Happy Wednesday everyone, apologies for this post, I have just reached the point where I need to reach out for moral support from likeminded people in the same situation.

I just feel so sh*t, have done for days now, I haven't been sick but I feel sort of nausea sometimes but I don't feel like I qualify to say I have morning sickness, I feel just grim and so many food aversions that its hard to find anything to eat. I'm tired but the food aversions is the worst feeling, brings a lump into my throat just thinking about most foods and i have to psyche myself up about what we are eating for dinner and cant face actually cooking food. I'm not doing enough work despite being sat at my laptop 9-4 and work obviously don't realise but I feel guilty and unproductive.
I'm 7+5 today, next scan is 6th April when i will be 8+4, and the uncertainty grows with the amount of time gone by since the last scan showing everything was ok. The one saving grace about feeling awful is that is is a good sign things should be ok. And if i happen to feel ok one day I then worry.

I know you will all understand, OH doesn't really get it. None of my friends miscarried or had IVF, so also don't really get it.

Sunbird24 · 31/03/2021 15:58

@calmcat I’m sorry, feeling like crap sucks. Have you found any food at all that occasionally appeals, even if it’s terribly unhealthy? As far as I can tell the yolk sac is still doing the heavy lifting at this point, so don’t worry too much about what or how much you’re eating for now. Take your vitamins. Let OH do the cooking if he can, you’re busy growing a human.

MF1981 · 31/03/2021 17:13

@calmcat OMG I’m the same! I feel dreadful most of the time. I’m 11+4 now and people keep telling me it’s going to get better but I have got to the point where there are no foods that I fancy eating. Luckily my OH does all our cooking anyway and so he just puts food in front of me and I force myself to eat as much of it as I can. I was almost sick one night over the weekend but other than that it’s just nausea and headaches and tiredness pretty much all the time. I can’t even find anything I want to drink so am worried about dehydration. My scan is next week and I’m anxious about that too.

calmcat · 01/04/2021 12:34

@Sunbird24 and @MF1981 thank you for your advice and support.
I am ok eating porridge- but have to wait til lunch so the milk doesn't interfere with my thyroid meds. Beige bland food is mostly what i can face so that's making the constipation worse! My OH does cook when he's not at work, but whether i can manage to eat it is another story.

Im also struggling to find anything i want to drink, so i know what you mean, im off tea now including herbal ones and plain water so orange squash is about my limit now oh and clementine juice is like my crack cocaine, i can take Lucozade too, anything orangy. I found San Pellegrino fizzy clementine juice cans too.

@MF1981 I totally understand about the scan, I am sure everyone on here feels the same and understands. Re dehydration, try and sip though a straw and also i find cold fizzy drinks easier too.

Today is better than yesterday, i didn't even get dressed yesterday.

Sunbird24 · 01/04/2021 13:01

If orangey flavours are ok for drinks, maybe fybogel would help with the constipation?

Still no movement here, although I’ve had a bit of cramping that suggests maybe it will happen naturally before too long. I’ve got no appetite but trying to stay hydrated. Could do with losing a few pounds anyway!

calmcat · 01/04/2021 14:09

@Sunbird24 hang in there, I remember being where you are and the cramping does sound like it will happen naturally, the midwife said that as long as I didn't fill a sanitary pad more than once an hour that it was ok to stay home. look after yourself and stay as calm as you can. There are loads of horrible stories online but my experience was not so bad, not nice of course but bearable.

Sunbird24 · 01/04/2021 14:18

Thanks @calmcat - the last one started the day after I made an appointment with the EPU for surgical intervention so I’m half tempted to call them again!

MF1981 · 01/04/2021 14:24

@calmcat I’m exactly the same - currently sipping on orange lucozade with ice.

@Sunbird24 I can’t even begin to imagine. Sending you so much love.

kikisparks · 02/04/2021 17:33

@calmcat I really get you. If you’re nauseous sometimes then I think you do qualify to say you have morning sickness, afaik it doesn’t need to be vomiting (or in the morning!) sorry you’re dealing with that, I feel the same. I’ve thrown up bile about 6 times so far, most recently this morning, but I’m also pretty nauseous a lot of the time.

