Yay @Kirky658 !!! How lovely ☺️ Thats such a clear photo. Hope all went well for you too @Maybebaby29 ! Can't wait for mine next week.

I got offered the promotion I went for at work today, despite them knowing I'm pregnant! It's been stressing me out a bit so it's very reassuring to know that I work for a great company, as although they can't legally discriminate, many still do!!!

Kirky658 · 28/04/2021 18:17

@sp2bx get in!!!!!!! Fab news, you go girl

Sceptre86 · 28/04/2021 18:24

@Kirky658 congratulations on your baby girl x
@SP2Bx congratulations on your promotion x

Looks like the girls are catching up!

AdventuresAwait · 28/04/2021 18:29

Lovely! Congratulations @Kirky658!
And congratulations on your promotion @SP2Bx xx

Maybebaby29 · 28/04/2021 18:38

@Kirky658 awww I’m so glad everything went well for you! What a cute photo 😍
My placentas lying completely over my cervix, they don’t think it’s going to move cus of my scar tissue from my last two sections 😢 they are sending me to a different hospital for a different type of scan to check if it’s attached to my uterus wall. If so they are going to have to cus through it when I have my c section which is going to make me bleed a lot so they need to have a team of people with blood ready for me to give me a transfusion 😢😢 I’m proper scared! They said baby is growing fine it shouldn’t affect him. I can bleed cus of where it is so if I get any bleeding or pain I need to go to the hospital, they said it doesn’t normally affect baby but if it’s a lot of bleeding and it’s coming from my placenta then they need to monitor him, could mean me staying in hospital! I’m so nervous now 😢 I’m cried as soon as I walked out the hospital x

Squibble84 · 28/04/2021 18:53

Oh no @Maybebaby29 that must be scary not knowing the full picture at the moment! When is the scan to check if it’s attached to your uterus wall? At least the baby is growing well and the extra monitoring will hopefully give you some peace of mind. Sending hugs xx

Kirky658 · 28/04/2021 19:08

@maybebaby29 awwww honey sorry to hear, they know what they're doing though. Think it's called placenta previs, it's quite common xx

Hopefulmummie · 28/04/2021 19:19

Hope everyone is doing OK. I'm feeling more and more movements this week which is lovely Smile

A local scan clinic were looking for women to scan for free as part of training new staff so I'm booked in next week. Can't wait to see baby again

Maybebaby29 · 28/04/2021 19:23

Thank you ladies! They think I might have placenta accreta where it attaches to your muscle in your uterus. Which could mean a hysterectomy 😢 they are referring me for an mri it should be within the next 1-2 weeks. I’m just glad little mans doing ok I hope it’s not going to affect him at all x

SP2Bx · 28/04/2021 19:40

@Maybebaby29 First off it's excellent news that baby is doing great and seems oblivious to everything you're dealing with! Sounds like they'll be unaffected throughout as well which is wonderful. It must have been so scary when they explained what it will mean for you come delivery time, but crossing everything for you that they're wrong and you get some positive news at the next scan 🤞🏼 It sounds like they're pretty clued up on it either way, so must be something they deal with quite regularly and you'll be in fantastic hands. If they're prepared for it it's a much better situation than it being a surprise on the day! Sending love ❤️

AdventuresAwait · 28/04/2021 19:48

@Maybebaby29, It must be scary and I'm sorry to hear that. Glad you're baby is doing well and hope you can find out more soon xx

CobleCloud · 28/04/2021 20:01

Congratulations @Kirky658 glad all went well. ☺️

Sending love @Maybebaby29 🥰 glad little man is doing well though, and like others have said they seemed clued up on what's happening but a lot to take in and very emotional on top of an already emotional situation to be in today, which cannot of been easy. Make sure you take care of yourself and take it easy! X

Mamabearwhere · 28/04/2021 20:55

Hi ladies random question but has anyone else experienced a loss/reduced taste of salt?

It’s not Covid because I’ve done multiple tests in the past few weeks. My doctor said it’s common to experience change of taste during pregnancy and didn’t seem concerned but I was just wondering if it’s just me? Literally everything that should be salty taste super bland, even salt and vinegar crisps don’t taste normal.

KH512 · 28/04/2021 21:34

@Bubbles1st I had my 20 week scan last week and they couldn't get all the measurements either. I was very anxious before the scan and felt kinda deflated afterwards as I didnt get that feeling of relief (had a little cry too). Don't have my rescan until next week! Someone said to me if they were extremely concerned they would have you back asap, so I'm trying to think it's a positive. It's hard though!

RaeRae84 · 28/04/2021 23:20

@Maybebaby29 hope you're ok 😕 sending love ❤️

unicornpower · 29/04/2021 08:16

@Maybebaby29 Oh i can imagine that must have been a shock for you, is there a chance it can move up? hopefully it does and you avoid that outcome :( i'm sure the nurses and doctors will look after you though, i think its fairly common isn't it? Great news that baby isn't at all bothered by it! I hope you're feeling a bit better this morning.

@Kirky658 Congratulations on your baby girl! how exciting!

Maybebaby29 · 29/04/2021 08:20

Thanks ladies, no placenta accreta is very rare apparently. I think it’s placenta preveria your thinking of that’s more common.

I’m super scared I’m going to bleed to death! I’m only 29 and the thought of having a hysterectomy upsets me. Hopefully when I have my mri it’s not what they think, I’d rather think the worst tho so if it does turn out I have it it won’t be as much of a shock. Id rather know what to expect. Fingers crossed everything works out and little man is ok x

LittleCatDog · 29/04/2021 08:30

@Bubbles1st please can I be added? I'm due 23rd September and it's a girl!
