Hi everyone. Ended up coming down to admissions this afternoon as movements still hadn't improved much. Of course when they put monitoring machine on me she was kicking away.. Makes you look stupid lol.

Back out waiting again as midwife said they may want to scan me as due to get growth scans anyway from next week as I have a 2 vessel cord so they will just check her growth from today

AdventuresAwait · 18/06/2021 18:57

Glad you got checked out @Hopefulmummie and glad she's kicking away now!

MrsTD88 · 18/06/2021 19:19

@SillyBry it is so difficult isn't it and they grow so quickly I'm not quite sure when to get all of the school uniform, especially the shoes! Thank you, she is so looking forward to it. I gave away all our baby clothes to my sister as she had a girl 10 months after us, feel so disorganised when it comes to clothes but luckily we kept all the big stuff from our daughter so that's a massive saving.

@Hopefulmummie glad baby is moving about and tracing is all good. That's good they're keeping an eye on things too.

CherLW · 18/06/2021 20:24

Just got back from MAU… I went with reduced movements. They said everything was fine and looking good which was a relief!! But because I’ve been to MAU 2 times in under 2 weeks for reduced movements they have booked me in for a growth scan which is Tuesday coming. They have also booked me in daily monitoring CTG’s until Tuesday! I feel really worried about it but she also said if I was happy with the movements on one of the days then I should phone to cancel… just want to keep an eye until the growth scan.
I feel like I’ve had a right week this week, finding out I’ve got GD, daily blood tests, my Covid jab, reduced movements today and then daily appointments until scan Tuesday 😞 feeling very sorry for myself

AdventuresAwait · 18/06/2021 20:33

Sorry to hear that @CherLW, but so glad things were fine when you went to the MAU. And it's good that they're keeping a close eye on you. Sorry you've had a rough week. Sending a hug x

Hopefulmummie · 18/06/2021 20:33

I'm just home after they scanned me and baby is lying breech. She was lying across when I was at antenatal on Tuesday so she's moved which explains different movements. All measuring ok.

Sorry to hear @CherLW as long as everything was OK and it's good they are keeping an eye on you x

CherLW · 18/06/2021 20:37

Thanks @AdventuresAwait @Hopefulmummie I appreciate the messages ❤️. She said it will keep my mind at rest too and there was nothing that flagged up at being a problem. Just want it to be Tuesday now so I can see him and make sure he’s doing ok x

CherLW · 18/06/2021 20:40

@Hopefulmummie glad to hear everything is ok and measurements are all good xx

Kirky658 · 18/06/2021 20:51

@cherlw @hopefulmummie glad everything is OK for you both. Glad they're keeping an eye on you both

AdventuresAwait · 18/06/2021 20:58

@Hopefulmummie, midwife said my little one was breech today and she was definitely head down for the scan on Wednesday. Apparently they can change positions a lot at this point but it surprised me! Glad all is ok x

bewitchingnight · 18/06/2021 21:10

Glad everything was looking good @Hopefulmummie .. sounds like you've both had worrying days @CherLW hope you're both feeling ok

Newmum110 · 18/06/2021 21:16

@SillyBry the exact same thing happened for me with the baby clothes. I knew I would never have put them away in that state. I washed at 60 degrees & nearly everything came out perfect. Will give them another nonbio wash closer to d-day but nice to know I have plenty of stuff now.

GWhiteley · 18/06/2021 21:39

@CherLW sorry to hear you've had a crappy week. I too went in this week with the same & they think some of it was dehydration.

I've been in twice in 3 weeks so could have so easily been in the same position as you.

It probably seems quite overwhelming, but just the & take it one day at a time.

I've got a growth scan on tues as well. We can be scan buddies

SP2Bx · 18/06/2021 21:51

❤️ to those of you having a rough time at the moment, hope the growth scans bring a little relief for everybody!

