Had my booking in app yesterday and unfortunately got told I’ll be high risk throughout the pregnancy. This is caused by me having Graves’ disease (now hypothyroidism after radioiodine therapy), and also unexplained palps that by the time I have my NHS app would have been a six month wait (January now!!). To say I’m gutted is an understatement :( I really hope I can sail through this pregnancy but my anxiety will flare up so much now.

Thanks guys. So good to have a bit of company last night. Bleeding stopped so didn't hit a&e, but I think it's over as I lost some big clots (sorry if tmi). Waiting for the EPU to call me back.

Big hugs to those having scans today. You'll rock this and my fingers are crossed for you all.

@RoseValleyRambles good to hear the bleeding has stopped. Did you have much pain? It could still be ok, hope you can get a scan ASAP x

@Vimto1991 Don’t panic, they only classify your risk so they can keep a closer eye on you and will monitor you more during pregnancy and birth. It doesn’t mean that things will go wrong. Xx

@RoseValleyRambles so sorry to read this, I have everything crossed for you. Clots don’t necessarily mean you’ve miscarried though, so don’t write it off yet. Xxx

I am joining those spotting too, folks. I am 7+5 now, and it started last week. I went to the Tommy's website, where they said to ask for progesterone, if you have a history of early pregnancy loss (see user name). I am now on progesterone pessaries and very much hope it will help.

I am keeping you in my thoughts @RoseValleyRambles, and am relieved to see your good news @unknownscot.

All is ok! I can't believe it?!? I've been spotting for over two weeks!!! Everything looks great and he can't see where the bleed is coming from?!
I cried in shock and relief. Thanks girls for all your wishes and those who prayed.

@Imhereforthecake you're officially my pregnancy buddy as we have the same symptoms and are both due the same week. 😂

Did they give any advice? Do you feel a bit unsettled not knowing why you're bleeding? Consultants bedside manner wasn't THE best, didn't go above and beyond to explain things to ease my anxieties. xx

I've spoken to the EPU and they've confirmed likely miscarriage. Little bird has probably flown. I've got an existing scan next Thursday, so they're going to use that to confirm.

Thanks for all your support guys. I'll pop back to let you know next week, and who knows, miracles still happen. But I was ok with not having kids before this surprise event, and I think I'll get back there, so I'm feeling sad but not shattered. Life is good, and I'm determined to make the most of it either way.

@beansprout55 i know . Nope all they said was no cause of bleeding seen and will rescan me in 2 weeks. It's really hard not knowing what's causing it. Just got told to 'take it easy'.

Lucky! @Imhereforthecake - I haven't been offered another scan.
Despite being under ARU to get pregnant, AND being seen twice by EPAU - he said I need to go to back to my GP to get referred to the hospital so I can start my antenatal - I'm in Jersey, a 10 min GP appointment is £50! Plus £15 for the referral letter! I'm not rich 😕 just for them to say, "take a seat, congratulations, I'll refer, goodbye" - thieves.

@RoseValleyRambles I feel heartbroken for you and so sorry you are going through this. I’m not sure of your circumstances but having been there before I promise you, you will come out stronger than ever from this and when/if the day does come where you decide to try again your resilience will get you there ♥️

@beansprout55 £50?!? Oh my god!! That's robbery! How much is a private scan? Mine was £59 when I had one.

@RoseValleyRambles im so sorry to read this. Ive been in your position this July except a missed miscarriage, its an awful time but remember to take care of yourself now first and foremost! Wishing you all the luck in the world when you're ready to try again xxx
