@rach921 @raddarwazeh same here! Midwife said I would possibly have some movement by 20 week scan. But anything up to 24 weeks is normal for first baby. Like you say I might have felt things but not sure if it's gas!!! Haha x

Hi @D0nut, congratulations on finding out you're having a girl! Lovely to hear the heartbeat too. I've had sharp twinges yes but I would say they were occasional. Hoping your pains ease soon. Rest well xx

@Kirky658 @leftitlate37 I would honestly recommend doing NCT did it during my last pregnancy and have made amazing friends through it we are still close now little ones are 2.5years old. Having mums to spend your maternity leave with etc is so good, I’ve signed up to do the NCT refresher for second time parents and hope I find another amazing bunch of mums. I also did hypnobirthing with my last pregnancy it was through company called hippo birth. It was really good as it really just prepares you in terms of knowing what to expect and to take control back and to deal with fight/flight I did it far to late into pregnancy and missed my last session as had son - by csection but I used the techniques to calm me whilst that was all happening so I’m happy I did it.

thanks for the advice and tips @2021mumma thats really good to hear; and sounds like we may need to do both then if want to try hypnobirthing too.

Thanks @AdventuresAwait and @leftitlate37 I’ve still got twinging but I’m not feeling any worse so I’m taking that as a good sign and hoping a good nights sleep will help.

For hypnobirthing a friend recommended the course with the positive birth company which I have paid for but not started yet.

Anyone else struggling with sleep? It takes me forever to fall asleep and tend to wake up middle of the night and take 2/3 hours to fall back to sleep again. Getting so exhausting !

I've got my 20 week scan tomorrow and am nervous. Trying to keep myself calm but am failing spectacularly. It isn't till tomorrow afternoon so am going to do my best to keep myself busy in the morning. I am still trying to convince dh that we should find out the sex. I spoke to my dad today who said he dreamt I had a boy, dh has previously dreamt it is a girl and I am none the wiser. The symptoms this pregnancy have overlapped between the ones I had with my dd, ds and I have had a few new to boot. Is there anyone else who is waiting till the birth to find out what they are having, I need company?

@Mamabearwhere I fall asleep easily but wake several times on the night and really struggle ro get back to sleep. It's sods law that I tend to fall asleep 30 to 60 minutes before I need ro be up for work.

@Mamabearwhere I’ve been having some difficulty sleeping too. I’m more like @Sceptre86 in that I fall asleep ok but then wake up. It was particularly bad last night too. I lay awake for ages between 2-5:30am. And now I’m exhausted!

Hey girls! @Sceptre86 and @D0nut thats exactly like me! i go to sleep fine and then wake up around 3am and toss and turn until its time to get up-so annoying! doesn't help i need to pee most of the time.

My 20 week scan is the 4th May and time seems to be dragging so much! good luck for all the scans today/this week!

Lovely to catch up on everything! Thanks for the sling/carrier recommendations, this is the one thing I am planning to purchase so I can have my hands free as it will be our second DC. Had never heard of the Konny ones before, they look great!

@Sceptre86 we're also keeping the sex a surprise so I can keep you company. I spend everyday trying to guess though

Scan is 5th May and time is going soooo slowly, still seems ages away!

@2021mumma thanks for the feedback on the nct classes, really good to know. The other thing that's stopping me is that they start on 21st June which is DH's 30th birthday 😂

Been for my 16 weeks (I'm actually 17+4) appointment today. She checked for the heartbeat due to my worries about movements and all was well 🥰
Next appointment is my 20 week scan in 2 weeks

Hi all, sorry been awol again. Had a busy few days. Back to school runs and running around after my little one 🤣. Bump has popped! 20 weeks tomorrow 🥰. Getting super anxious for my scan Friday and it’s not until 3pm. On the sling chat, I had a baby bjorn and an ergo baby for my DS. Not sure which one to get this time and to be honest I’ve not looked. I don’t feel like I can until I know he’s all ok in there. How is everyone doing? Anyone still suffering with exhaustion? I am sooooo tired!!! Keep falling asleep again whilst getting my DS to bed. Also I am starving. Feel like a right fatty stuffing my face all the time 🤣🤣

I have my 20 week scan tomorrow.. Can't believe how quick it has came around but think I'm more nervous for this than I was for 12 week one. Just want baby to be healthy.

Has anyone else got theirs this week?

Thanks everyone. The scan went well and after much cajoling on my end dh agreed to find out the sex as long as we don't tell anyone irl. The spnographer asked what my gut instinct was and I said a girl.

I was right!💖 I would have been happy with either but am so happy my dd is going to get the sister she has been asking me for although I think my ds might be a little disappointed. Baby kept waving at us and looks like her brother with her daddy's big lips. I'm anxious to meet her now!

I had a phone call from my consultant asking to speak to me today as I was coming in for the scan anyway as opposed to tomorrow. I have a low lying placenta so 🤞if it moves up I will be able to try for a natural delivery. If not by 32 weeks then they will book me in for a section again.

I also found out my sister is expecting a boy ! So excited x
