Hello everyone. Hope you are all well 😊. Sorry I’ve been so quiet. I’ve been feeling so anxious and worried. I will be glad when I’ve had my scan and know everything is ok in there. Scan is on the 23rd so not to long to wait. Anyone else having theirs around the same date?

I’m due 9/9/21 and we are having a baby boy 💙

leftitlate37 · 15/04/2021 10:22

Hey @mumof23188,sorry you've been feeling anxious and worried, is this down to anything in particular? Let us know if we can help...you're in good company here! My scan is same day as u :) we haven't got long to go! Have u felt any flutters or movement yet? X

bluemagicalsky · 15/04/2021 10:22

Thanks @Bubbles1st
Due date is 21st September
I'm impatiently waiting for my 20 week scan on 10th May to find out the sex. I'll update ☺️

Bubbles1st · 15/04/2021 10:31

Thanks ladies, keep them coming and I'll put something together!

aurora2021 · 15/04/2021 10:44

Hi all, sorry I've dropped off a bit over the last week! Congratulations to everyone who's recently found out what they're having ☺

Great idea @Bubbles1st, we actually found out what we're having last week! So due date 18th September and we're having a girl 🎀

mumof23188 · 15/04/2021 10:44

@leftitlate37 thank you so much. I think it’s just a case of knowing what can wrong if that makes sense. I’ve been like this with my previous pregnancies too. I’m annoyed with myself for feeling this way so been trying to ignore my feelings as best I can. Ah lovely we have them on the same day, it’s definitely not long now ☺️. Felt the odd flutter but I have an anterior placenta. How about you? I got a Doppler so I’ve been listening to his heartbeat which is lovely! Thank you for your message ☺️

unicornpower · 15/04/2021 10:47

@Sophieandtiger snap on the due date! Congratulations! I was the same when DH arranged for his friend to come over last week to sit in the garden, i was very worked up about it for no good reason. I hope it passes soon for you.

@Taybz I can only speak for tesco but they have a non-alcoholic section which is right by the wine with all the non-alcohol wine and beers but then the shloer and appletiser was the other end by all the tonics etc which took me an age to figure out as i just a wanted appletiser haha

@SP2Bx ooo will look at morrisons, im a prosecco fiend so nosecco was just too sweet for me! seeking an alternative haha

AdventuresAwait · 15/04/2021 10:50

Have many of you got a doppler? I'm so tempted as I am still not sure I'm feeling movements and feel my bump has changed over the past 2 days so am a bit concerned. Also having some watery discharge. But worried that I might not find the heartbeat easily so would be even more concerned!

aurora2021 · 15/04/2021 10:58

@AdventuresAwait I personally haven't yet, as I have an anterior placenta and have heard this can make it trickier to find the heartbeat, but equally I know with an anterior it is harder to feel movement so the reassurance would be nice so it is a bit of a catch-22! Do you have an anterior as well? I've had quite a lot of watery discharge on and off too, my midwife said it can be normal in pregnancy.

SP2Bx · 15/04/2021 11:07

Love this idea @Bubbles1st ...

22/09/21 - Surprise!!! 💛

@Taybz those things tend to be in the alcohol section under "zero/low alcohol" :)

AdventuresAwait · 15/04/2021 11:45

@aurora2021, thank you for replying to me. Yes I have an anterior placenta too. Thanks for letting me know that they said watery discharge can be normal. I rang the number I was given by the midwife and they won't see me as I'm only 19 weeks and they don't do anything until 20 weeks. So just hoping baby is OK. Not sure why my bump has changed so much. Just had this worrying feeling for 2 days. They said I could ask my midwife to listen for the heartbeat.

aurora2021 · 15/04/2021 11:56

@AdventuresAwait I think if you feel like something isn't quite right, you should ask your midwife to listen for the heartbeat, it will give you that reassurance. I think the GP can also listen to it if your midwife isn't available (my midwife for example is only part-time but she said the GP can help if needed). My bump changes throughout the day, depending on what I've eaten and how much I've drank. I think generally at this time, the uterus is moving up so that could explain the change, but hopefully if you can see your midwife, she can check that too.

AdventuresAwait · 15/04/2021 11:58

Thank you @aurora2021. I called and can go in today so will get checked out xx

Noodles4Me · 15/04/2021 12:22

I have anterior and never had an issue finding the heartbeat on my doppler. I didn't feel any movements until recently but now can sometimes feel. Still check his heartbeat too Smile

Jay3004 · 15/04/2021 12:31

@Bubbles1st great idea thank you! 22/09/21 - boy 💙

aurora2021 · 15/04/2021 12:38

@AdventuresAwait great news that they can see you today.

@Noodles4Me ah okay thanks, that's useful to know! How far along were you when you first felt any movements? I'm almost 18 weeks and don't think I've felt anything yet.

unicornpower · 15/04/2021 12:42

good luck @AdventuresAwait i hope all is okay for you xxx

Kirky658 · 15/04/2021 12:43

Hey @mumof23188 I've also been feeling up and down so know how you feel. My 20 week scan is on the 28th so not long after yours x

bewitchingnight · 15/04/2021 12:53

Great idea @Bubbles1st my due date is 8th September and I'll be finding out the sex (hopefully) next week!

@mumof23188 and @leftitlate37 my scan is 23rd too!

@AdventuresAwait glad you can go in today hope all is ok

Noodles4Me · 15/04/2021 13:12

@aurora2021 it was literally bang on when I turned 20 weeks. A little thump.

Then next day, little wiggle feelings in an evening which has been most evenings since. I doubt I feel arms etc (doppler picks them up) but if he is turning and wriggling I do feel that.

Rach921 · 15/04/2021 13:34

@Bubbles1st 23 September and I’m finding out Saturday x

bewitchingnight · 15/04/2021 13:43

Oh @Noodles4Me that makes me feel so excited for what's to come! I think I've had little movements but not much I could be 100% on. I'm 20 weeks on weds so hope it won't be long

Sophieandtiger · 15/04/2021 14:20

Thanks all for the warm welcome, being part of this groups is cheering me up

@SP2Bx you are right maybe it is just due to this week's hormones, very reassuring to know others feel the same.

@Taybz we won't be finding out the gender so we have a surprise. Doesn't stop me trying to guess everyday though! I have a feeling it may be a boy.

@unicornpower great to have a due date twin! When is your 20 week scan? Another 3 weeks for me, which I I think is why i feel a bit down and demotivated this week, it's dragging!

@Poppins2016 thank you so much for the beer recommendation, I love beer and had been desperate to find a good alcohol free version. Is it fully alcohol free? I'd been drinking the brewdog which is really nice but then realised it has o.5% alcohol. I know it's probably fine but on anxious days I'm top worried to have it!

@mumof23188 I hope you feel better soon, you are definitely not alone

Sophieandtiger · 15/04/2021 14:24

@Bubbles1st Due Date is 20th sept and we are having a surprise. Great idea to keep a list!

mumof23188 · 15/04/2021 14:32

@AdventuresAwait hope all goes well for you.

@Kirky658 sorry to hear you are feeling up and down too. It’s hard isn’t it. I’ve promised myself after my scan that I’m going to enjoy every moment as this will be my last baby. Not long until your scan either ☺️. I’m wishing the days away!

@bewitchingnight wow a few of us on the same day. Mine is at 1.30pm.

@Sophieandtiger thank you so much 🥰
