That's great @Hopefulmummie! We've had people ask and I didn't know what to say so I've started one of these lists after your post. Thanks for sharing👍

Kirky658 · 03/05/2021 19:24

Had to share my gender reveal cake I made ladies, very chuffed and family all over the moon x

I've seen bump movement today. Not just felt 8t, seen ripples. Very funny. Am 23+4 today so baby is obvs getting big enough to make some ripple through anterior placenta.

Congrats on the recent girls added to list.

Squibble84 · 03/05/2021 19:46

Thanks @SP2Bx and @CherLW it’s hard when there always seems something to worry about! 🙈 I haven’t had stomach purring but I have had the baby make lots of quick movements is succession! It could be hiccups maybe?

@Catkin7 last pregnancy at one point DDs head went off the scale, she wasn’t even on a centile! She was the other way though and it was over 100 percentile. She was born with a perfectly normal sized head! 🤷‍♀️ Not sure how accurate the measurements are at this stage but definitely speak to your midwife for your own reassurance.

@Kirky658 that could looks amazing!! Xx

Squibble84 · 03/05/2021 19:47

*cake!

SP2Bx · 03/05/2021 20:03

Amazing cake @Kirky658 ! Hope it all went well today 💖

I was certain I felt some movement about 2 weeks ago, like little taps, but have barely felt a thing since 😔 I'm 19+5 today and have my scan on Thursday so will be interesting to know if I have an anterior placenta or something 🤷🏼‍♀️ There's the occasional bubbles and pops but nothing I could say for certain is baby. Just want to feel them now!!!

AdventuresAwait · 03/05/2021 20:24

Lovely cake @Kirky658 xx

CherLW · 03/05/2021 20:40

@SP2Bx I felt little taps from about 18 weeks but from 20 weeks it was more regular and maybe the last week (I’m now 22+3) it’s been stronger at times too.

I think now I’m feeling them more I worry when I don’t feel them enough!

KHR1 · 03/05/2021 23:06

@crobo87 I've had a leg cramps in the last few weeks, it's awful isn't it. No tips for getting rid of it as the aftermath a seem to last ages but hope yours goes soon!

@Kirky658 love the cake, it looks lovely

@Catkin7 my DDs head was 15th percentile, abdomen (65th) and femur (99th) and both my consultant and the midwife said it was fine as long as they followed their own curve. When I looked online before I asked them I managed to convince myself they were all supposed to be the same percentile as eachother but they said not.

Mamabearwhere · 04/05/2021 04:27

@CherylLW I had a similar vibrating sensation a few weeks ago right by my belly button. Worried me at the time snd felt a bit strange but it has since stopped snd when I asked my midwife she didn’t seem concerned.

unicornpower · 04/05/2021 07:25

Morning ladies! I have my 20 week scan today and I am so so so nervous and panicking like mad! Its at 1pm so got some time to kill first but I keep convincing myself it'll be bad news, I don't know why but I'm winding myself up. Managed to sleep till about 7am miraculously but already about to start pacing the house! I need a handhold this morning I think xxx

bewitchingnight · 04/05/2021 08:05

Good luck @unicornpower it's so much more likely to be good news but so hard not to be nervous! It'll be so exciting to see your little one later today x

Scotti84 · 04/05/2021 08:57

@Catkin7 congrats on the girl!

@Kirky658 that cake looks awesome! From a how it looks and how I bet it tastes point (im having massive baked goods cravings this week!)

@unicornpower good luck with the scan! I know how youre feeling, i think it's a case of work ourselves up to expect the worst then anything less is a relief. Let us know how it goes!

Anyone else getting lower back pain? I thought it was the bone at the bottom of my spine but i guess it's probably more likely to be muscle pain. Can't seem to get comfy sitting or laying at night!

Kirky658 · 04/05/2021 09:06

@unicornpower sending hugs and hand holds, know how you feel I had to wait till 3:30 last week for mine it was agony! Just remember that when you see your little bub on the screen it makes it all worthwhile 😍

This anterior placenta is annoying me. I really wanna feel baby kicking and have felt very little movement yet! I also have my whooping cough vaccine on Thursday, yay.

