@Noodles4Me what Doppler did you buy? I know they’re not recommended nowadays but I’m considering getting one too!

Maybebaby29 · 30/03/2021 19:24

I had a Doppler with my previous two pregnancy’s, made me feel a lot better. I understand why they aren’t recommended tho, I’d be in a right flap now if I couldn’t find the hb 😣 I have my 16 week midwife appointment & gender scan tomorrow! I’ve been a bit worried the last few days as babies movements have been a bit quite but seems to be picking up slightly tonight. Hope you ladies are ok

FTEngineerM · 30/03/2021 19:32

God this thread flies 😂.

Some super pretty names on here, I loooove Aria!

@Taybz the heartbeat bears are cute, do it.

I know what you mean @Bubbles1st it’s such a long slog this bit, no elbows/feet in the ribs to reconfirm you’re pregnant. I really start enjoying it when I can feel/see them wriggling around, and tbh, I’m going to treasure that because I know it’ll be the last time.

My stomach is aching like hell tonight 🧐 out of nowhere.

I told work and it was exactly like I was dreading; all the ‘bloody hell you’re at it like rabbits’ and ‘do you have a tv’ comments came out 😳. One even laughed and then told his wife (wth) and she laughed too. It’s not that odd is it having a small gap?! Suppose it’s over with now, then I’ll be laughing into my next maternity leave 😂🤭.

Scan Saturday morning and I have scanxiety building I can feel it. Need to try and stop thinking about it.

@Noodles4Me aww I bet that’s nice to hear!

FTEngineerM · 30/03/2021 19:32

Good luck for scan tomorrow @Maybebaby29

AdventuresAwait · 30/03/2021 19:48

Ooh exciting @Maybebaby29!

Mamabearwhere · 30/03/2021 21:45

Thank you to the lovely ladies who recommended the aveeno cream for dry skin. My skin already absolutely loves it and so nice to be itching and flaking anymore!

AdventuresAwait · 31/03/2021 16:34

@Mamabearwhere, I also got some and agree that it's lovely! I'm using that in the morning and the Weleda oil at night.

Anyone talking to baby yet?? Have read different things about when they start to hear so wondered if anyone is consciously talking to baby already?

Noodles4Me · 31/03/2021 16:47

@Squibble84 it's from Baby Doppelar. Com.

I'm only using it as reassurance till I can feel the Baby move properly which could take ages with an anterior placenta Sad

Just a week and a bit to wait for the 20 week scan though.

Mamabearwhere · 31/03/2021 16:47

@AdventuresAwait does shouting/nagging at your other kids all day long count? 🤣🤣

AdventuresAwait · 31/03/2021 17:07

@Mamabearwhere 🤣🤣🤣

Bubbles1st · 31/03/2021 17:09

@AdventuresAwait yes I have been talking to them from the beginning, showing them things and talking through silly things daddy is doing.
Don't care if they can see yet or not just trying to remind myself they are there and include them!

DP has started talking to them too but think it's too early really 16+5 for that.

Rach921 · 31/03/2021 18:08

Hey ladies. Been awol for a few days as I moved house yesterday. Still got so much unpacking to do but getting there. By the end of yesterday my tummy felt very achy, a bit like when you do too much at the gym! Not sure if I overdid it or it’s just stretching? I seem to have popped overnight.

I also agree about having days where I don’t feel pregnant. It was glorious weather yesterday and i really wanted to sit outside with a nice glass of wine but then I was like “you can’t, you’re pregnant, remember” 😂

Poppins2016 · 31/03/2021 18:12
@AdventuresAwait does shouting/nagging at your other kids all day long count? 🤣🤣
I hope it counts... it's all I've been doing this afternoon (DS is 2.5 and pushing alllll the boundaries) 🤣

@Mamabearwhere glad you like the Aveeno and it's working for you! 🙂

Congrats on the house move @Rach921

My midwife mentioned talking to the baby at my 16 week appointment. I hadn't started but she told me I should now (18 weeks)

AdventuresAwait · 31/03/2021 19:23

That's lovely @Bubbles1st!

Great to know @KHR1, thanks. My midwife didn't mention it. I will start ☺

Totally understand @Rach921, as we moved house on Friday! Hope you settle in quickly.

Starting to feel excited/nervous for our gender scan on Friday! My bump is suddenly noticeable too so I think I'm starting to feel a bit pregnant 😍

CherylLW · 01/04/2021 08:05

Morning Everyone, hope everyone is doing well!!

Are any of the ladies with Anterior Placentas feeling any movement yet? I’m 18 weeks tomorrow... I sometimes think I feel things when I’m laying down but I really don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️

Maybebaby29 · 01/04/2021 08:32

Hi ladies! Had my gender scan yesterday! Took a while cus the cord was in the way but they said BOY 💙 although I’ve been looking at the photos and I’m still not 100% convinced cus the “Willy” part doesn’t seem to be connected in anyway to his other leg! We shall see at my 20 week scan! Lots of boys 💙

Mamabearwhere · 01/04/2021 08:39

@Maybebaby29 wow congratulations!!! Another boy 💙💙💙

FTEngineerM · 01/04/2021 08:49

Congratulations @Maybebaby29

FTEngineerM · 01/04/2021 08:50

You probably are feeling them @CherylLW they’re quite big now, the Pregnancy + app puts them at the size of an Atlantic puffin at 18 weeks.

CherylLW · 01/04/2021 08:56

@FTEngineerM I have that app too! I love it!

When I spoke to the midwife she said it might be a bit longer until I feel anything due to my placenta being the way it is... hopefully I’ll know for certain soon!

CherylLW · 01/04/2021 08:57

@Maybebaby29 Congratulations 💙💙

AdventuresAwait · 01/04/2021 09:06

Lovely @Maybebaby29! Congratulations 💙

@CherylLW, I'm 17 weeks today with an anterior placenta. Last week I thought I felt something once when laying on the sofa one evening but haven't since. Really want to! 😍

Taybz · 01/04/2021 09:08

Congratulations @Maybebaby29 another boy! Gosh so many here already - year of the boys as someone said earlier 👶 😃

@Bubbles1st that's such a lovely thing. Dh and I also talk to the baby sometimes, it makes us feel more connected. 😊

Has anyone felt movements yet? 2 weeks ago, I felt as if I could feel flutters in the morning but nothing else since then. Now, I'm worried, thinking all sorts and driving myself insane. What a journey this pregnancy train is!!

mumof23188 · 01/04/2021 09:14

@Maybebaby29 congratulations 💙. I always like to confirm at the 20 week scan. It’s nice to have the confirmation.

I’m 17 weeks today and have an anterior placenta. I’ve had an anterior with my previous two aswell. I’ve felt odd movements here and there. I remember with my last baby it wasn’t consistent til around 21/22 weeks.
