Anyone else got a + tests lately I got mine yesterday and then another today. Got a few more test to doing over the next week to see if they get darker.

Hope to have some more July ladies join me there is a few of us on the June thread and Facebook group already I'll try to tag you ladies Xxx

Hey Ladies,

I'm 5 weeks today but woken up with dark brown discharge in my knickers and when I wipe. I've also got quite a lot of pressure in my lower back. I'm really hoping this isn't the start of a MC, this would be my 3rd this year Sad Has anyone else ever had bleeding/discharge around this time and it been ok? Just feel like I need to hear all the positive stories right now. Thanks in advance x

laurenGame · 04/11/2021 07:18

@Trinxsy I had the same yest but more than spotting and blood was fresh and red, I'm 5+5.
The problem is that drs can't tell straight away whether it's ok, or bad news, because it's so early in the pregnancy. They can't hear a heartbeat yet. So you have to wait and wait which is agonising.
I would advise to get HCG levels checked ASAP, then you can measure them again in 2 days - if they've doubled then you're good. If they've declined then most likely a miscarriage. This is the fastest way to see if you're okay after a bleed.
I had mine checked yest they're at 19,000, checking them again tomorrow fingers crossed they've doubled 🤞

Good luck, did you get the same bleed with your previous miscarriages? X

Sorry was meant to tag @Tinypeanut1224 Grin

Elsols93 · 04/11/2021 07:45

@laurenGame & @Tinypeanut1224 hoping you both have positive outcomes ❤️

I had brown discharge at 5 or 6 weeks with my first and was good xx

Tinypeanut1224 · 04/11/2021 08:11

@laurenGame - Thanks so much for you reply. Yeah I had spotting before my previous MCs so that's why I'm worrying. That being said I do also have heavy implantation bleeding - this time it lasted almost a week before I got my BFP so I'm hoping I'm just a 'bleedy' person - is that a thing?!

How are you getting your HCG checked? At your GP or the EPU. My GP are useless when it comes to early pregnancy and they fob you off because it's so early. I may just call the EPU and see what they say? Both previous times they've been so kind and helpful.

laurenGame · 04/11/2021 08:15

Thanks @Elsols93 🙏🏻 mine is bleeding though and bright red, which sounds like a lot worse than discharge .
But just seeing how I go, it is what it is Smile

Cruz86 · 04/11/2021 08:24

@Trinxsy so glad to hear your hcg levels were good!! Hope the scan on Sunday goes well too.

@laurenGame sorry to hear you've had bleeding. I haven't experienced that myself but I've read so much about it (in many of my frantic Google searches) and I've only ever read positive things about how it hasn't affected the pregnancy but you just need to take it a little easier. So from what I've read, it shouldn't be anything to worry about! Have they asked you to come back for another scan in a week or so where they should see a heartbeat?

@Tinypeanut1224 any sort of spotting is worrying when you see it but they normally say if it's brown then less so. If it were me, I'd just phone my gp 1) for reassurance and 2) to see if they can get you an early scan.

Elsols93 · 04/11/2021 08:25

Sorry @laurenGame I miss read your message half asleep, really hope you get your answers you need and your hcg results come back raging xxx

Tinypeanut1224 · 04/11/2021 08:55

@Cruz86 - Thanks for your reply. I've called my local EPU (My GP are awful when it comes to early pregnancy) and they're having a nurse ring me back at some point today.

@laurenGame - Hope you're ok love and you get some answers soon!

My bleeding this morning was more browny/red and now its just dark brown? Not sure if thats a good thing or not but the pressure in my lower back is getting worse. God it's all so emotionally exhausting isn't it? Hope all you other ladies are doing ok and your babies aren't giving you as much worry! xxx

bagelcreamcheese · 04/11/2021 09:30

@Tinypeanut1224 @laurenGame hi both sorry you're going through this anxiety! I've had brown spotting for the last 4 days and was terrified because that's how my miscarriage began in Aug, but my midwife referred me to EPAU so got a scan and got to see the teeny little yolk sac (too early to see actual baby but more than I ever saw with my first pregnancy!) and they could see the bleeding in the womb which was apparently just from implantation (I think I too am just very bleedy!) so waiting on bloods but feeling more reassured. They're really good at the EPAU I recommend getting yourself there. But also if you can't for any reason, medichecks can send you a do at home blood test for HCG and progesterone.. crossing fingers and toes for you both