Is anyone else literally always feeling exhausted? The last couple of weeks I've been so drained, had a few where I felt really energised but I'm knackered all the time now x

CherLW · 04/05/2021 09:17

@Mamabearwhere thank you for the message, it’s so hard not to worry when I don’t know what’s normal and what’s not! The vibrating seems to have stopped today so hopefully it will stay that way now!

@unicornpower think of you today, the wait is horrible and it’s so natural for us to think the worse. Hoping everything will be just perfect for you 💗

@Kirky658 I know how you feel about the anterior placenta! It’s a pain! I found out at my 12 week scan that I had one and at my 20 week they said ‘anterior high’. I’ve felt a lot more movements in the last week or so... I’m now 22+4. Hopefully not too much longer until you start feeling them more regularly.

bewitchingnight · 04/05/2021 09:24

Yes @Kirky658 to the lower back pain! Anterior placenta here too which is annoying, I would say in the last week (21 weeks onwards) the movements are much stronger although I wouldn't say more frequent. Your cake looked amazing by the way!

bewitchingnight · 04/05/2021 09:25

Sorry I'm always tired @Kirky658 and the back pain was in agreement to @Scotti84

Kirky658 · 04/05/2021 09:26

@cherlw @bewitchingnight thanks ladies good to know, I'm 21 weeks tomorrow so hopefully it won't be too long. I keep saying to myself, get to 24 weeks then if anything bad were to happen our little girl would be able to survive. I keep worrying about the stupidest of things!

CherLW · 04/05/2021 09:31

@Kirky658 I worry all the time about crazy little things! I mainly feel movement in the centre or to the left of my tummy... I never feel anything on the right so I’m telling myself my placenta must be there!
I feel most in the morning or at night so I spend far too long In bed as I don’t want to get up and miss all the moving about!

AdventuresAwait · 04/05/2021 09:47

@unicornpower all the best for your scan today. Exciting! I had mine on Friday and it was amazing to see baby girl in so much detail.

@Scotti84 I've still got my lower back pain so I sympathise. I was told it's the relaxin softening the ligaments and the change can cause pain. The physio told me to tuck my bottom in when standing and I think it's made quite a difference.

@Kirky658, I need to book my whooping cough vaccine... thanks for the reminder!
I am with you with the exhaustion. Have been drained and emotional the last few days.
Like you & @CherLW I have a high anterior placenta too. Really want to feel stronger movements now!

HollyMoore · 04/05/2021 11:05

Hey @Bubbles1st I'm expecting a little girl on 17th Sept :-)

Scotti84 · 04/05/2021 13:43

@AdventuresAwait I'll try that, thank you!

Finally get to see a midwife tomorrow, will be a relief to ask her about a few things!

Mamabearwhere · 04/05/2021 15:41

I’m sorry if this is really shallow but is anyone else feeling down with the weight gain? I don’t have much of an appetite and only having salads and soups, occasional bit of protein but my weight gain is just crazy. You’d think I’m eating carbs snd sugar all day long. I’ve put on 9kg already and I’m 20 weeks.

deedeebythesea · 04/05/2021 15:44

@Noodles4Me That must have been amazing to see! I didn't realise you could see movements so early on, esp. with anterior placenta which I do have too. DH will be so delighted when it finally happens for us!

@unicornpower how did you scan go? 💗

unicornpower · 04/05/2021 15:56

Hey girls! Scan was great, baby was wriggling all over the place so took a while to get all the measurements but all looks lovely and healthy which is amazing! My placenta is lying low so I have a scan at 32 weeks to check it's moved up out of the way so hoping it does Smile

We are also having a baby girl! I am in shock as I was convinced she was a boy! DH is delighted and can't wait to sign her up to play golf Hmm

Thanks for all your messages this morning, they really made me feel better xxxx
