous pregnancy we waitid until 8w5d to have a scan and it turned out to be a MMC (stopped at 5w6d). So this time I did not want to wait that long in case it was bad news again. I booked a scan at 7w1d and we could see our little bean with a strong HB ❤️

9w4d and starting to get anxious about NIPT on Tuesday. Can't wait to see it again but nervous in case it is not going right. Crazy, I know 😅😅

missv556 · 28/11/2021 07:32

@Bea14 luckily it melted away by lunchtime for the most part.

Anyone concerned about going too early for the early scan, I saw my munchkin clear as day at 6 weeks with a good heartbeat so beyond that point you should definitely be able to see something

missv556 · 28/11/2021 07:33

This is my 6 week scan done last Saturday

@Lostintranslatio @missv556 ahh amazing thank you for the reassurance! I will contact the clinic and see if I can move it a week earlier. That is such a clear picture..bet it was so lovely to see 🥰

Suprima · 28/11/2021 08:31

Checking back into this thread. I’m 9 weeks but dating 9+3. I was scanned yesterday.

Heard heart beating for the 2nd time (heard at 6 weeks) but got to see little arms and legs kicking about and a head moving.

Feeling a bit less anxious but I know it will kick back in soon.

missv556 · 28/11/2021 08:56

@Coco9910 I'd been quite anxious before wondering if there was a baby in there at all haha but once I saw the baby appear I just felt a rush of love like never before even though there wasn't much to see

@Suprima oh wow I bet that was amazing to see. I cant wait for my next scan now to see how things have progressed. Still waiting on my letter to find out when my 12 week one will be. I measure at 7+1 from the private scan but midwife has me down as 8+6 so my scan maybe in 3 weeks or so 🤞🏾

Coco9910 · 28/11/2021 09:13

@missv556 yes I feel the same, I’m hoping to see the same as you 💕 thank you for sharing your experience!

Lostintranslatio · 28/11/2021 09:21

@Suprima it must have been so exciting ❤️❤️❤️

So far I have got my 12 weeks app at the hospital, but gp assured me I would be getting an appointment at hospital as well for blood tests, but nothing received so far 🙄 I'm based in IE

I unfortunately didn’t get to enjoy it properly as I was just sobbing and telling the sonographer ‘thank you!!’ like he had impregnated me himself.

I have my 12 week scan in just under 3 weeks so I am going to try my best to sit tight.

I have ordered a sneakpeak baby sex DNA test to give me something to wait for/think about.

Capricorn8990 · 28/11/2021 14:00

@Coco9910 I had a scan at 6w 3d due to pains in shoulder area, they saw everything as it should be and a flutter of a heartbeat!

Booked our scan for next Friday so I'll be 8w 5d 💕

We wrapped up a baby grow and a pregnancy test in white tissue paper and said we'd bought them an early present at a stall. We got it on camera and it was amazing!

I'm such a worrier so I just hope everything goes well. For everyone on here too xx

JJ1992 · 28/11/2021 16:15

Im feeling absolutely wiped out after a very busy week, not sure if its the beginning of pregnancy nausea but feel dizzy every time im on my feet, has anyone else had days like this? Trying to keep taking in plenty food and fluid and rest!

SamanthaVimes · 28/11/2021 16:42

@JJ1992

Yep I get really dizzy when pregnant. The only thing I found that helped last time was drinking lots of water and taking it easy. Before I worked this out I fainted a couple of times (luckily didn’t hurt myself on the way down!) but very inconvenient in the queue at subway! Blush

This time I’ve stashed little drinks cartons everywhere so if I feel wobbly I’ve got a drink to hand! Even more important I look after myself this time as I’ve got DD to chase after!

JJ1992 · 28/11/2021 16:46

That sounds a nightmare fainting in subway, and also trying to manage it while looking after a little one! We had an event at the weekednd and were quite involved in planning and prepping it so im hoping its just the backlog of tired catching up to me! Couldnt work feeling like this 🙁 did you have to take time off?

SamanthaVimes · 28/11/2021 17:13

@JJ1992 I did keep working but I have a sit down office job so it wasn’t too bad. I can’t pretend I was hugely productive though, luckily my boss was pretty good about it as he has 2 kids so gets it!

Coco9910 · 28/11/2021 19:33

@Capricorn8990 oh that’s lovely, and on video too, that will be so nice to watch back in the future. I’m really hoping we see a little baby growing and the heart beating away when we go for our scan. Hope your scan next Friday goes well!

kelsn96 · 29/11/2021 06:27

@Capricorn8990 hi! My scan is private as the NHS can't guarantee I'll be seen before Christmas. I'm also in panic mode now because my nausea has completely disappeared, well it makes a mild appearance if I'm hungry, I still have sore boobs and fatigue so trying to take that as a good sign xx

Effram · 29/11/2021 11:22

Hi all - sending lots of love to Cruz86 but again not tagging in case you're avoiding the thread.

@feliznavidad2 glad everything went well!

I get dizzy and faint easily too, my nausea has been worst afternoon/evenings and I just feel so ick by bed time but it's manageable I just need to not let myself get hungry or overeat... sometimes I'm not good at the balance! Have had a few moments when I've had to quickly get my head between my knees to avoid fainting too. I think it's due to the huge increase in blood in the body I remember ready. Another trick is to tense your bum really tight... makes the blood flow round your body quickly as the bum is such a big muscle, so it can get it up to you head too if you feel light headed. Had to use that on the tube a few times in previous pregnancies!

I had a scan at 6+3 and saw a heartbeat. 8 days until my harmony test and scan when I'll be 10+2, can't believe it's nearly here as when I booked it it felt ages off. Still having to call the hospital regularly to try and rearrange my 12 week scan, it's booked for Christmas Eve and we will be at my in-laws by then. Hospital is swamped though, they're already scanning Saturdays and Sundays and just have no space! The harmony test will include the checks they do at 12 week scan so that at least will make me feel a bit more comfortable if they end up moving the NHS one until after Christmas.

I am also starting to show already which is quite hilarious at 9 weeks... some friends guessed last week from the bump and I've seen other parents clock it when I do the nursery run so looking forward to not having to constantly breathe in so much...!

laurenGame · 29/11/2021 12:11

@Effram I'm 9 weeks tomorrow :) same here, my sickness gets bad in the afternoon and evening - I have to make sure I eat early as I'd be off food later in the eve.

Did the bean measure ok? Mine was measuring 7w6d and should've been 8w2d, I don't know I feel about it Confused

I've the same thing with NIPT scan and the 12 week one - I will be away so can't do the 12 week but will reply on NIPT for reassurance.

Thinking of you Cruz 💛

Lostintranslatio · 29/11/2021 12:23

@laurenGame I would not be concerned. It is only 3 days behind and they are measuring milímetros, it is easy to be a bit off the real measurement!

My nausea get awful in the evenings and nights, to the point that I am having issues to brush my teeth before bed because it makes me vomit 🤢 Only in the nights, during the day I have no issues brushing my teeth 😅