laurenGame · 04/11/2021 09:38

@Tinypeanut1224 I asked my GP for HCG levels and he wrote a referral for it, and wrote 'urgent' so I get results few hours after the test 🤞 I'm in Australia so they refer for anything you ask.
Some GPS can be lazy though and look through you like you're not even there 😂 In those cases I know exactly what tests/referrals to ask cos otherwise they would just tell me to 'see how I go'.
💯 cal epu. I called everyone: ambulance, GP, obstetrician. It's my first bad bleed though so I might be calmer after Grin let us know how you go with the EPU x

laurenGame · 04/11/2021 09:41

Thanks @Cruz86 yep seeing an obstetrician in a week to get that heartbeat heard if there is one!
My OP is convinced that it's the sex that's brought on the bleeding.
So I can't have alcohol, coffee, sushi, and now sex?! 🤣 has anyone else been telling their partner how good they have it and the woman has to give up so much? Grin

Lostintranslatio · 04/11/2021 09:48

Hello! I am 6+1 and my due date is 30th June. I had a MMC back in May and I am terrified of having to go through the same again 😞 I have a scan booked for next week, I hope they can see sth then 🤞

annie1994 · 04/11/2021 10:24

@laurenGame 100%!! I always say to my partner he has it so easy. His response is always ‘I have to deal with you’ I mean it’s a good point 😂 my hormones are making me have such bad mood swings!! Never had this with my DS. I’m slightly jealous that he will be able to have a drink at Christmas and NYE!!

Trinxsy · 04/11/2021 11:31

@laurenGame

Thanks *@Trinxsy* did you do anything different after diagnosis? Bed rest/no sex/no exercise? It's terrifying seeing blood and my Dr didn't advise anything 🤷‍♀️
Not at all! I just carried on as normal. Granted, I wasn't going crazy anyway but I didn't change anything about my activities like sex, bed rest etc. I was just told it would continue to pass and not to worry!
chitter87 · 04/11/2021 22:01

Ladies, is a dye stealer test actually a 'thing'? What does it mean? 🤷‍♀️ I'm only 4w4d, so vert early still!

feliznavidad2 · 05/11/2021 05:18

Anyone else experiencing insomnia? I keep going to bed really early as shattered and then wake up at half 4 ready for anything. 😆

I believe it's when the test line goes darker than the control line. Like this.
Due July 2022

Ps, not my test! Just a random Google image.
gezelligheid · 05/11/2021 08:51

Hello everyone! Found out yesterday I'm pregnant, my estimated due date is 12th July but obviously will more than likely change at the scan.

I just wanna shout it from the rooftops but I'm a bit cautious due to a loss last year. At what point should I make my first appointment with the midwife do you reckon?

missv556 · 05/11/2021 08:55

Hi everyone. Total newbie here although I've been a long time lurker while ttc lol. Joining as I got my bfp at 11dpo on Wednesday. Due date is estimated 16 July. I'm 3+6 today so very early still. Total relate to the early morning waking! Annoying as hell, been waking around 5am. Not had too many symptoms yet apart from a near constant low level headache and loss of appetite. Had half a baguette yesterday and my belly felt like it had eaten a 3 course meal 😂 still a bit in disbelief about it all and slight anxiety about how early I am still but trying to just relax and enjoy the experience

Skips32 · 05/11/2021 09:13

Hi everyone!

Hopefully I can tag on to this thread - 5 weeks pregnant today so due in July. Had a miscarriage previously so fingers crossed this one sticks!!

Time has dragged so much since I got my BFP (last Saturday haha). Called my local midwife hub and they will get in touch to arrange my first appt at about 8 weeks. Hopefully I will get my scan date confirmed as well then I guess?

crazyhairbear · 05/11/2021 10:35

Hi ladies,

Can I join please, got my BFP on Sunday. First pregnancy, worrying as it's still really early but got everything crossed. Spoke to my GP surgery this morning and they have referred me to the community midwife (I thought I'd have to see the GP/nurse to have it confirmed) they just said that the midwife would be in touch but they don't know how long it will take???

Hi there!

Congratulations ☺️ I called my GP on Monday who gave me the number to the midwife hub at my local hospital. I called them and they took my details and said it would be passed on to the community midwife at my GP Surgery who would be in touch at about 8 weeks to book in my appointment. Might be a different process where you are, but I think the 8 week mark is the norm for your first contact.

Effram · 05/11/2021 11:14

Hi everyone, it's been a few days. @laurenGame @Tinypeanut1224 hope you're both doing ok?

Congrats @crazyhairbear @Skips32 @missv556 @gezelligheid

All ok here, was my son's birthday and busy work week but still feels like the days are ticking so slowly, in my head I'm at least 6 weeks already but in reality I think about about 5+3 haha! 10 days until booking appt.
