I'm probably one of the first to find out, as there are no other chats! Based off of last period I'm due December 2nd! Got my first positive early at 9dpo.
Anyone else with me yet???

Ah, @Arrierttyclock, how exciting! How long have you been in Bristol? I've lived here 7 years, originally from Scotland.

Most of the people I know have given birth at Southmead (including a friend who's an obstetrician) - it's also considerably closer to our home. Will work through the options properly but I expect we'll also end up there.

@tabbycat92 love the wfh look, it's gotta be done!! I was worrying that my work clothes won't fit by the time we get back to the office due to lockdown weight.....now they are definitely not going to fit!! 🙈 That hump day bump day sounds fun....and so cute you are still doing it!!

I've only told my DH and best friend so far. I still haven't decided when to tell people. I'll probably just do it when it feels right.

@marcella64 I've told my hairdresser (lol) but we are really close and she knew we were trying plus we were planning my hair. What are peoples thoughts on hair? I've read you shouldn't have colour on your scalp? That's it. We are telling parents this weekend and then my sister a week tomorrow.

@Neom87 thank you! I was promised a call back from the woman who does registrations today but I've not had one. She only works set days in the week 🤦🏼‍♀️

Also due on the 1st so it’s going to be a busy day for new arrivals pg ;)
Haven’t told anyone apart from best friend, will book a private scan for around 7 weeks and then May tell a few more people as so hard keeping it secret till 12 weeks!

Ah that's great!! I say new but 2 years! We're quite close to SM as well! Wonder if Wel be in there at the same time!

@lucea87 I'm pretty sure that's an old rumour from years ago! My sister is a hairdresser and she colours pregnant women's hair all the time I think.... can you imagine the roots if no one coloured theirs for 9 months! This is the nhs advice. X

Hi all, hope you don't mind me joining! Got a positive test last Wednesday, think I should be due around Dec 5th 🥰. First time for me, so glad reading through the thread that I'm not the only one feeling a little anxious!

Wow @marcella64 they look amazing!! These are my progressions so far 🤞🏻 this little friend sticks around. Giving me hell already with heartburn and fatigue mind you 😅. I know it's still v early days which is why we are cautiously optimistic!

@lucea87 I coloured my hair two days before I got my positive, so hopefully it's not a problem! Most of what I've read suggests it's not a major problem provided you're not doing it unusually frequently.

Ah I’m from Bristol too (well Portishead but close enough)! I’m going to a Southmead as I had my DS there and they were amazing.

Just got a positive today at 10dpo. Quite shocked though it’s planned. When did you tell your partners?

@French2020 I found out yesterday I might be pregnant, got a BFP today however DP is working away tonight and tomorrow.

It's a bit cringe but I've bought some size 1 white Converse booties and I'm going to give them to him as a present with the positive test in there too. He'll be absolutely ecstatic, he's desperate for a baby far more than me!

I'm exactly the same... We were trying-but-not-trying to conceive however now I got my positive I don't quite believe it's real.

We had been trying 5 cycles, I did the test Friday evening and literally ran out of the bathroom to tell him 🤣
