Good afternoon, Is anyone else feeling the pressure down into the cervix and the butt (sorry 🤣🤣🤣) like loads and loads, I’m 36+ 3 and my word.... feels so sore

I just got my covid vaccine letter through. The date of my appointment is of course my due date lol. I feel like I'm going to go over but all the same, will try to reschedule.

@AIRRRR I’m 36+6 today and yes the pressure is definitely a strange feeling haha. Am hoping it’s a case of things moving in the right direction!

@MimiDaisy11 I got a letter informing me it was my turn but I haven’t booked it yet, Just can’t decide to wait or just do it, don’t want to feel poorly once I’ve had it

@Sweetmad It’s my 2nd and I didn’t get this pressure feeling this early, and without going into too much info, my butt is so sore but i’m not constipated or having any toilet issues! Just the pressure, gosh... has your MW said anything about engagment to you? x

@Sweetmad Forgot to finish before pressing send, my notes say 3/5 engaged today, and it was 4/5 2 weeks, so could account for the pressure!

@AIRRRR ah this is my first so all very new to me! I know what you mean extortionate amount of pressure that definitely wasn’t there before 😂😂 I had 36 week appt last week and she could only feel his shoulders right down on my pubic bone as head has disappeared so he is completely engaged however I googled that complete engagement is good but doesn’t mean labour could be early. Am feeling tired and fed up now😫 has yours said about baby being engaged? X

@AIRRRR I’ve been getting this since about 35/36 weeks and I’m 38 + 3 now. Mine just makes me need the toilet and as soon as I’ve had a poo it passes. I don’t remember it when I was pregnant with my son either but also don’t remember pooing this much either so maybe it’s her position. I was assessed in DAU for possible pre eclampsia the other day and they have written in my notes 3/5 palpable head but it’s the first time they’ve written anything about how engaged she is so don’t know how long she’s been like that for 🤷🏼‍♀️ I hate this waiting part, wondering if anything different might be the start of something!

I've been getting tightening today with some back pain. I constantly need to pee but that's no different to me.

My feet though 😭 so huge and hurt I'm wearing flip flops. My dad likened me to a hobbit.

Congrats @BlondePotter. Babies are really coming now! My induction has started! Midwife said, Babys so low it was tricky to get it on although cervixs closed. It wasn't comfy but was only 5mins and wasn't painful, for anyone else getting induced. Pessary in at 7pm, went for an hours walk. Now living on the birthing ball until bed. Hoping to avoid the drip

Yes! Playing trains with my three year old is really hard!

It’s normal if baby is riding low, promise. Engaged baby does not mean labour is close necessarily - although it is a good sign that baby will be ready when it does come!

You might find it’s worse with a full bladder and/or bowel, and gets a bit better when you’ve paid a visit?

@AIRRRR no 38+1 today but have preeclampsia. Getting some cramps, but it may just be in my head! Like throbbing down there.

The cervix pressure feels like my waters going to go at any moment sometimes. Very uncomfortable! I'm 2/5 engaged, have been 3/5 since 31 weeks though so don't think it means much really

@Lovethatjourneyforme Yes the cervix pressure!!!! And reaaaaaalll stabbing pains, I almost expect the waters to flood out and really wish they would now 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@BethannieW Same here, I have a 4 yr old girl, and although she’s very easy to deal with, she has a floor bed and reading the stories is amazingly uncomfortable hahaha

Introducing Luna! Born at 38+4 weighing 7lb7 after induction as it was confirmed my waters had gone. I had an epidural as they said I would need to have the drip and although I wanted to avoid all this, it ended up being a great decision and I ended up not needing the drip or any intervention. Would definitely have an epidural again! Good luck to all those imminently close too xx

I'm 38 weeks on Tuesday, I've an appointment tomorrow with the midwife just for the weekly check up . Haven't noticed any changes really apart from the past two days I'm peeing constantly day and night but that's probably because I've been drinking more without realising it due to the heat . Super tired today but then got a burst of energy .
