Massive fingers crossed for everyone with scans today, will be thinking of you all! I know it's not always helpful to hear but I do know lots of people who had spotting throughout first trimester and everything turned out okay - think about all those people who didn't know they were pregnant and assumed that the spotting was a period! Let us know how everything goes.

Is anyone else having the weirdest dreams at the moment!?!

laurenGame · 10/11/2021 10:15

@beansprout55 yes I felt in your messages today you're more worried, I was similar after brown spotting for days then seeing bright red blood again - my god the shock and anxiety hit me like a brick, so I can imagine how you're feeling 😔 yes once there is a heartbeat, baby is so much more established than before the heartbeat. It is stronger than ever before x

Let us know how you go and fingers crossed you get an app for today, but maybe for a peace of mind aim mentally for app for tomorrow?

DaimDillyDoo · 10/11/2021 11:01

@MrsNT Yes me... I was on Roaccutane which cleared my skin up now it's terrible. It makes you so self conscious Haloween Sad

DaimDillyDoo · 10/11/2021 11:02

Good luck for those with scans today Thanks

HWka · 10/11/2021 11:03

Good luck to all getting scans today! I agree I thought getting pregnant was the hard part!! Xxx

rathernotshare · 10/11/2021 11:05

Good luck to those with scans!

I finally have my booking appointment tomorrow at exactly 10 weeks. For those that have their 12 week scans booked, how far will you be when you have it? I was told mine will be booked tomorrow 🤞

AlbatrossSociety · 10/11/2021 11:09

@rathernotshare I got the letter for mine when I got my booking in appointment, I'll be 12+5. My booking in appointment isn't until 22nd November when I'll be 10+2

rathernotshare · 10/11/2021 11:13

@AlbatrossSociety I've not had any letters! I called them as I hadn't had a booking appointment and they booked that over the phone. Seems very off the cuff over here!

sunflower198 · 10/11/2021 11:19

@rathernotshare

My scan is on the 23rd Nov, according to app I'll be 12w6d. With my first pregnancy my due date was put back a week as my cycles are longer than what the NHS use to predict dates - so fully expecting that to happen again!
AlbatrossSociety · 10/11/2021 11:19

@rathernotshare it's all a bit odd, they're so blasé about it and I'm just thinking - hang on this is a really big deal isn't it!? Why isn't this a bigger deal!?

I filled out an online form and then got two letters in the post with details of the booking in appt and scan. I couldn't make the original booking in appt so called to rearrange. I'm not going to my local hospital due to bad experiences in the past so I'm a bit worried I'll slip through the cracks!

Actually feel a bit nervous wondering how everyone's scans were!

MrsNT · 10/11/2021 11:20

@daimdillydoo yes i was on same. Never want to go back on it. I hope it clears by itself. Ive been using frankincense essential oil. Its the only thing thats helping. I checked..its safe to use. And i dont want to use chemical products at the moment.

rathernotshare · 10/11/2021 11:34

I got dated 1 or 2 days ahead at my 8 week private scan so I hope they aren't counting on me being earlier than I think 😂 I also can't do any dates between week 13-14 as I'm away so I do actually need it between 12-13 weeks!

Pandamama88 · 10/11/2021 11:45

My 12 week scan is next Friday. I had a private scan at 8 weeks, little bean with a heartbeat. Looking forward to seeing something more baby shaped next week.

Wellthiswasunexpected · 10/11/2021 11:46

Hey all,

Turns out I do have a pregnancy symptom - antenatal depression… Didn’t even know it existed until it happened to me. So have been a bit quiet. Has anyone else has experienced it?

But I hope everyone is doing well and to those of you (so many!) with imminent scans, keeping my fingers crossed and wish you all the best :)

CurryandSnuggle · 10/11/2021 11:49

Great news, I had my scan and there is still a heart beat. Again they weren’t able to tell me why I was bleeding but nothing untoward on scan. They said bleeding is not normal but it is common and some women experience bleeding throughout their pregnancies for no apparent reasons. He said as there’s a heartbeat and I am so close to 12 weeks, rush of miscarriage now is tiny. I have my 12 week scan next Thursday which will offer me even more reassurance!! But feeling very positive now even if there’s more bleeding. Looking like a due date of 5th June based on measurements (which tallies with NHS due date calculator!!!), but he said I’ll have confirmation at my 12 week scan.

CurryandSnuggle · 10/11/2021 11:49

*risk of miscarriage

beansprout55 · 10/11/2021 11:57

Oh @CurryandSnuggle I'm so so so happy and relieved for you!! (And for selfish reasons your good news gives me some reassurance about my bleeding)
You must be so relieved. The anxiety is unbearable I know. Congrats xxx

rathernotshare · 10/11/2021 11:58

@Wellthiswasunexpected sorry to hear that! I know it's a thing as I suspect I may have it and will discuss with the midwife tomorrow.... apparently if you have a history of it, pregnancy can make it rear it's head. I have had some awful thoughts the past few weeks. You're not alone 💐

@CurryandSnuggle congratulations! Fab news 💕

Imhereforthecake · 10/11/2021 11:59

I've had my scan - amazed to say everything looks good!
Strong heartbeat. Dating me at 7+3.
They are rescanning me in 2 weeks due to the ongoing bleeding - but couldn't see any evidence of bleeding on the scan.

TinyTickler · 10/11/2021 12:05

@CurryandSnuggle I'm
So happy for you x

TinyTickler · 10/11/2021 12:06

@Imhereforthecake and for you too! Gosh what good news on this group today x

unknownscot · 10/11/2021 12:07

@rathernotshare
I have my first scan tomorrow 8+1 due to ivf and then my booking appt is 24th Nov at 10 weeks exactly, my scan is 12+6!

X

PeeAche · 10/11/2021 12:20

Hi ladies, how is everyone getting along? @CurryandSnuggle I am so so relieved for you. And, in a really selfish way, I'm glad you aren't going anywhere. I've become very attached to this group and the thought of any of us having to disembark the Due June 2022 train now fills me with sadness. I'm having a very lonely pregnancy in general, because I haven't told anyone.

Which does lead me to my next point? How excited are your partners? I have to say, mine is not very excited. My first scan is in a few days and DH just said he was "bored" of talking about it. When I update him on daily progress, he looks at me like I'm talking about turning the compost heap. He's also said he won't allow himself to feel good about this until baby is viable. I thought he meant 12 weeks, but he meant more like 30!!! He meant viable as an out-of-womb human! 🤦🏻‍♀️

He's not usually like this. And I know we've had a few miscarriages. But urgh.

@Wellthiswasunexpected I'm sorry to hear about your antenatal depression.

@DaimDillyDoo im currently on Cyclizine.

rathernotshare · 10/11/2021 12:26

@PeeAche husband is also not overly excited, or at least not showing it outwardly. We have been trying for 2 years and this is our first pregnancy so we both feel a bit 'can't happen first time'. It's so common, he doesn't see how we could possibly have a living child without having had a loss first. Found out my neighbour is due the same time as me and she said it didn't sink in for her husband with their first until their son was born, and then he just cried and cried!

PeeAche · 10/11/2021 12:31

My DH already has 2 children from a previous marriage so I wonder if it really means the same to him as me. The stakes are a lot lower, for a start.

I also spend a lot of time fretting that his ex was "better" at pregnancy than me. She was about 10 years younger. No MCs. I realise this is silly.

Can he really go until I'm about to give birth being this checked out?
