9 weeks pregnant spotting..

Morning ladies,

I'm hoping that maybe you can reassure me a little. I had pink spotting at 5 weeks. Epu scanned me and again at 6 weeks. They saw the heartbeat and all was fine. Fast forward to 9 weeks. Pink, brown, once dark red spotting. Only when wiping and once every day or so. Epu wont scan me again and said that it's probably due to sensitive cervix. My midwife said it's a common thing and probably all fine.

I have a history of 2 mc but also 2 healthy babies. So any sight of blood freaks me out.

Please can you reassure me it's not always a bad thing?

It seems like if I rest then no spotting. If I am more active then i will spot for an hour. Does anyone else have sensitive cervix and have this issue?? Xx

I'm only 7 weeks but about a week or so ago I had very light spotting a couple after DTD. Could it have been something like that?

I havent dtd lately.. been a bit scared since spotting. Did yours stop??

If I remember correctly I spotted one day, next day nothing, then spotted again following day. Haven't had any since. It is definitely very normal to spot though. Especially, like you say, it does it when you've been active. If it was anything bad, it wouldn't stop when you were resting.

Am almost 8 weeks and am spotting too. Also had one mc in the past. It was pink and brownish but now it has blood too. Yet only happens when i wipe . Doesnt even show on a penty liner.

@MariamNasir yes same here. Just when I wipe. Tonight it was like dark rusty brown colour which scared me. Now just sort of light pinky orange. I have had a very busy day cleaning and up and down the stairs and lifting my 2 yo ds who's poorly. So maybe it's just that... still really worrying xx

@Snoopy28x no i dont have any pain. No cramps or anything. I dont have any kids so am on complete bed rest yet this discharge doesnt stop or reduce.

@Snoopy28x btw did you have the mc before having any babies ? And during your successful pregnancies was there any discharge?

@MariamNasir I had successful pregnancy with my 1st. 2nd mc at 11 weeks. 3rd successful. 4th mc again 11 weeks.

I didnt have any discharge or bleeding with my successful pregnancies. Which is why it worries me. Trying to rest isnt really working. My ds is really poorly so up all night with him the last few nights. Due to go away for the weekend tomorrow. Just checked if we can move it but it's full now. So thinking of booking a private scan today to know for sure what's happening x

@MariamNasir how are you doing today? I've got back ache today but had that all along. So far no more spotting since last night. I must have got up 4 or 5 times in the night to check..

I cant get a private scan until monday at the earliest. So just going to see how I am over the weekend and then see about maybe booking one. But by then it's only 2 weeks until my dating scan x

@MariamNasir I've got a scan at the epu tomorrow at 12. Maybe you could ring your epu and get checked out to xx

Well today the spotting started again for me, still brown (and only when wiping). I had one period like cramp, lasting a few seconds this morning. Nothing since. I go from being calm to worrying a lot so hard not to isn't it!

@Trinacham it's so hard isnt it. I'm the same. Constantly in the toilet bracing myself to look at the toilet paper! I've a little spotting first thing but nothing since. Tried to take it really easy today. Really nervous for my scan tomorrow.. xx

Wishing you lots of luck. I've had an early scan booked for a while, which is when I'm a day short of 8 weeks (next Wednesday). Can't come quick enough! I will be so nervous but hope we both get the reassurance we need!

@Trinacham me to. I still have symptoms as in sore boobs, exhausted, queasy some times hungry and peeing all the time and super bloated by the end of the day. Then I guess that's not always a guarantee either.

Good luck with your scan. Do keep me updated on how your doing wont you. Its nice to know I'm not alone in this. Although I wouldn't wish this on anyone xx

@Trinacham just had a small gush of red blood.. not feeling hopefully. Came down and cried on Dh. After my dc2 I didnt want any more babies because I couldnt go through another mc. Then I got pregnant while on birth control.. dh has said he will have a vasectomy as I really can't go through this again and I dont trust birth control x

It is a lot of stress and worry isn't it. I never knew it would be so worrying for me! I thought I'd get pregnant then be excited through it all.. but there's so many other emotions I wasn't prepared for.
I'm still wishing it's not the end for you. I know it's hard to stay positive though and hard not to expect that it's a sign of the worst.

@Trinacham my 1st the thought never crossed my mind that something would go wrong and it didnt. So when I was pregnant with my 2nd again I didnt think anything other than being happy.. that ended in a mc. Since then pregnancy has been really scary and emotional for me. I'm not happy until they are in my arms.

I've just got light spotting now, very light. So who knows what's going on x

@Snoopy28x its really sad to hear about anyone’s mc. But you do have successfully pregnancies so just dont loose hope with this one and everything will turn out good !

I do think that maybe any sort of discharge is a bad sign though. Idk am just too heartbroken at the moment.
I just got back from my scan and there isnt any heartbeat. Also the growth stopped at 5 weeks 6 says while i am 7weeks and 5days pregnant. Also my hcg is too low. Its just 4900. My doc said that the pregnancy will terminate on its own or maybe they will write me a medicine. Am sad coz its my 2nd mc and i dont have any kids yets.

@MariamNasir I am so sorry... sending you massive hugs. I hope this next stage passes quickly for you so you can come to terms with things.

@Snoopy28x thankyou so much. It hurts a lot when something like this happens coz i have been planning a lot for the baby. And yeah hopefully i will have one someday. My mom always says that if God takes away something from us so he gives back something much better. Am simply holding on to this believe and hopefully i will see my baby in future.

I feel for everyone who has had a miscarriage.

I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and I've already had a miscarriage at 8 weeks last Feb 2021.

I've started spotting a brown discharge last Sunday up until today. I am also having light cramps as I type these words.

I have no kids yet and I am praying so hard to become a momma one day.

Anyone else on their first trimester and experiencing some spotting and cramping?

@MariamNasir well.. mine was not good news either. They said they needed to do an internal because I was alot smaller than expected.. then couldnt find the fetal pole. Said that the baby must have stopped growing after my 6 week scan but my body hasnt realised. They said it's just an empty sac now so my body has absorbed the baby

I cant get my head round that there has been no baby for 4 weeks. I've been bleeding a bit more today. I just hope this stage is over soon.

I am just so thankful I have been lucky enough to be blessed with my 2 babies.