On an unrelated note... almost time for another thread @Bubbles1st 😱 we are chatterboxes 🙈

SillyBry · 18/06/2021 22:05

@Newmum110 I’ve just pulled all of my stuff out of a hot wash with lots of vanish and like you say, thank goodness, it all looks SO much better!!!
I’m going to pack it back away and will have to wash it again over the summer but at least I know it’s not ruined!
One of the sleeping bags practically had a crust... I was like I can see me missing a stain, but not that!
My pregnancy pillow also smells like the attic, so that’s also had a hot wash 🤣
All good fun hey!!

marshmallowmode · 18/06/2021 22:41

We haven't done the nursery yet but my pram arrived today and my first order or baby clothes 😊
Ordered the pram as we found a great offer online (saved over 150 quid). Haven't tried it out though so a bit of a gamble! Not sure I can bring myself to get it out of the box yet, that feels somehow too scary.
The baby clothes are adorable, makes me so excited to have a baby to put them on!

Bubbles1st · 18/06/2021 23:03

@SP2Bx yes I was thinking will soon need one! As far as I've been able to keep track there are no updates to the due date list. So will just copy the last one. It's great to see how many people have been active however feels like not quite so many currently engaging, I hope you're all still with us reading in the wings.

MrsTD88 · 18/06/2021 23:04

@Hopefulmummie @CherLW glad all is good with you both. ❤

Mamabearwhere · 19/06/2021 07:48

@SillyBry @Newmum110 it’s weird how baby clothes in storage get those random yellow stains isn’t it. I had the same with all my 2 babies stuff but I found a hot wash and then hanging in the sun make it come out brand new. The sun tends to get rid of most stains (even the worst poo explosions) after a hot wash so next time we get a heat wave take out the clothes and re wash!

Kirky658 · 19/06/2021 07:52

For those of you who've bought new baby clothes, what size did you get? We've got some sleepsuits and baby grows from matalan and got a newborn and a small newborn set... Kept the receipts incase we need to exchange!

Bubbles1st · 19/06/2021 07:56

@Kirky658 we have hardy bought anything, the amount of hand me downs we have been given is huge, his wardrobe is almost embarrassing.

Anyway we bought 4 newborn up to 1 month and 7 x 0-3 month sleep suits and was going to wait until 36 week growth scan to buy any more and then they would have been returnable
Most likely if needed.

However we will not be buying anymore....apart from something completely sweet to being him home in.

OP posts:
Mamabearwhere · 19/06/2021 08:01

@Kirky658 not too many newborn thing as they literally last 5 minutes before they grow out. I’ve bought 3/4 nice newborn stuff to bring him home in / newborn family photos. The rest are 0-3. If it’s a bit big is no big deal you can roll up sleeve etc.

I’ve just ordered some newborn nappies and find them the cutest compared to clothes! They’re so small 🥰

Kirky658 · 19/06/2021 08:08

@bubbles1st @mamabearwhere good to know, yeah I said to DH not to buy too many so we've got x 3 long sleepsuits and x 5 baby grows (I think that's what they're called, the ones with no arms and legs haha!). I don't know what to get to bring her home in, sounds awful I've hardly given that any thought at all!

CobleCloud · 19/06/2021 08:18

I'm still here reading in the wings ladies. Just been quiet as had a couple of tough weeks with the heat, it's been a struggle and we've had a couple of delays on our house move so feel very under prepared re nursery etc still have everything crossed we will be in before baby arrives and to top it off I've got my Covid vaccine today which I'm super anxious about, it took me a while to decide to have it.

Sending love to al those who have had a tough time with GD diagnosis.. I have had my test yet. Thanks

KHR1 · 19/06/2021 08:56

Sorry to those who have had a tough week Flowers

With baby clothes I've just got 0-3, my DD was quite big so she was okay starting ibt hen, they were a little baggy but don't think newborn would have lasted her more than a week or two! We've started getting some things out of the attic and getting them through the wash. When are people starting to pack their hospital bag?

Finally caved and booked a 4d scan for this weekend!
