I'm due 7th June with my first baby 💛💛💛

Evening all.
Petra Hazel was born at 9.55 this morning via emergency c section following a concerning ctg. She didn't tolerate the pessary and at 9am they decided it needed to come out. Her heart rate dropped and
it was all systems go! My
husband made it into theatre at 9.50,
5 min before her. All said an done as stressful as it was, I wouldn't change this 5lb 14oz bundle for the world. Good luck ladies. X

@AlRRRR I had to give my Mum directions the other day and I was falling asleep in her car. I was trying so hard to stay awake 🤣🤣

@Sitchervice gosh! Maybe it’s the body conserving the energy for what’s to come, really don’t remember this 4 yrs ago....

38+4 today, I’ve had a sore stomach since I woke up and I’m weirdly excited about it!

Had an appointment today with midwife , she said baby has moved down and god heartbeat etc. I'll be going in next week again. I haven't felt any signs of anything happening soon but I guess you never know !

Just wondering if you are bringing a peri peri bottle or just using a normal sports cap bottle for the after care ?

@TerryRose I've just chucked a normal empty water bottle in my hospital bag. Can't see much difference in pouring that down rather than squirting it from a sports cap!

@Mackie2020 thank you ! Was wondering was it just a gimmick or what as they are so expensive!

@Sitchervice can't believe it !!! Due on the 14th so even if I go over, I won't be left go over more than 10 days so it will definitely be a June baby 😍 hope you are getting on well.

I've finally bought everything on my baby list so treated myself to a foot spa from Boots , felt nice to get something for myself for a change 🤣🤣

Big congratulations! Take it easy the best you can after the c-section. I’m glad Petra is well and your husband made it - just! Does sound stressful though!

Is anyone else flaking out in this heat? I’m due tomorrow, feel like a whale, and like I can’t cool down anywhere! I hope the babies manage ok when they arrive!

@BethannieW the heat is so hard, thought I would sit out for a while but couldn't even stand being outside hanging out the clothes so couldn't have coped with sitting in the sun even in the shade . So exciting you are at the actual due date , hopefully baby will make an arrival soon! Must be so uncomfortable especially in this heat . Best of luck .

Yes, I'm not liking the heat. I woke up at night and was finding it uncomfortable to breathe.

My due date is a week today but I am pretty sure I'm going over as it's my first and haven't felt any pains etc.

@MimiDaisy11 yeah it's my first as well and feel like I'll go over , haven't any increase in pains or lots the plug or anything but I'm trying to enjoy the time I have left before the madness kicks off 🤣

Hi all, hope everyone is coping ok with the late May heatwave. By LMP my due date is today which is why Im on the June train but after my 12 week scan the EDD was moved forward to the 28th May. So technically Im now 40+4. Starting to struggle now as want baby to be here but still no signs/ indications of impending labour. Tried everything to get things moving but no luck. Hopefully at my midwife appointment tomorrow I can get some good news.

Congratulations on those who have already had their babies, hopefully we all get to meet ours soon.

@fluffybunny86 oh you must be wrecked ! Have they mentioned anything about doing a sweep or induction ?