I’m absolutely the same with food, can’t cook and there’s very very little that I can bring myself to eat. My diet is so unhealthy! I’m always worrying that it will affect the baby but had my booking appointment this week and told the midwife I was mainly eating cereal and crackers and she said it’s fine and to eat healthily when I feel better.

I’m also a bit crap at work just now so much so that I think I’ll be logging in over the bank holiday weekend to try to catch up, and I never ever do work on holidays usually.

I very much get the anxiety too, I’m so worried all the time that things will not work out.

@MF1981 sorry to hear you’re still feeling unwell, hopefully you’ll feel better soon as you’re nearly out of the first trimester. I don’t like drinking anything either but got some appletiser today and it seems to be easier to sip (although I’m burping non stop, it’s pretty gross!)

kikisparks · 02/04/2021 17:39

@Sunbird24 I’ve been thinking of you, sorry to hear you’re still in limbo. It must be so hard, I hope that the physical side of things will progress for you soon and that you’ll be comfortable.

Sunbird24 · 02/04/2021 18:15

Thank you @kikisparks. Hopefully something happens soon. Sorry you’re struggling with the nausea, fingers crossed there’s not much longer of that left for you

Sunbird24 · 02/04/2021 19:22

You must be my lucky mascot Kiki!

kikisparks · 05/04/2021 16:43

@Sunbird24 glad it started naturally for you, hope you’ve not been in too much pain and have been able to rest, hope the physical part is over for you soon Flowers

Sunbird24 · 05/04/2021 17:20

Well I ended up in A&E last night with a haemorrhage, staying in tonight too. At least it will all be over soon 🤞

kikisparks · 05/04/2021 17:40

@Sunbird24 oh so sorry to hear that, hope it’s over very soon for you and you get home soon.

Doremifasol · 06/04/2021 10:30

Hi all, I had such a massive support from all of you and didn't wanted to disappear without saying goodbye but it took me time to open up this thread again. Sad news alert... we lost our precious baby at 10 weeks after we've heard heartbeat twice 😞. Pretty unbelievable but most likely due to hematoma/ weak cervix. As shocking it has been I am now recovering and trying to enjoy life as much as I can.

I wish you all happy and healthy pregnancies. ❤️❤️❤️

kikisparks · 06/04/2021 11:51

@Doremifasol I posted on your other thread but obviously didn’t want to say anything here until you did, I’m so very sorry for your loss Flowers wishing you all the very best with your recovery and going forward whatever path that is.

Sunbird24 · 06/04/2021 13:38

Flowers for you @Doremifasol, I’m so sorry. Whatever you do next take it gently and look after yourself x

cher1981 · 06/04/2021 15:41

@Doremifasol Oh lovely 😢 I’m really sad to hear about the loss of your precious one. It must have been hard to revisit this thread to tell us so thank you for that. I hope you continue to recover and enjoy what the future may hold ❤️ Xx big hugs

And @Sunbird24 - my thoughts are with you too. I hope it’s going as well as it possibly can (clumsy wording.. I don’t know what to say 💔) lots of squeezy hugs xx

@doremifasol & @sunbird24 im so sorry to hear your news, sending love xx I know exactly how you feel and nothing i can say can make better, but it does get better, i promise.

somethingfunny · 07/04/2021 20:47

@doremifasol & @sunbird24 I'm so sorry to hear your updates, please take care of yourselves as much as possible.

I have my 12 week scan tomorrow but have started bleeding and cramping this afternoon so am not particularly optimistic. At least I don't have long to wait for an answer.

Sunbird24 · 07/04/2021 22:30

Good luck for tomorrow @somethingfunny, everything crossed for you.

somethingfunny · 08/04/2021 07:15

I'm out. Best of luck to the rest of you. I hope this thread takes a cheerier turn soon

kikisparks · 08/04/2021 07:35

@somethingfunny oh I’m so sad to hear that, very sorry for your loss Flowers
